We camped here for about a month and hated to leave. Utilities were very good, WiFi was spotty with many users, and Verizon was very good. Short walk to the ocean was the definite highlight. The office accommodated our request to be close to family that were also camping there. We parked sideways in front of our trailer. We would stay here again. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

The staff gave us a spot that was far too small for a long bed truck and 43' fifth wheel. I know the staff is aware that it takes an act of God to even attempt to get large equipment in sites 700-708 and 717-730 because the nearby campers said someone else tried to get into the same spot with no luck right before us and he left. Those campsites are maneuverable for much smaller rigs (under 35'). So spare your camper and truck and ask for a different area. When I told the office person of this she completely ignored my complaint. Didn't care a bit and said, "Well it suits up to 45'." That kind of attitude and lack of caring is very disappointing. During our visit the circuits blew a few times so we lost power during the 90+ degree afternoon - that means no AC. Imagine if we had been out and our dog had to stay in that heat until we returned. Not good. My final gripe is that it's a hugely crowded place where you're packed in like sardines. There is no privacy so if you get less than pleasant neighbors let's say with an incessantly barking dog or screaming kids, drunk adults, you will hear it. The upside is, if you don't mind the overcrowding, there is a lot for kids to do right on the property. Food, pool, beach access, arcade, and planned activities. Offsite food and entertainment is within close driving distance. In the end, I think this is a good place for certain families, particularly if you don't mind being on top of each other, but I personally would not return or recommend it to my friends. I'd recommended staying somewhere else if you do not like being on top of your neighbor. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 2nd stay at MBTP, the first being about 10 years ago. Campground is well-maintained and staffed by friendly, courteous and efficient people. Sites for transient campers are close to each other but one needs to keep the popularity of this destination in mind. Bath facilities are extremely clean and in excellent condition. Pools and other amenities are excellent as well. We like the "cabanas" that are at each site as the constant ocean breeze usually precludes the use of your awning. Campground beach is very clean and spacious. We will definitely return. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Close camp sites. Narrow, sandy roads. Store, restaurant, gift shop, water park all closed. Shed over picnic tables nice, but long timers have closed them in with tarps or plastic. No control on how they look. Large campground. WIFI spotty. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Water, electricity, sewer and cable were all great. Park was not at all busy and beach was nice.Store was closed for the season and the indoor heated pool was not open at all while we were there. It would have been nice to know that prior to arrival.Bathouse was open and spotless as always. We always enjoy our stay here, this was our first time in the "off season". We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

We made reservations months ago but do to breaking down hurricane Matthew we were late they would not honor the reservation for six month stay asked for an end unit was told they don't reserve a particular site. When we got here they didn't have handicapped sites so asked for end site we were told they were reserved! But you said during reservation you didn't reserve?... They put us in the middle and later moved us a little closer but next to a chain smoker gave up. Will stay the month then move to a park with customer service. It's like a swamp even the outdoor rug is under water. They should invest and fill the worn lots. The store is closed for the season. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We made the reservation months in advance was not given the six month rate because of hurricane Matthew and breaking down. They should honor the six months so we'll stay just this month asked for a different site they had us next to a smoker ugh... The site we asked to be moved to was reserved yet when I called to make the reservation I was told they do reserve site So! Off to a bad start so we'll move to another park next month.

Our campsite was at the"ocean end" of the park, with a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. This time of years, leashed dogs are allowed on the beach.

The large pool is clean and refreshing. In the pool area is a cute zero-depth area, as well as a relaxing lazy river.

Each site has an 8x10 wooden shelter over the picnic table which long-term occupants make into a wind-break by affixing a grommeted tarp to three sides. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site was grass/sand located near the beach. Each site has a 10'x6' covered picnic area with a picnic table. Full hook ups but the sewer connection is not threaded and needs to be updated. The staff was very friendly. Very clean bath houses and conveniently located throughout the park. The pool and lazy river were very clean and well maintained. The Laundromat is dated and is in need of upgrades. Overall we were well pleased with this RV park. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Visited during busy summer months but got a spot next to the dunes leading to the ocean. The overall park is well kept with paved or hard packed gravel roads which are easy to navigate. There are a lot of dog walkers who don't clean up after there pets so watch where yo walk. Store is well stocked and the pool area looked like fun although we didn't partake. Would like to try this spot in the off season when its not so packed... We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Decided to stay here after researching the other RV parks in the area. Happy we did. Stayed with wife and 2 girls (8 and 13).

Check in was fast, easy, informative, and pleasant. Helpful people in the front area. Had an issue later that week with a lock out, and they were again very nice and helpful. Sent someone from maintenance to try and help us. Also used their Reservation service - again making things easier during our stay.

Site was a bit small - but all are at the beach. Bigger actually than I had presumed. We were 1 row off the lake at the end of the streets going to the beach. It was a great location. Not too far from the beach but with a view of the lake. Quite nice for having coffee in the morning. Roads generally packed dirt/sand but kept in good shape.

Nice beach area. Lots of activities at the campground, including at the pool. The girls (well all of us) really enjoyed it. Workers enthusiastic and outgoing. Nice pool area and lazy river. Really a great time/experience. Great family fun.

Power was perfect: constant voltage without fluctuation. Pet friendly for our dog. Pets allowed on the beach during certain hours. Close to Walmart and attractions. Easy to get around with the highway system.

Bathrooms were modern and clean. Although the campground was crowded, the bathrooms never were. Plenty of facilities.

Had a great time. Would absolutely stay here again. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We liked the sites that are not on the lake, but parallel to them (1 row past them). Reason: they are pull through, still a view of the lake, and direct walking to the shore (no walking around the end of the streets or through someone's site to get to the beach.

We stayed on the "front row" (closest the beach), so it was very nice and the ocean breeze was certainly nice. The site was grass/sand but level and all of them are pull through. Each site has a 10'x6' covered picnic area with a picnic bench underneath. Full hook ups but the sewer connection is not threaded so you just place your sewer line inside and place something on top of it to keep it in place (I used two of my levelling boards). With this being the coast, the wind can become strong at times especially during summer storms so please use caution with your awning. We kept ours rolled in most of the time. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. Cleanest bath houses I have seen. Cable worked well as did wifi. No additional charge for either. The pool appeared very clean and well maintained. It was complete with kiddie pool and lazy river. The laundromat was very nice. There are a couple of very casual eating places on site and there is PLENTY to do and places to eat in very close proximity to the campground. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our site was about 150 feet from the sand dunes that lead to the Atlantic Ocean. There are plenty of beach access points so you don't have to walk too far. This is a HUGE RV Park, with more amenities than any other place we have camped as of yet. The park is located close to shopping, restaurants and all the tourist activities. It's a little hike down to the pier about a half mile. They also provide a canopy that covers the picnic table. We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.
