3 RV Parks near Eureka, South Dakota
Jul 2017 - $25.00
This is just a big grass field with a bunch of hookups. Everything worked. No wifi or cable or I would have given higher rating. FHU. Not a bad place for the price. - lb0456
Jun 2013 - $20.00
Small campground with limited sites about 4 miles from the town of Ashley. They have added 7 new sites that are 50 amp. Gravel back-in sites; some are fairly long sites. Not completely level; we needed to add three blocks to level. First site we had had low branches, so we had to move to another site that was available, and it turned out to be the best site in the park with a lakeside view. Lots of grass around the entire park. Does not have sewer hookups ,but it does have a dump site, and also a fish cleaning station. Unable to rate any higher because of no sewer sites and there is no enforcement of rules. Would stay here again, but try to avoid weekends when the locals do their party. We stayed 12 days at this park---While I still think it is a great park I have to really make anyone planning to stay here very aware that there are no rules here and that people let their big dogs run free and do their business everywhere and never pick it up. Inconsiderate owners, bad management, no rule enforcement. - saroot
Jul 2010 - $10.00
Previous review a little harsh. Not a bad little stop between Bismarck ND and Pierre SD. An open field just off the road north of town, with sign in front. Understaffed with pay box in building. Pull up, hook up and pay $20/nite, or $10/nite Passport America rate. Bathroom & Shower in steel barn building. A little dirty around the edges, but easily cleaned up to acceptable. Water & Electric OK. Dump station across field. Pretty quiet after dark when slight highway noise settled down. Adolescents nearby riding quads and shooting fireworks, since it was the 4th of July. All in all, not a bad stop for the price. No Wi-Fi. Would stay here again. - IslandBob
Jul 2009 - $10.00
It's hard to believe there are campgrounds with full hookups for $10 a night, but this one is not worth half that! Beware. We arrived after a tortuous trip over mud/sand/dirt construction throughout the main street of Herreid, to find a overgrown weed patch with faint traces of RV slots. We pulled in, slowed down to double check our eyes, and pulled out. Unfortunately, Herreid is a horrid little town right now, and this campground is representative of it. We won't slow down next time. - Meanderman
May 2009 - $10.00
This park is ok for one night stops. It is a very plain park with no amenities. We stayed here in a fifth wheel using Passport America. There is easy access and large sites. - Davesam
