This park is very old and ran down. It caters to long term contractors working at building area power plants. Interior roads are rutted and narrow with encroaching trees. Our site was un-level and muddy during our visit. Most of the buildings in the park are run down and in need of demolition. There is a new housing development on adjacent land, plus the town seems to be growing in this direction. Our feeling is the owners are bidding their time for a buyout and not putting any money into the park. On the plus side, power, water and sewer hookups were all satisfactory. This is an older campground, and it shows it. That said, we were, to my total surprise, able to get the coach leveled. There is nothing fancy about this camp, which is stuck in amongst a stand of pines and oaks. (Don't expect to get a satellite signal.) I saw no play ground for kids, nor any other amenity. The Wi-Fi worked good and the power and water were acceptable. The camp is an easy drive from I-26, but the entrance is very narrow, as is the road leading to the office and around the camp to your site. (A forty-footer better disconnect at the office.) The sites appeared to filled with permanent motorhomes and trailers. The only three spots open were the "pull through" two with 30 AMP only and the third with 30 and 50 AMP. I would stay here again, but only for the night if I was traveling somewhere else. Stayed in a 34' coach with Toad. We camped at Woodsmoke Family Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

We made a reservation at this spot because it was easy access from I-26. We only stayed one night. The internal roads and sites were gravel and dirt over hilly terrain which got muddy when it rained. Most of the sites were occupied by workers in the area. We never met anyone associated with the park. We found our name and site assignment on a board on the front porch of the locked office and then proceeded to our pull through. I found the restrooms and laundry to be clean but housed in small buildings that need to be maintained. there is a nice pond and playground but this is not a destination campground. We found it was great for one night and would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Woodsmoke Family Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Sites seemed close. Roads unimproved and rough. We stayed just one night, passing through. Pretty lake at the back of the property. We camped at Woodsmoke Family Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

We called for reservation for a week, and were ASSURED by the Christian owner on the phone that ALL sites had Wi-Fi. So, we made a reservation. (We have an ebay business & need internet access). After we arrived, we were told that we could only get Wi-Fi, IF we purchased a pull through site, (which was an additional 10 per day). We felt deceived but had no choice, so we reluctantly signed. Well, guess what? Still NO Wi-Fi! Other campers were complaining and walking round the property with laptops, like diving rods trying to get a signal. The owner then tried to sell a device to us for an additional $60. How very Christian of her. BTW, we declined. After 3 days a new message was posted on the big sign out front saying: "Jesus is the best wireless connection." I had to pick my jaw up off the ground. We had lost money, because we couldn't conduct business, while we were here. Boy, talk about rubbing salt in an open wound. Though its old, I will say that it is pretty here. It is a rip off: we couldn't wait to leave. This is a bait & switch place, if I've EVER seen one. WHAT a nightmare! We camped at Woodsmoke Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Spent two nights here in our 32' Airstream TT. Rustic wooded setting, very shady. Old but clean restrooms, laundry machines almost brand new. Friendly staff (owners) do their own check-in, cleaning and landscape work. Small sites are dirt or gravel, but not very level (challenging with a large rig). Picnic table and fire ring provided. Horseshoe pit and tot lot with equipment. No pool, but less than five miles to brand new YMCA with gym and indoor pool (2800 Kennerly Rd). About half the sites appear to be seasonal/permanent residents. One mile to Food Lion and freeway onramp, but no noise here. Twelve miles to downtown. Excellent value: $20 partial, $24 full hook-up. We camped at Woodsmoke Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo
