19 Parks near Longs, South Carolina
Jul 2016 - $60.00
Nice shady campground. Very friendly staff and enjoyed my stay. LIke the fact you can go on line and pick out your camping spot. Some great restaurants nearby also if you decided not to cook. Pool was great, clean and taken care of. Friendly campers also in the campground. Need to find the garbage cans. Only had one near where my site, and it was full. Did not take the time to look for others. Maybe should mark those on the map: would be good. Would definitely stay again if I go up to that area. - Artjr
May 2016 - $50.00
Stayed here 3 nights on the way to Wilmington. Roads and sites are gravel in pretty good shape. Sites are reasonably level and very spacious. I was driving a 45 foot long Motorhome and had no problem maneuvering. All utilities worked great. Water pressure was 60 psi and the WiFi had recently been upgraded. It was the best service I've had in weeks. Everyone was very friendly. It is a short drive to the beach, but the beach is lovely. This park is also really quiet day and night. I would stay here again. - Archer2
May 2016 - $45.00
Stayed one night on the way to N. Myrtle Beach. Selected this as it was fairly close to Wilmington NC, and the battleship display at USS North Carolina. Lovely camp, clean and on a Saturday night, not crowded. Camp ground directory that we use gave it good marks, and we completely agree.
Sites are a good size, and all services worked as advertised. Dog walking is easy and lots of property walking back towards the main road, provides an interesting and lengthy walking experience. No area for off leash though.
This camp is not on water. I had expected it to be closer to the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps 5 miles away from ocean. - P_J Ontario
Feb 2016 - $55.00
My family loves Daddy Joe's! The staff is extremely friendly. They always acknowledge us as repeat customers. As a family of 5, they don't charge us for being more than a family of 4. My boys love to fish, swim, bike, and enjoy the outside movie. The park is clean, sites are spacious, and guests are valued. Highly recommend! - wlmartin1004
Nov 2015 - $13.00
Not knowing the area or campground, we booked here for 3 months. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised! We picked this campground being so close to South Carolina Border. This place is great, Sites are all paved and level pads, trimmed grass everywhere, plenty of room for 40 ft RV and car with room to spare. The staff is more than willing to help and even stop by to make sure everything is OK! The past 2 weekends every site and cabin booked, they put on Halloween themed weekends, and boy do they ever! Kids and adults all had fun! Snowbirds for $375 a month plus electric @ $.11/kWh, this is the place you want to be! No run down trailers or additions on campers! Only 40 min to Myrtle Beach! I am so pleased we found them. Feel totally safe here! Thank you for the hospitality to the owner and staff! - Kesch
Apr 2015 - $12.00
We are full time RVers, travel 12 months a year volunteering. After doing this for several years we decided to take a few months rest. We actually stayed here 2 and 1/2 months and can say this is a really great park. Extremely clean, great staff, large paved mostly pull thru sites, all level, grass at each, no mud, most roads paved with the rest scheduled for paving. As one reviewer pointed out only a few shaded sites as most are in the open with no shade. Since our stay here started in early February we wanted sun because this winter/early spring was still quite cold so wanted the benefit of the sun. This park is family owned and slowly but surely being upgraded even more. Trees have been planted at every site put still too small to provide shade. Beautiful large clean pool that seems quite new. Open all year but restaurant and store open around Easter. Ice cream parlor too. The rate was very reasonable at $350 per month with extended stays paying electric at 11 cents per KWH which we found to be very reasonable when compared to many parks that charge 14 to 15 cents per. We have stayed at many parks during our travels and this is one of the very best. Lakes, fishing, lots of activities during high season. Most of the off season visitors are there for several months from up north. No junky trash RVs seen. - alh
Jul 2016 - $89.00
We camped for 3 nights and paid $296.37. There was a mistake with our bill, which mgmt acknowledged, but refused to do anything about due to it being called to their attn after we checked out. The campground is clean, sites are a nice size, but I caution you from staying at this campground as they do not value their repeat customers. - wlmartin1004
Jul 2016 - $58.00
This is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed at. Immaculate grounds, courteous staff, and quiet.
