Easy overnight right off 95. All sites pull through. Several seasonals in disrepair. Quiet. Drinkable water. Clean bathrooms. Pool just redone. Mini golf unusable. Picnic table worn. Nature trail to lake, park asks you to not feed the gators. Not much to do but I'd stay there again. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Travel Trailer.

We used one of our free camp days as a perk from Lazydays when we purchased our Class A Winnebago this past April. This was for a one night stopover on our way down to Florida. Sites were not graveled or paved or at least none that we saw and our site was terrible. There was what may have been very old ground cover that was crumpled up and covered in wet muddy sand! The cover panel to electric box was hanging by one hinge. The switches inside were loose but they worked. Bath house was clean but old. No handicap facilities! Shame on them! Even worse--only one floor fan sitting up on a stand so it was hot and humid. Definitely would not consider to stay for any longer than an overnighter. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

As a TT member, no cost. Last time we visited the town roads coming in were terrible. We're very happy to report that they been fixed and are now excellent. This remains a rustic campground and as such one must use care driving a 40 motorhome around the park. Most sites are pull-thru full hookup with 50 amp & cable. Although the park is heavily treed, somehow we managed getting satellite TV every visit. Verizon Jet-Pack was 2 bars/4G, but phone was 2 bars/3G. This may not be our favorite TT park but we're sure glad it is. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful forested park. We stayed in #55, a pull through with a well graveled pad. It rained daily during our stay and water did pool in areas but not a concern. The pool and laundry facilities were well maintained. Our site was long enough for our 37 FT motor home and car. Some sites are closer than others, we were close on our drivers side but lots of space on the passenger side. We visited Beaufort and St Helena Island, about a 40 min. drive away. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

This rustic facility is dated and needs "sprucing up". Not much grass, lots of muddy spots left over after a rain, tree roots encroaching into patio area of sites, fallen tree branches & debris litter the sites. During our 5 day stay, we never saw any maintenance personnel on the grounds. The office staff was very nice & on top of the registration process. Although we had a pull through site, I needed to back out of the site due to 3 trees situated across from and on either side of the site exit that made pulling straight out impossible. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here a week using our Thousand Trails membership. Easy check-in and friendly staff but campground needs a lot of TLC. Way too many trees, tight fit at sites and had to watch out for slides having enough space. A lot of full time campers here, some sites are really junky. It would be nice if the campground had a separate area for full time and occasional campers. Roads are narrow and need gravel. At least all campsites are pull-thru, full service with 50/30 amp service and cable. Doubt if we will stay here again. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Better than having to dry dock on a crowded street. Spots very close, but did have all the necessities- cable TV even had 5 or 6 stations. Spots are dirt and not even close to being level. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

We are Thousand Trails members so the cost of this stay is included in our annual membership fee. Even at no out of pocket money we feel cheated.

As other posters have stated, it is a quagmire with deep muddy ruts everywhere. Trees will attack your rooftop antennae, vents, and a/c units. Forget about satellite TV or solar, you are in the forest.

Thousand Trails should never book a large RV in this park. We will never stay here again. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Almost cancelled our reservation after reading some reviews - Glad we didn't. This is not a resort, it is a older, mature campground and as that is a good value. Campground is basically level, sites are long, very quiet even on a holiday weekend. We couldn't connect to our Dish, but cable works fine, no charge for this. Roads have been improved and pool looks very inviting. We spent 4 nights in this park and visited surrounding areas. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Worst Campground I have ever been in and I have been in a lot. Roads are being worked on so access is limited and sites are full of mud, ruts and water. After circling around found one site I was not afraid to pull into, the 50 amp plug socket cover missing cable hookup had connector missing. I know I should have just left but did not want to haggle for my money back. Can you believe there is a$4.00 resort fee? We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

I am a TT member. This is a free stay for us. It is totally unacceptable. The staff is not very pleasant. Very indifferent. The roads through out the park are full of Deep Muddy holes filled with water. Almost every campsite is wet with horrible stinky leaves and Deep mud. I strongly suggest you stay elsewhere. We will never return. And to us it is free. TT should be ashamed. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

County Road leading in has Huge potholes & campground too, no way to miss them. I was parked in muddy area. Had to carry my little dogs to woods so not get muddy. Then rained overnight so worse. Walked in water to get in car. Shoes soaked. Huge Puddles all around coach. Then 1 jack got stuck in mud & had to pry it up. Think campground Needs gravel to improve roads & sites. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Park roads are not maintained and are gravel/dirt with large potholes (even 15' x 12' foot in size). After a rain the roads and sites are so deep in mud that even walking outside the rig is not possible. Motorhome wheels filthy. Cable available with extra cost. WiFi available in the office but not at site. Would not recommend the park to non-members of TT and only for an overnight even for TT members. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Conveniently located to many attractions but part of the lowland so when it rains the roads and sites are very muddy. Many places were closed due to water in the site. All sites are a pull through which is a plus. Surface roads in the park need gravel and paving. People in the office were very helpful. Used as a base and travel out from there. Not a place I would sit outside as the bugs are bad. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Fifth Wheel.

Quiet and clean park. However, the chuckholes are impossible on the park's road in and also on the county road to get there. They are very deep. I would rank it higher if not for that as they cannot be held accountable for the lakes forming around the trailers from all the rain. There is 50 amp and cable and all sites are pull thru. Park is not full so it was easy to extend our stay. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

On Friday a man comes in and brings BBQ you can buy. It was very good. This is close to Savannah (about 30 minutes) and is about 1-1/2 hours from Charleston. Next time I would look for a place closer to Charleston.
