The bad side: The campground is very run down. The office is generally locked, and nobody answers the phone. The swimming pool has not been cleaned or used in a long time. A sign at the office tells rates and provides envelopes and a slot to mark your site and leave your money. There are potholes in the roads, but they are not too bad. Check the electricity before you park and hook up--some sites don't work. The good side: The sites are level and grassy, and the grass was recently mowed in most areas. There were lots of open sites with easy pull-through access. Sites closest to the adjacent motels may be able to pick up wireless Internet (I did). Interstate access, an RV store, a truck stop, various restaurants, and a Super WalMart are all nearby. This is not a family campground, but for a couple who don't need a lot of campground services, it's fine, and the price is low. We camped at Camper's Paradise in a Motorhome.

Place is run down and uncared for. The laundry room looked to be good. No one around the place and no phone number to contact. Which is OK with us. However. It's easy to get in and out. We were in a motorhome with toad and had no problem with the pull through. Quiet place, within walking distance of a few restaurants and we had a good meal. The place has a few full timers in the back and the area was neat. The place needs lots of work, but it's a great stop off point and the utilities worked well. Verizon Air card works well in the area for high speed internet. Good satellite reception from our site even with the shade trees. This was probably once a very nice place and it's a shame to see it as it is. We will stay there again for a few days to break up the north south trips. A better sign at the office with "pick a site" would be nice. We camped at Camper's Paradise in a Motorhome.

The most mis-named campground I’ve ever seen, Camper’s Paradise is a former KOA, but the only way you can tell is by the shape of the outside of the building. Inside, the office floor is bare concrete and was partially under water when I was there. At least one large dog and three cats roamed around the dimly lit structure as I checked in, and the whole place ABSOLUTELY REEKED of cat urine. Water, power, and sewer was serviceable, and the grass pull-through sites were relatively level, but the grounds are dismal and poorly maintained. There are huge potholes everywhere in the park. The pool appears to have been abandoned for at least one full season, possibly more, as has the playground. Campground choices are exceptionally limited in central South Carolina. Although we love Manning, we will re-route our next trip to avoid staying at this campground again. We camped at Camper's Paradise in a Fifth Wheel.
