This is a good location for exploring the area when Custer State Park is full. We paid for 4 nights and got the 5th free, which brought our rate to 22. Sites are gravel (level!) pull throughs with grass, trees, fire ring and picnic table. No closer together than any other park. The bathroom/shower and laundry were very clean. Access is a little confusing. Continue past the store/bar down the gravel road to get to the park. We camped at Heritage Village Campground in a Travel Trailer.

we love staying here and are sad to see they are discontinuing the monthly rates. put in wifi this year but only available in the Laundromat. easy access to points of interest and the mickelson trail. most of the rvers there are working at crazy horse memorial so campground is quiet. we got good cell phone and dish reception. We camped at Heritage Village Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall, the best part is that it is convenient to all things Black Hills. Reasonably clean and neat. Scenic views. Hookups good. Mostly a park for workers at Crazy Horse. Quiet, except for traffic late into the evening as workers come in. Drawbacks: There are some sites that are extremely off level. Terrible smell often from the cesspool pond on the edge of the property. No monthly rate. Landscaping could be better maintained.

There are much nicer parks in the area, but they are also more expensive. Not sure I would return. We camped at Heritage Village Campground in a Travel Trailer.

price is approximate for a monthly rate. this is the 4th time we have stayed here over an extended time. good view of crazy horse mountain and close to custer city as well as other attractions. only drawback for us was lack of wifi but can go into town to visitors center or library with 24/7 availability. one of the best priced campgrounds in the black hills. roads in and out are a bit rough which is typical for the hills. will definitely come back.h. We camped at Heritage Village Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very nice park and due to the location (you could easily see Crazy Horse Monument and you were overlooking a pretty valley and were next to the Michaelson hiking and biking trail which is hard packed and runs for many miles). Owners' are nice and the place is clean and sights have some shade. If you need WIFI you can drive 2 miles to Custer, SD and sit out side their library and use WIFI. If open go inside. Less than a mile from Crazy Horse. If they had WIFI and TV I would give them a 10. Actually we could pickup 4 channels including CBS. We camped at Heritage Village Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Park was friendly but Verizon phone and air card didn't work well. The showers sprayed water everywhere, so it was difficult to keep clothes, and shoes dry. Voltage dipped to unsatisfactory level when any appliance turned on. It is convenient to tourist attractions. I would not return. We camped at Heritage Village Campground in a Motorhome.
