This is a different kind of camp ground. The office is seldom open. They are accessible by phone. However, I had to make an extra effort to get a printed receipt, as I checked in by phone. The site we were placed in was not level. Site layout is a little weird. Our site was a pull in, but I had to back out. The site looks like a converted farm, so it is a nice setting. I would check out a different camping facility the next time I was in the Greenville area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the only RV park to stay in the Greenville area. It is basic, but clean, quiet and friendly. Been coming here for 10 years. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The campground is mostly full timers, however they have an area for the overnighters that is away from the lengthy stays. The area is dirt and some are hard to get level on. I stayed in 309 and back wheels were off the ground after parking on two 2x12s. Easy to get in and out of and would stay again if traveling through Greenville. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

It was a quiet RV park with no children in our area. Pad was okay, but rocks kind of large for my dogs' feet. There were no bathroom or shower facilities, no cable TV hookups, no stores, basically camping in the wilderness. However, they did have full hookups, which made it bearable. Lots of restaurants and shopping within 15 minutes of the park. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very convenient to Greenville area. Open, rural setting with about 10 sites for short stays. Roads and sites are dirt/gravel and sites not too level. There are no showers or bathrooms.

Management very pleasant and helpful. The wi-fi was best of any park I've ever stayed in.

I would stay here again for short over nights when visiting this area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small family run campground that is located a few miles from Greenville SC. Our pull through site was level with FHU's. The campground has a short hiking trail along a creek and a large open area for dogs. Most of the sites are taken up with long term residents. Campground is kept clean. Roads are gravel and will get dusty if it doesn't rain for a while. Campground is close to Greenville. There is shopping in Powdersville which is a few miles north of the campground. The Wifi in the park was slow but did work most of the time. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Several nice breweries in Greenville. Qwest Brewery has music most week-ends. Make sure to visit downtown Greenville which has been renovated over the last 15 years. Swamp Rabbit Trail is a great place to walk or bike in Greenville.

All info in this review is accurate and in no way an attempt to discredit the business. This is our experience and we have stayed a few times.

Making Reservation:

Called and spoke with owner's daughter. She did not have access to the reservation book, said she would call back and did not. I had to call back to confirm if we could get in. After talking with others over a combined 60 days this is common. They did not require a deposit or guarantee spaces.

Arrival:

Arrived during business hours, no one was at office. Called number and daughter said "drive straight and pick a spot". Most spots depending on location in spot are out of level beyond what our jacks could fix. Second from last pull-through space seemed to be the one that worked for us after trying one other.

Water, sewer and 50A worked.

Amenities:

The area at the back of the park with the few short term spots is gravel dust and potholes. Don't expect to leave with anything not covered in glitter gravel dust, especially if folks don't drive slow. You can walk for miles on trails of dirt in the woods or acres of grass in the field. Owner stated dogs were allowed off leash out in the large field only and only well behaved dogs that come when called. Several times we witnessed 2 permanent people on a green golf cart with small tan dogs attack other dogs including ours. who was on leash at all times. If you have dogs or small children you don't let them off leash in the field or even go in field; you may be attacked. Trash is picked up at road daily, the one onsite worker keeps things as nice as one could for such a large property. The Wi-Fi worked OK when park was not busy or when most were sleeping. We did use our Verizon MiFi on 4G if needed. No kids helped eliminate many of the regular issues when camping. Overall this is one of the few parks in the area and could be very nice if more work were put into gravel roads, level spaces, and getting rid of the very rude owners with the little attack dogs. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Most things are close. Greenville in general is a older city with dated infrastructure. SC has major potholes on most roads you will travel with a motorhome to I-85 and I-26 so be careful.

Downtown Greenville has been updated and has several higher end restaurants and arts shops.

The bell of the ball is the Falls and Downtown parks. You must go; you will not be disappointed.

For us, a wonderful find. Visited wife's relatives in the area for Thanksgiving and made a reservation as there aren't a whole lot of options in this part of the State. Glad I did as their park map indicates only 6 short term sites and they were all full for the time we were there.
Upon entering the park, the 'permanents' or long term units are the first thing you see and my heart sank a bit...then checked in and was lead up a hill to a wide open view of a lovely meadow, small pond and a scattering of rigs with 6 short term, pull through, full hookup sights. A lovely mix of hardwood forest on one side and the meadow/pond view with wide open sky on the other. Talked with some 'residents' out walking their dogs and they told me the park was a mix of permanents, seasonals, year long workers and then a few of 'us'....the short term visitors. Very friendly, welcoming and quiet. Entrance oad leading to the park is a bit tricky to find after dark...glad we arrived during daylight hours.
Long enough spot for my 40' fiver with 3 slides, plus truck, plus extra.
Highly recommend if you're visiting this area...be sure to ask for the short term sites on the 'hill'. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful setting, but the sites for short term stays are not great, small and a little out of level. Friendly owners, utilities worked fine, very quiet, easy access to I-85. Has great potential if owner would improve the short term sites. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

The rate is a "cash" rate. This is a very good over night location just off I-85. We stayed here previously for an "over night" but had the opportunity to go into Piedmont for dinner this time. The Saluda River Grill is in an updated and redesigned cotton warehouse by the Saluda River. The town also was a quaint little town to drive through. Our rv site is a gravel site but level, hook ups were very good, and although we were close to trees, we were able to get satellite tv. The owner has a fantastic pasture you can walk, a pond, and even nature trails down to the river. Its a rather unique spot to find. There are some long term residents, but all were tidy. This campground is a 50+ park. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is easy to find from the interstate. The interior roads are a little narrow. The entrance road is just wide enough for 2 RVs to pass, if necessary and is paved. The road then turns into a gravel road to the sites. We had a pull-through just wide enough for the rig. It was fairly level. We had no problems using jack pads. However, the picnic table was down a slight slope next to the site. It wasn't really a problem. The area is quiet and beautiful. There was a large open field which the dog loved. We stayed here a couple of days while visiting the area. We would stay here again. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is 45 and older, very quiet, terrific hiking paths through the woods and a LARGE area to run your dogs way away from anyone. The pull-through that we had was somewhat unlevel but not a problem. They used to be level and the owner is going to level them up again. Easy access to main roads. Very faint highway noise in the distance but not an issue. No bathrooms or showers. Very helpful owner and help staff. They pick up your trash twice a day and make huge ready-to-light fires....all we had to do was bring our matches. We stayed four nights and would stay here again. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects Good Sam rate. We had a pull through up on a hill with a beautiful, peaceful view of a meadow and small pond. The grounds alone I would rate 10. There are hiking trails through the woods that go to a river or stroll the pasture. Grounds are well kept. The rating is lower simply because the park lacks facilities. This is a self contained park. Our site was level but it appears some may not be. The owner will work with you to find the site that fits your needs. Utilities worked well. We could not get satellite due to the trees, but the local channels were fine. Verizon MiFi was maxed out. It appears there are seasonal campers, but all were very neat. This is also a Seniors RV park. We would use this again if in the area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.
