We only stayed here one night, but we were sorry we couldn't stay longer. The camp was comfortable and had lots of shade trees. The owner was very nice and we had everything we needed. The camp was very family-friendly and everyone was friendly and well-behaved. We would really like to stay here again. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

We had a one night stay after getting delayed a day at our previous stop. The owner was so nice about it and didn't charge us. He held our mail for us. Park was treed but easy for us to maneuver. Folks next to us use the park often. We would return if we ever get back here. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Stopped for and over night and stayed 3 days. This has to be the most family oriented park I have been to. The owner wants a family park not a party place and works at keeping it that way. One of the friendliest owner I have met. Also had Military discounts for our protectors. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a large play ground, swimming pool & game room with lots of kids. My kids are all grown with kids of their own but they would have loved this place.

Corn Palace, Indian Ruins archaeological dig site close by. Town has many old interesting homes if you like old homes. Wall Mart and shopping riht down the road.

Overall Rating:

This older campground is very clean and very well run. The campsites are shady (a nice feature during the hot weather), level and large. We stayed here two times, once in both directions on our trip to South Dakota. The pool has concrete sides, which was a bit unusual, but it is super clean and so refreshing. I can't say enough about how helpful and pleasant the staff was to work with. We liked it enough to stay here a second time. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Lovely treed park, could see spending more than one night here.
Things just opening for the season (pool etc), park still fairly busy for a Friday night.
Our site was perfect; level, wide and private. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We spent 1 night here in the late season. The owners got is into a spot quickly and were very friendly. He drew us a picture to the sight and we drove right to it. The sites were almost perfectly level. The trees provided great coverage but also made grass almost non existent on a few spots. The campground had a really nice playground which we attempted to use but the gnats were terrible for some reason. We noticed the gnats were the same other places thought and not just at the campground so it must be the time of year. We also used the WiFi which I was really surprised by because our sight was almost the furthest from the office but our signal was excellent. The campground was very quiet even for being right next to the interstate. We will return again. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

The staff were very friendly. The trees blocked the highway noise which was nice. Water wasn't working, but they didn't charge for it. There were lots of families and a very cold pool. There were quite a few mosquitoes and lots of smoke from surrounding campsites. Sites were a bit close to each other. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

There were owls hunting and swooping in the campground which was cool. Tried to go to Corn Palace, but arrived after it closed.

This park is close to I-90 easy on and off. The road leading to it is a gravel somewhat wash board lane but is less than 1/4 mile so no issues if you take is slow. The park itself has many trees but are trimmed well. Rig mounted satellite dishes probably won't work. When we were there we were able to get a signal due to the kindness of the owner to set aside a spot that would probably help but the trees hadn't filled with leaves. If there are no trees people complain there is no shade. If there are trees people complain there is no satellite reception. What is an owner to do?

The park appears to be nothing but dirt with a smattering of gravel on the roads and sites. With rare exception there is grass where there should be and it is apparent the owners are working hard to keep it that way. But after an all night rain the sites and roads were solid. We had visions of mud all over the fender wells. We took it slow when we left and had nothing thrown on the motorhome. We suspected that because we followed another couple out and we could barely see their tire tracks.

We didn't use the facilities so we can't speak about them. If they are as well kept as the rest of the park they will be great.

We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

We camped here in a 40' rig. The park is located about a 1/4 mile off of I-90 in a grove of Cottonwood trees. The owner was quite helpful and pleasant. They definitely cater to local area clientele, and on weekends you will notice it more. Everybody knew everybody here. The water pressure and electric worked fine. Sites were fairly close together, but it was workable. For an overnighter, it was fine. My Verizon phone was 4 bars and our Millenicom MiFi was 4G LTE. We would stay here again. Nice campground, shaded, and close to I-90 with no freeway noise. We were there on a weekend and many families were there. The quiet hours are from 11PM - 8 AM. Unfortunately, some parents allowed their small children to be out riding bikes until after 10 PM. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Our level full hookup site was small in width , the sewer was right next to our picnic table. The water had good pressure and good electric. Had a little road noise from the interstate but not real bad. The sites and road were rock and made for a little dust. Getting to corn palace was easy as was the other attraction. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

A cozy little campground right off I-90. Very friendly owner who offers a lot of amenities in a small space. We didn’t have a chance to try the game room or swimming pool, but both looked nice. Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect, but worked once the router was reset inside the office. We camped at Dakota Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
