Very nice campground in a county park. You have a choice of being in the woods or out in the open. There are very few trees in the open area but you have great views of the lake. Day use area shuts down at sundown and the gate is closed (with combo). We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Travel Trailer.

We are here now and find this to be a beautiful park. We have not encountered any unsavory characters as another camper stated. In fact, everyone seems very friendly. Most have nice RVs. Some sites are not level and we did need to change sites, which was handled courteously and quickly. Most of the sites are large and have shade. The sites closer to the lake are more open. We can't think of anything to complain about. The roads are gravel and the sites are gravel. Picnic tables, fire rings and full hook ups. We would definitely come back to this park. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Girls on check in had no idea which side hook up was for sites, and almost messed us up to send in wrong way. Pull, through sites are all horribly unlevel, except #21, which is in very congested area down below. Our site, #31 was extremely unlevel, and so close to the park road that the picnic table and fire ring was placed on the opposite side. Probably one of the worst sites in the park. Otherwise, if you know the park, and select your site carefully, this is a good park with all full hookups. Bath house very clean. Nice boat launch area. Price is going up as of next month. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here a few times. I travel to Charlotte periodically for business and bring the family to make a camping trip out of it. It's always been a fairly clean park but more recently it seems to be on a decline. It appears to have started to attract some sketchy people. When we first got there the fire pit was full of trash - bottles plastic containers etc. When we complained at the office they literally just shrugged their shoulders. The other bothersome thing is that a section of it seems to be a homeless tent city. I am not exaggerating, it's really obvious. I've camped a lot and know the difference between camping and homeless tent living groups. I won't look down on my nose at anyone who is homeless but drugs are another thing. On our last day there, several police were on sites examining these tent camps and actually taking several people away and clearing them out. Maybe it's hard to control I am not sure but it made us feel uncomfortable. It also seems to be a magnet for these types on the parking lot by the water during the weekend. All in all the last stay was enough for us to look elsewhere the next time. I have a kid and there are enough campgrounds around to avoid putting them in the middle of illegal activities in a tent city. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.

Great campground for the 3 day weekend we were there, on a beautiful lakefront county park. Site was gravel, fairly level, plenty of shade on the sites on the opposite of the road from the water - a consideration in the summer. Full hookups. We were on spot 71 across from the bath house park and the WiFi was very strong. It is very clean, well run, very friendly staff. Very convenient to Charlotte. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Travel Trailer.

Delightful overnight stop at a beautiful lakefront county park. Site was gravel, fairly level, but in the sun - a consideration in the summer. Full service with WiFi. Park is very clean, well run, very friendly staff. Opt for a site with a view of the lake. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.

Really nice campground near Rock Hill and Ft Mill. Our site had a great view of the water, overlooking the picnic pavilion, play areas, boat docks, etc., but from a far distance. There was 1 tree. Other sites had a few more trees, and the other side was heavily wooded. Sites 23 and 25 are the best, as they view the lake nicely. All are spacious. All in all, a great location! We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It's a bit of a drive to civilization, but you're so close to Ft Mill and Rock Hill. The new Rock Hill development, Riverwalk, will have tons of restaurants, etc. Ft Mill's Baxter Village is fun place to peruse, too.

Camped at this York County Park, on the shores of Lake Wylie near Rock Hill, SC in late February. The Sites were well spaced, and very well priced with full hookup (water, electric, sewage) and even internet. Park Ranger was able to accommodate a move to a new site when 30+mph winds worked against us. Staff was friendly, efficient and professional. The restrooms were clean and heated and convenient trash bins with small solar night light and daily pickup completed the picture. Run like a good private campground but with the open space, boat dock and launch of a public park. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ebenezer State Park is a terrific campground. The price for out of state residents is only $28 a night and they have some beautiful waterfront sites. In addition they have excellent boat access, free wifi, and the TV signal through antenna is very good for the major networks. WE stayed for six weeks and although their rule is you have to move every two weeks, we enjoyed all of the sites we stayed in. They do book fast however, so reserving in advance on the web or over the phone is a good idea. Off season there was plenty of spaces but they are pretty crowded in season and do require a day off property every two weeks to give other campers a chance. About half their sites are first come first serve and the others are reserveable, but once you get used to the system staying for an extended period is not a problem. They have many 50 amp sites and the water is from the city and tastes as good as bottled. Overall we were very very happy staying here and I give it my highest recommendation. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a county park that is well maintained and on a lake. It doesn't have amenities other than boating. The sites are good. Many have shade. We didn't have much trouble leveling. They take reservations now on line which is a plus, instead of first come, first serve. We would stay here again. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites need a lot of work leveling. One Motor homes front wheels were totally off the ground. We went to two different sites to find one we could get close to level in without raising the back wheels off the ground. Many sites on the small size that would only accommodate a rigs less than 28'. Upper area from the lake on the left side would be hard for a big rig to get into steep entry road and trees. TV reception at best fair to poor with 4 stations. Ranger came around to collect and when asked about the increase in camping fees was surprised that I knew they had doubled the senior price. Overall too much traffic in the park both vehicle speeding and golf carts(carts without any lights after dark). Several sites looked like they were there permanently. Will not make this a stop over in the future at present price with sites so unlevel. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.

Been staying here for years, A great campground right on Lake Wylie! Sites are first come first served. Gravel sites, 50 amp, sewer, water and strong Internet (free). Beautiful park with lots of covered areas and tables, huge boat ramp and swim area.! Helpful rangers and friendly campers. Great experience! The rate just went from $10.00 to $26.00 for seniors, so we will not be staying here unless they sign up with Passport America. We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.

Amazing gem of a campground right on Lake Wylie! Campsites are first come first served but for the time of year we were here, it wasn't a problem. Gravel sites, 50 amp, sewer, water and strong Internet (free). Beautiful park with lots of covered areas and tables, huge boat ramp and swim area. Friends who lived here for 20+ years didn't know about it! Helpful rangers and friendly campers. Great experience! We camped at Ebenezer Park in a Motorhome.
