1 Park near Ridgeville, South Carolina
Jan 2016 - $15.00
Stayed 3 days. Campground host, was very nice & accommodating. All dirt roads with potholes. Sites are packed dirt which on rainy days would be very messy. Very overgrown trees & shrubs at sites. Only E&W (30 amp). Walked through tent & cabin areas which looked very nice. Bathroom & showers were kept clean. Area to dispose of trash is a long distance away from sites. Personally would not camp here again. - rvgirl54

We arrived after work on Friday and were greeted by a very nice ranger who checked us in quickly. We had no troubles finding the site or hooking up. Everything was great about the campground, there were no 'frills' but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. In fact, it was very quiet with spacious sites.
The state park is beautiful with opportunities to hike or walk the 1.5 mile trail.
The trash is out by the park exit but if leaving the park or going for a walk it isn't too bad.
Restrooms were well kept, we saw people in there 2x a day cleaning. There is only one restroom/shower house in the campground, we had the farthest site but it was only 0.22 mile round trip.
The park office has board games for campers to borrow but there hours are limited (11-12am and 4-5pm) so you have to plan to get in there.
For a family with 2 young children it was perfect as the kids could ride their bikes and there were hardly any cars. - MVP
Dec 2013 - $15.00
We stayed here at the end of the year and rang in 2014 here. It was a quiet, smaller park with large sites and trees and foilage between sites allowing privacy. Our site was long and wide. The bathrooms were always clean whenever I used them. Good hot showers and heated bathroom. We used this campground as a base for touring nearby Charleston which was about a 45 minute drive. The price was very good and will stay here again when we come back to tour Charleston again. - alnal90