They do not have cable and the Wi-Fi is not very fast and often at peak times almost impossible to get on at all. I have the Dish so no cable was not a problem.
The bath house is very clean and you have your own private room with toilet and shower. Very nice.
We stored our RV there over the winter and it was so easy. Just call make your reservation and when you get there your RV is on the site you reserved. They charge $15 each way to pull it and take it back. Storage lot is very secure. - dpgllg
Apr 2016 - $69.00
This is my favorite Campground ever! Sites are more than enough and are positioned so you are not looking at other campsites but the beautiful lake on the property. Showers/bathroom were very clean as well as the entire campground. Easy walk/bike paved trail around the lake and plenty to do for adults and children. Only 20 miles from Myrtle beach but they have their own beach on site, very quiet and relaxing. We plan on going back to this one next year. - Stu & Gerri
Jun 2016 - $73.00
Great location to the beach and pier. Cabana covered picnic area at each site. Very busy, very crowded, campers checking in and out at all hours. Peace and quiet are a premium. Golf carts are everywhere and lots of dogs. Close to shopping and tons of restaurants. - g peter
Jun 2015 - $69.00
Location can't be beat. Steps away from the beach and a great pier to enjoy in the evenings. We were packed in there but everyone around us was friendly. Cable, Wi-Fi (not free) and hookups were good. - buckingthenorm
Jun 2015 - $50.00
Very crowded park; especially, if you are next to a site that has a long 5th Wheel and 2 pick up trucks. People smoke everywhere. On the beach, in their campsite, in and around their pool. Just be ready to make adjustments if you are not a fan of cigarette smoke.
The campground itself is OK. Not sure if it was the wind or the mass amount of people but there was trash (plastic bottles, wrappers..etc) everywhere. - ETCTA
Jun 2016 - $10.00
Very nice park in North Myrtle Beach. Close to Barefoot Landing and the Mall. Lots were average size. The best part of this park was the pool, it was very nice and large. Get a site close to the pool, if possible. Located on the intercoastal waterway as well. We'll definitely be back. - Youngcop
May 2016 - $45.00
We were excited to stay here and expected a luxury park by the photos. We did get a Passport USA discount which was nice but the photos on their website showed sand dunes and made it sound like it was minutes to the beach. This is why we selected it.
Well yes maybe the way the crow flies but don't try walking unless you have an hour and are ok crossing eight lanes of highway traffic. We only had bikes and it was quite a chore. Plus it took 30+ minutes by bike carrying beach chairs etc. etc. Parking also may be difficult at busy times as the area is pretty built up.
We were very disappointed and felt they were providing false advertising but they did not agree in their curt letter to us. I did just notice that they have since taken the dunes photo down but they still say minutes to the beach. It looks that way on the map but not so in person.
