A nice state park with big sites and plenty of shad. Plenty of room between sites and easy to get in. Bathroom facilities were good. Good walking trails near the river. We also paid the additional $6 entrance fee to the park. Near shopping areas. We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

We also had to pay an entrance fee of $6 which made our camping cost us $22. The staff was excellent and helped us with every question we had. The park is close to shopping. There are only electric hookups here; the new 50 Amp service is spot on. Our dish antenna couldn't get a signal through the thick tree coverage. The mosquitos were really bad so bring lots of repellent. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Paths were good for a power wheelchair but it might have been a little rough for a manual chair. The showers were good for wheelchair access. I don't know if 50 amp was available or not but it wasn't at our site we had 20 and 30 amp service But I am only set up for up to 30 amp anyways so it didn't matter. The price was $14 for the night if you have a state park sticker at $23 but we didn't have one and where not sure if we would be back in SD again this year so we got the $5 one day pass. The area was nicely kept clean and lots of trees where you couldn't see your neighbor at some sites and others you could see your neighbor which was nice if you like a little privacy. The pick nick table at our site was great for wheelchairs as the table extended past the seat by about 2 to 3 feet. I would stay here again even though it was only electric. We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Very clean and quiet SD State park, with several cabins to rent also. Right on the Big Sioux river for fishing; has several paved bicycle paths. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Big Sioux Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.
