Convenient stopover park from I-26 (about 2.5 miles). A good bit farther from I-85 (about 15 miles). Older section is treed with some sites not so level. Newer section has pull throughs and back ins with nice level concrete pads and open to the satellites. Utilities worked well and were in the right place. Adequate WIFI with our signal amplifier. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The owners bought this park four years ago and are diligent about keeping it up and providing lots of attention and services for guests. The sites each have a picnic table and fire ring. The sites are a bit close together with Class A and Class C units intermingled. But the park is very peaceful and quiet. There were some snowbirds and other long term residents. Recreation for kids includes a pool, play area, blow-up bounce pad (supervised by the owners) and a small fishing pond. The laundry room was clean and well-equipped with four washers and four dryers ($1.50 each). The restrooms were also very clean. The women's room had four toilet stalls and two shower stalls. Water in the showers was warm enough but I couldn't get it hot. The shower stall configuration is rather odd in that the individual shower/dressing room areas are next to each other so it would be necessary to walk through the dressing area of the neighboring shower in order to exit the bathroom. If someone were using that shower/dressing area you would be obliged to wait until they were finished before you could exit. We found this again on our trip in a state park in Georgia. Beyond that quirky situation, we loved this park and the owners! We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a overnight stop....staff was very helpful, guided us to our site #33 a pull thru and we didn't have to disconnect the toad...utilities all worked ok, had 50 amp service, water and sewer....site was level and long enough for 36' mh with toad...didn't use bathhouse so I cannot comment on them...not alot of shade and the exit road could be tight if it was a full campground but it's manageable...would stay here again if visiting or passing thru the area.... We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Mostly excellent mid-size park outside of Spartanburg. The park is a sharp 90 degree turn onto a hard-to-see and rough (paved) road. If you don't have GPS, you will probably miss the turn. Hint: they should put up a bigger sign. Sharp descent and ascent to get into the campground but I don't believe we dragged anything on our 39' coach. I doubt two vehicles could pass each other on some sections of the short entry road. Interior roads are narrow but navigable. Owners are very nice and escorted us to our pull through site which was paved and level. Most sites are open for satellite access. Sites are close together so you will hear your neighbors clearly if they are outside. The WiFi is the biggest black eye - it works OK occasionally but generally was very slow or non-functional. Surprising considering the campground was not particularly full when we were there. The campground is clean and well-maintained. Very quiet too, with it being outside of town. Nothing right by the campground but all kinds of shopping 10 minutes away. Considering the price, I think I can overlook the WiFi (AT&T and Verizon are solid here). I would stay here again. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

My husband and I just purchased our first travel trailer and visited Pine Ridge on our very first trip. The owners were super friendly and helpful!

Grounds were beautiful: our dogs had a blast and my husband enjoyed fishing daily. The site we were on was fairly close to neighboring units but the space was not unreasonable. The little decks at each site were cool!

I have already recommended Pine Ridge to family members, and we will definitely be back! We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this little gem for 4 nights. Very clean and quiet park. Our site was level. The wifi was pretty good except during peak hours. We really enjoyed our stayed here. They have a nice pool and small playground. When we were preparing to leave, we had a problem retracting our leveler. The young man in the office came with tools and crawled under our RV.He spent over an hour helping us. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

A very friendly family making a go of owning and operating the campground. They bought it 4 years ago. They've put their heart and soul into making it a better, fun family campground. At the same time they have left space for overnighters like us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A little tough to find. Off I-26, take exit 28, US-221 north, but go past the sign pointing to the campground. Instead, continue up to and turn right on US-215, then right on Otts Shoals Road (you'll pass the elementary school on the right) to Pineridge Campground Road on your left. It has a good sign which reflects very nicely after dark. Road is steep down then steep climb to campground office. Campground roads are narrow asphalt. Campground has a pool, sells propane, no store. Sites are asphalt, full hookup/30/50 and pull-throughs are long but narrow and close to the neighbors with all utilities at the back. Sites are close together. Only some have concrete patios, fire rings, and picnic tables. The wife and I are heavy into recycling and this campground recycles everything. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

You are more than welcome to take whichever route you wish, however, we have signs on the easiest route. Otts Shoals rd. is being resurfaced this coming week, and will soon be wider and smoother. We do have a very limited store with some camping supplies, drinks, and ice cream. We are 15 min. or less from Camping World, Walmart, Foodlion, etc. There is no point in keeping things to just end up throwing it away. We have a variety of sites. Sunny, shady, gravel, asphalt, and concrete. All have a fire pit and picnic tables. Thanks for taking the time to make a review.

The road out front was under construction so that made for some difficulty but the owner was kind enough to call and let us know the best way to get in. Yes the road in is a little steep, but nothing I haven't seen before. Owners were very friendly and were happy to share things to do in the area. We used the pool a couple of times; 8 ft. which was something you don't see often which I really liked. The restrooms were clean and showers were large. We stayed for a week in a fifth wheel and spent one more night on our way back through from Charleston; would definitely stay here again if in the area. Do not follow a Garmin GPS coming from I-26. It will lead you to a 135 degree turn which only an auto can make. Follow the owner's instructions for a much easier and shorter arrival. Owner's have contacted Garmin but their software has not changed.

Rating given reflects the poor condition of the entrance and interior roads, and the steep incline to get in and out of the park. Lots of permanent residents. Employees were very nice, the site itself had a concrete pad but spotty grass and a lot of surrounding red clay soil. We left a day early without asking for a refund due to expected rain and the fear of mud from all the exposed soil along the narrow roads. We would not stay here again. Pine Ridge Campground, owner at Pine Ridge Campground responded to this review

We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We have owned the park for a little over 3 years now. We have spent over five figures in road repairs since taking over. We are aware that there is still work to be done and make improvements whenever we can. We are in the "foothills" of the Appalachian Mountains and inclines are just a natural feature that I'm sorry to say I can't do much about.

We do have about 60% of our park rented to monthly customers. We have quite a few building the new carbon fiber plant 5 min. away. Some are relocating to the area and are in search of a house. We have traveling nurses, a CEO of a local manufacturing plant, and students at the local chiropractic school. If we relied only on "campers" we would be out of business.

You choose to camp verses staying in a motel, so have these people. We live on site and want a safe place. My saying is I can't always control who comes here, but I can control how long they stay.

I don't know which site you stayed in but we are planning to redo some of our pull through sites this coming winter. Keeping grass on a campsite is a challenge. Between the dogs, kids, carpets, bikes, corn hole boards … I could go on forever, I'm surprised at what does survive vs.
what doesn't.

With all that being said, I hope that in a year or two you will give us another chance. We are making improvements to the park continuously. Remind us that you left a day early and we will gladly give you a day free, and thanks for taking the time to make a review.

Stayed 2 weeks due to massive floods in Charleston, SC. Owners went out of there way to accommodate us to stay extra days. Site was gravel, but level, massive amount of rain but site drained well. Park has a pond and lots of trees. Owners and son are great. They have some permanents, but the sites are well maintained. It is very quiet and the people are great. Highly recommend.