Pool is nice on the inland waterway. Families may enjoy adjacent commercial area and restaurants. And their Pickleball is just setting up a checked out net on their marginal basketball court with no fencing. - Twoforjuans
May 2016 - $5.00
Spacious concrete sites and patio area with length for 42 footers and space between sites for slides. Grass surrounds each site with a picture picnic table. Roadways are paved and easy to navigate. A gated community provides ample security with well lit roadways at night. Park is well maintained by on site maintenance crew. Trash dumpsters available at one end of the park. Entertainment with large Olympic size pool that overlooks the inter-coastal waterway, a game room in the clubhouse, ping pong table, workout room, horseshoe pit, shuffle board area, play ground set for youngsters and a miniature golf course! Bathrooms and showers available. Storage area for dollies and trailers. Services are at end of site with easy access. Office staff is super friendly and will attempt to accommodate most requests. Easy access to Myrtle Beach shopping. - kihei7
Jul 2016 - $80.00
We stayed at Lakewood Campground for one week during July 2016. The campground is very nice and well maintained. There are plenty of things for children to do including the pools, waterslides, mini-golf, basketball, corn hole, horseshoes, and a playground. We really enjoyed our trip and would stay here again. - RVFamily3
Jul 2016 - $80.00
Too many golf carts. Fun place with a great water park but overcrowded. I think if we had stayed at a different time of year it would have been a lot more fun. Overall it is good but they could improve the golf cart problem with a little more enforcement of the rules. Road signs apply to golf carts; even the staff ran the stop signs. - tjwhite13
May 2016 - $70.00
We normally stay at another park but decided to change it up. Big mistake on our part. I'm not sure if it's just because of bike week or like this all the time but their own rules do not matter. The spots are nothing special, no concrete pads, the septic is in a concrete pad which is higher than the dirt you park making it hard to dump your tanks. One group of bikers had their BIG pit bull tied out on a logging chain and Lakewood's strict no alcohol policy is a joke. People have 24 packs sitting everywhere in the trash. The water area was nice but it was cold so we did not use it much. Trees in the way of everything no way to even put out our awning. - Mountaineer fan
Mar 2016 - $52.00
Can't wait to go back! So much to do and so much fun. The campers are close but we didn't go there to spend time at the camper, we went for the ocean. The location is awesome compared to the ocean. There are so many things to see and do that you wont spend a lot of time at the camper so the density of the park is not really an issue. If you want to be close to the beach this is the campground for you. - LoveCamping2000
Jan 2016 - $52.00
This was a very friendly place. Very clean and we'll maintained. The spot I stayed at had a patio over looking the water. There was plenty of room between camping spot you don't feel like you're on top of each other. They lead you to your spot so you're not going to get lost. The roads are wide so you have plenty of room to navigate. You are only four short blocks from the beach. And close to the start of the boardwalk. - Wmkbailey
Aug 2015 - $70.00
Very expensive, if you have children traveling with you, it would probably be a better value, as they have lots of activities for children. Camp was clean and well maintained. Very extensive staff. "ride to beach" is a cart that takes you 3 blocks and lets you out to walk the rest of the distance. The site we were given was hard to back into for our 38' fifth wheel. - Glendaj
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Other than not having a swimming pool, you can't beat MBSP as your home base while at the beach. Spacious sites, great location and plenty of room on the beach. Bathrooms were clean, but not as clean as we've seen in the past. Having said that, the park full and getting a lot of use. Maybe under those circumstances the staff should clean more than once a day. In the long run, still a lot better than the commercial campgrounds where you can literally pass things through the windows from one camper to another. - RLBradley
Jun 2016 - $32.00
Wonderful state park with a mile of beach. Room for our 40 ft rig although it was a challenging back-up between trees. The site was narrow and we couldn't put out our awning. Also, our picnic table was on the same side as our neighbors on the driver's side and they were there before us and had spread out so we had very little room outside. They also had unfriendly dogs out which limited our time outside with our puppy. Park was full and there were kids everywhere but everyone was very friendly! No satellite because of trees and limited cable reception. This state park actually has wifi but it is minimal. No sewer so we used bathhouse showers which were adequate. 50 amp service and water were good. Overall, a great value to find a park on the water in Myrtle Beach at this price. - Bunci
Apr 2016 - $35.00
