We didn't have as much time as we would have liked to stay at this campground. We arrived late at the gate and were let in to check in at the main desk. Our reservation was lost and while I was not happy they were extremely gracious to help me find a suitable spot for our RV. The location is on the water and beautiful. There is a dump station nearby. Check in before the gates close at 5pm. - Sean_Michelle

Great campground, right on the shore of Lake Moultrie. Roomy sites, some on the shoreline. Shoreline sites are on concrete pads; remaining sites are dirt. Could be a problem during heavy rain. Sites were level and maintained. Our site had a picnic table and a fire ring. Small shopette. LP and firewood sold. Boat rentals. Cabins available for rent, similar to KOA cabins. Bathrooms were cleaned and stocked each day during the week. We stayed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday so we can't comment on how things work on the weekends. We enjoyed our three-day stay, and we'll definitely stay here again. - tomnorman457

The campground could use some updating, sewer and cable. A little more policing of camper sites. A lot of excessive gear cluttering sites. Good spot for a short stay. - Rcstpugs

Outstanding park with three boat landings, several docks for fishing, lots of trees, family oriented area great for fishing and relaxing. Staff and personnel at the site are always willing to help. Highly recommended for a stay on Lake Moultrie. Cable, phone, modem etc. available for more permanent stays only. There are no bath facilities or designated swimming areas. All campers in the site are larger with their own facilities. - luvour5er

We are full-time RV'ers and travel for work. The main reason for this rating is we arrived around 8:30 pm, after dark, to find the entrance impossible to see due to lack of lights and the addition of crushed asphalt. This campground is in the country and turning around is not an option. Once we got in the campground, we found no maps or instructions for late arrivals. The phone numbers posted on the door were useless as there was no cell coverage. No campground personnel were to be found. We stumbled around the park in the car to try and find a site we could fit in, not easy again due to the black crushed asphalt and poor lighting. When we checked in the next morning, the staff was rather gruff and unhelpful. Did not use the bath facilities, but they appear to be new. It is a quiet and peaceful setting with docks that you can fish from or enjoy the water. The crushed asphalt tracks terribly and they have a resident Canadian Goose who has injured wings that will drive you a little nuts. Would not stay here again. - full-time jane

This is mainly a permanent residence park. There are good sites on the 1st two rows of the lake with views. There were lots of people on golf cars and kids out late at night. People wandering through our campsite too. Site was grass and pretty level. - twotimes

This place has really gone downhill in the past three years. We were there for four days/three nights and the restrooms were NEVER serviced during our entire stay...when we politely suggested to the day-shift clerk at the campground store that the bathrooms needed paper and a wipe down, we were promptly told, "That ain't my job!". Lakefront views are amazing and pull throughs were convenient. Amenities included kid-friendly playground, community center, laundry, somewhat over-priced convenience store and boat launches. Some of the best fishing in South Carolina. - up&atom

We stayed as Passport America members. This is a very rural camp that is used mainly by people fishing in Lake Marion. Very nice sites overlooking the lake. Yes, there was a fish smell at the end of the day when everyone was cleaning their catches. One should be aware of that when coming here. Since it was off season, most went home on Sunday and we were almost by ourselves for the rest of the week. Lots of interesting history nearby. Very quiet - would stay again if in the area. - PugetSound
