I enjoyed this campground mostly for really feeling like you were camping, not packed in on top of each other. No amenities, but we did not need or want any. Full hookups. Quiet. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the nicest campground we have stayed. We were there a week and enjoyed every moment. The purpose of our stay was to research potential living areas in the Anderson/Greenville vicinity, and Ivy Acres is centrally located. We had an internal electrical problem in our travel trailer and the owners of Ivy Acres were nice enough to loan us a heavy duty electrical cord to help us through our electrical dilemma. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

It should be noted that this is a 45 year plus park, and there is no bathroom or shower facilities provided. The campground is a country farm setting. The sites are gravel, the hookups worked fine. The WiFi is spotty. This is a very quiet park, with walking trails around the large property. It actually is a very nice place for visiting Greenville with easy access, even though it really doesn't appear like it on arriving. Several food places and services a short distance north in Powdersville. Don't waste your time in Piedmont, not much there. The park itself is kept well maintained even though you seldom see staff after checkin, which is not a bad thing. We would stay here again while in this area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a very misplaced Texas food chain, Kolache Factory, in Powdersville. We like kolaches so that was a pleasant treat.

Pull-thru sites are mostly level with packed gravel. Paved road for the first portion and gravel to the short timers pull-thru sites. Utilities were up to spec, conveniently located and wifi worked fine. All the sites I saw were full hookup, but no other amenities except for the openness, trails and fishing ponds. It's more the atmosphere of a farm than a campground. A Word of WARNING...Watch for and turn before the white on burgundy Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park sign on the left (going towards Piedmont). You will turn off a hilly 2-lane road with no shoulders and comes up fast. Traffic goes much too fast for this road and hills hide road intersections. It is on our return list. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

There is nothing I love more than a well-maintained park on beautiful acreage. If you are long, this park can handle you. We are 45' and tow and they can accommodate. I was even able to park behind my coach and not beside it. Their website does not do this park justice. 77 acres of rolling hills with mowed green grass and trees. The owner has created walking trails to the pond and river that are on his property for you to enjoy and we did everyday. Plenty of room for your well-mannered dog to run. Although it poured over 1 inch one of the days we were there our gravel site drained well and what I thought would be a big muddy mess - wasn't. There are long term renters in another (also well maintained) section. The price noted is for a weeks stay with the senior discount. Easy access to I-85 and Greenville or surrounding area. I suggest reservations because rarely was there an empty site the week I was there. Owners are fabulous and work hard and it shows. They even pick up trash at your site twice daily. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park was clean and has some long term residents, but about a dozen pull through sites for short stays that were separate from the residents. Water pressure was great, as was the tv antenna reception. Sites were long enough for large rigs. Lots of walking trails and a lake a few hundred yards away from the rv sites with fishing - and owner encourages it's use. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for several weeks while in the Greenville SC area. Park is clean and is a very quiet setting, no amenities to speak of. WiFi is OK, depending on how many folks are using it. Nicest RV park in the area we've been to. Pull-thru sites are fairly level, packed gravel. Paved road for main loop and to the office. Gravel road to pull-thru sites. Garbage pick up twice a day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Previous comment about office being open is valid, in person first time, e-mail after. Will stay here again when we are in the area. This is a different kind of camp ground. The office is seldom open. They are accessible by phone. However, I had to make an extra effort to get a printed receipt, as I checked in by phone. The site we were placed in was not level. Site layout is a little weird. Our site was a pull in, but I had to back out. The site looks like a converted farm, so it is a nice setting. I would check out a different camping facility the next time I was in the Greenville area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

It was a quiet RV park with no children in our area. Pad was okay, but rocks kind of large for my dogs' feet. There were no bathroom or shower facilities, no cable TV hookups, no stores, basically camping in the wilderness. However, they did have full hookups, which made it bearable. Lots of restaurants and shopping within 15 minutes of the park. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is mostly full timers, however they have an area for the overnighters that is away from the lengthy stays. The area is dirt and some are hard to get level on. I stayed in 309 and back wheels were off the ground after parking on two 2x12s. Easy to get in and out of and would stay again if traveling through Greenville. Very convenient to Greenville area. Open, rural setting with about 10 sites for short stays. Roads and sites are dirt/gravel and sites not too level. There are no showers or bathrooms.