We actually stayed in 2 different sites for a week each. The first spot was in #108 and it was extremely hard to get into as it was at a 90 degree angle with trees on each side of the entry. We had to ask 2 other campers to move their vehicles just to be able to get into the site. It was listed as 45' and our 5th wheel is 34' so we never dreamed it would be such a challenge to get into. It had also rained and was a muddy mess. We did not enjoy this spot at all. This was during spring break and there were kids everywhere on bikes making it even worse. The 2nd site was #208 and it was angled in and the ground had been built up so mud was not an issue. The beach is very close and the hiking trails were nice. All utilities worked well. My only caution would be to know what your site looks like before booking. We would stay here again, but definitely not during spring break or the summer just due to the number of kids running wild. There was also a lot of airplane noise as it is under the flight approach and there are helicopters constantly flying over with tours. - jacknpeg
Jul 2016 - $75.00
Our site was grass/sand located near the beach. Each site has a 10'x6' covered picnic area with a picnic table. Full hook ups but the sewer connection is not threaded and needs to be updated. The staff was very friendly. Very clean bath houses and conveniently located throughout the park. The pool and lazy river were very clean and well maintained. The Laundromat is dated and is in need of upgrades. Overall we were well pleased with this RV park. - BJackson
Jun 2016 - $75.00
Our site was about 150 feet from the sand dunes that lead to the Atlantic Ocean. There are plenty of beach access points so you don't have to walk too far. This is a HUGE RV Park, with more amenities than any other place we have camped as of yet. The park is located close to shopping, restaurants and all the tourist activities. It's a little hike down to the pier about a half mile. They also provide a canopy that covers the picnic table. - Bburgbrewer
Jun 2016 - $80.00
We stayed on the "front row" (closest the beach), so it was very nice and the ocean breeze was certainly nice. The site was grass/sand but level and all of them are pull through. Each site has a 10'x6' covered picnic area with a picnic bench underneath. Full hook ups but the sewer connection is not threaded so you just place your sewer line inside and place something on top of it to keep it in place (I used two of my levelling boards). With this being the coast, the wind can become strong at times especially during summer storms so please use caution with your awning. We kept ours rolled in most of the time. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. Cleanest bath houses I have seen. Cable worked well as did wifi. No additional charge for either. The pool appeared very clean and well maintained. It was complete with kiddie pool and lazy river. The laundromat was very nice. There are a couple of very casual eating places on site and there is PLENTY to do and places to eat in very close proximity to the campground. - Denver James
Jul 2016 - $84.00
This is a very large busy park. The beach access is the highlight of the park as its a few steps away. The park has many amenities, too many to list. The new waterpark is very nice and clean. The slides and lazy river keep kids busy. They really need 2-3 of these water parks to serve this campground as it is very full/busy. The beach was very nice and clean. The ice cream shop is a nice touch and convenient. Be aware that there is alot(understatement) of golf car activity all day and night here(till 11pm). Overall its a wonderful place to enjoy the beach and waterpark, but very busy(crowded) at times. - Harlee79
Jun 2016 - $65.00
Ocean Lakes has nice sites, especially the paved sites and the ones near the beach are very convenient when you want to spend time on the beach, we have stayed at this park a large number of times through the years but Will NEVER be back here, it is nothing but trailers and trailer park trash, they play loud music until 04:00 am and security does nothing about it. They have trailers and pitch 1 or 2 tents on the same site with the trailer and have several dogs tied outside all times, dozens of kids and dozens of people mostly 25 to 35 years old and the curse out loud, they are drunk almost all the time and they have 4 or 5 cars that they intrude on other sites with. This is a disgusting Trailer Park and not, NOT a quality RV Park like it used to be because Ocean Lakes has catered to the "Trailer Society" and this shows because they have a storage area for trailers across the highway from Ocean Lakes where thousands of trailers are stored for the people that has basically taken over Ocean Lakes. I truly regret that this quality RV Park has evolved in such a disgraceful manor because it used to be the RV Park that you compared all other to but not any more. - GA-RVers
Jun 2016 - $84.00
This park is very convenient to the beach. It has an RV store. It has snack bars with ice cream burgers & such. It has a new water park & pools. The pads are concrete & pull thru. They are very level. There is plenty of shopping nearby. I would like to try this park in the off season. When we were here the park was full & it wasn't even the busiest season. Most parks don't allow parking cars on the grass. Here it is a must. Most parks don't let you hang out beach towels etc. Here they are all over. Golf carts abound here. Bring your own or rent one of theirs. Sites can be reserved 18 months in advance. Lots of people, including us stayed at one site for a couple of nights & then had to move to another. Not fun. - Connie's Co-Owner