Management very pleasant and helpful. The wi-fi was best of any park I've ever stayed in.

I would stay here again for short over nights when visiting this area. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've been travelling in our Class A motor home for close to 8 years, visiting Texas, California, Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and everywhere in between! Ivy Acres RV Park is the absolute BEST we've visited thus far. If there are any parks that are better, I can't wait to visit them!

The grounds are immaculately clean, maintained by obviously dedicated and hard-working folks that are polite, friendly, and ready to make your visit as pleasant and memorable as possible. Wooded areas, well manicured fields, and gently rolling wide open spaces with ponds, offer relaxing evenings and breathtaking sunrises.

Strategically placed swings and chairs under LARGE trees offered ideal vantage points for watching the squirrels and birds. A fishing pond is available on the grounds, as are walking trails through the woods and along the riverbank.

Easy access to the park from either north or south bound I-85 is a huge plus. Rates are extremely fair, which means they fill up quickly! Best advice........make reservations early so you won't be disappointed. You won't regret your visit at Ivy Acres! We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small family run campground that is located a few miles from Greenville SC. Our pull through site was level with FHU's. The campground has a short hiking trail along a creek and a large open area for dogs. Most of the sites are taken up with long term residents. Campground is kept clean. Roads are gravel and will get dusty if it doesn't rain for a while. Campground is close to Greenville. There is shopping in Powdersville which is a few miles north of the campground. The Wifi in the park was slow but did work most of the time. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Several nice breweries in Greenville. Qwest Brewery has music most week-ends. Make sure to visit downtown Greenville which has been renovated over the last 15 years. Swamp Rabbit Trail is a great place to walk or bike in Greenville.

All info in this review is accurate and in no way an attempt to discredit the business. This is our experience and we have stayed a few times.

Making Reservation:

Called and spoke with owner's daughter. She did not have access to the reservation book, said she would call back and did not. I had to call back to confirm if we could get in. After talking with others over a combined 60 days this is common. They did not require a deposit or guarantee spaces.

Arrival:

Arrived during business hours, no one was at office. Called number and daughter said "drive straight and pick a spot". Most spots depending on location in spot are out of level beyond what our jacks could fix. Second from last pull-through space seemed to be the one that worked for us after trying one other.

Water, sewer and 50A worked.

Amenities:

The area at the back of the park with the few short term spots is gravel dust and potholes. Don't expect to leave with anything not covered in glitter gravel dust, especially if folks don't drive slow. You can walk for miles on trails of dirt in the woods or acres of grass in the field. Owner stated dogs were allowed off leash out in the large field only and only well behaved dogs that come when called. Several times we witnessed 2 permanent people on a green golf cart with small tan dogs attack other dogs including ours. who was on leash at all times. If you have dogs or small children you don't let them off leash in the field or even go in field; you may be attacked. Trash is picked up at road daily, the one onsite worker keeps things as nice as one could for such a large property. The Wi-Fi worked OK when park was not busy or when most were sleeping. We did use our Verizon MiFi on 4G if needed. No kids helped eliminate many of the regular issues when camping. Overall this is one of the few parks in the area and could be very nice if more work were put into gravel roads, level spaces, and getting rid of the very rude owners with the little attack dogs. We camped at Ivy Acres Lodge and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Most things are close. Greenville in general is a older city with dated infrastructure. SC has major potholes on most roads you will travel with a motorhome to I-85 and I-26 so be careful.

Downtown Greenville has been updated and has several higher end restaurants and arts shops.

The bell of the ball is the Falls and Downtown parks. You must go; you will not be disappointed.
