Overall Rating:

Rate is an average of 5 nights using Passport America and Good Sam discounts. This little campground is a gem. Our site had a concrete pad, some of the other sites also had pads but most were gravel, all are pull-thru and full hook-ups. Roads are gravel and well maintained. Park is just off a major highway so there is some road noise. Office employee (owner/host?) was very friendly. Laundromat was very clean and connected to the office, $2 wash/$1 dry. We were very comfortable here and extended a few more days to relax. Cable available with a free cable box loan at the office. T-Mobile and AT&T signals were strong. Park also had wifi but we didn't use it. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small no frills campground that is clean and right off the Interstate. Behind the Super 8 Motel. No problem with road noise but construction was going on in front of the motel and park entrance. FHU were ok but sewer does stick up fairly high. Our pull thru was plenty long, gravel and level. No patio but sites have a fire ring and picnic table. Free wi-fi and cable box ( but we just watched the two OTA channels). Nice shade trees. Good for an overnight stop or to visit the Corn Palace. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Grass between sites with mature trees. Very clean restrooms and showers. Friendly staff. Some highway noise but not bad. Train track with one train at 5 am, but no horn. Very nice place for an overnight stay. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Convenient park for overnight stay right off interstate 90. RV park is behind the Super8 Motel. Good price and many discounts available. Our site had lovely trees for shade but prevented use of Satellite and we were unable to get OTA channels. Wifi OK. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good stopover for a night or two when traveling to Badlands/Black Hills etc. Nothing fancy, most people seemed to be overnighters. Grass was pretty long and needed mowed. You could use the Super 8 outdoor pool which was adjacent to sites (we didn't use) We stayed two nights. Price of $20 was the Passport America price (could only use PA one night) and was $33 the next night with Good Sam discount. WiFi was pretty good, as was AT&T service. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Most folks stop to see the Corn Palace.... that will take you about a half hour maximum. I'd recommend the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village which is an active archeological site. Very interesting and during mid- June/July you can watch archeology students working.

GPS brought us right to the Super 8 Motel/R & R RV Park. Checkin was at the motel. We were in the upper level which was a nice concrete pad on a long pull thru. The roads were paved and the upper level is a big rig friendly park with the sites not crammed together. We put our RV in the pull thru so that our sewer hose would reach and also putting the front under a shade tree while allowing a good line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish around that tree. Once settled the hookups were convenient. The park had free wifi but we did not use it. We probably should have since the ATT 4g was 1 bar, sometimes 2 but spotty. ATT cellular was better at 3-4 bars. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here on our way to The Badlands via I90. We wanted to check out Mitchell anyways so it was a convenient stop. The gal in the office was friendly and helpful. The pull thru spots were long enough for our 31ft class A and our Jeep Wrangler tow. The showers were very clean. We would definitely stay here again and we wish that all overnight stops were as easy and nice as this one! We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

50 amp service, good wifi, free cable tv with a box, sewer and good after pressure. Plenty of trees and not too unlevel. Good gravel interior roads. The only bad thing is the roads are Town up on Burr street making it a little difficult to find. Near I-90 but the road noise wasn't too bad. There is a pool behind the motel that the rv park can use, but we didn't...it's not heated. We would stay here again...very convenient except for the road construction. We actually stayed here for a few nights to take a little break from traveling. We paid at the PA rate for one night, then the military rate for the remaining nights. For the cost, it was a great value. The pool is nice, great temperature. The bathrooms were clean but small. The showers are small, but serviceable. The playground equipment is fun and secure. The manager and staff are nice and accommodating. The grass wasn't all green and lush, but it wasn't bad. Most of the sites were gravel and appeared to be level. We were on a concrete pad and it was a great site. Even though the park is right next to the freeway, the sound did not disturb our sleep. The cable worked great - you have to get a cable box from the office. I saw a few motorhomes and trailers that used satellite instead of the cable and they said it worked fine. We camped there in a motorhome. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little RV park behind the Super 8 Motel. As of this writing there is construction. Call ahead for directions off the interstate. The RV park is to the left and behind the Super 8. The camp is close to interstate, but found it quiet. Sites level. FHU's well place and good condition. Most site treed. Used carry out dish for sat. Park has cable, but may need to get a box from the office. (did not use) Good Verizon. T-Mobile 3-g. Wifi was usable with full park, but we were near the office. Nice park personnel (camp hosts). Sites gravel, level with grass in between. You can use the Super 8 motel pool. Small playground. Some grass for Rover. Interior road easy. Very nice place near the freeway for an overnight stop. Gas station for gassers across the street from RV park. Not a fancy park but well kept and a good value for a night or two. Site was long enough for 36' towing. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is a lot of road construction in front of the campground and without good directions from the staff when I booked it, we would have had a difficult time finding it. It really is behind the Super 8 Motel. Quiet, helpful staff. Wifi adequate, need cable box to use cable, but it is provided at no charge. Very close to many resturants, some that you can walk to and others were a short drive. We only stayed one night on our way home from South Dakota, although the park was almost full when we got there and when we left others were checking in. Pool is shared with the motel. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This campground was surprisingly quiet considering its proximity to Interstate 90. We expected lots of road noise, especially when we were trying to sleep, but there was none. Our site was 3 sites from the office. Not sure what it would be like if your site was closer to the highway. Sites were large enough for us to park our boat, 5th wheel and truck on, although we did have to unhook our truck. Overall, the sites were rather large for a commercial campground. Campers may use the pool at the Super 8, which is next to the campground. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Sites were clean. Our Dish satellite worked well on our site. Campground WiFi was fast and signal was strong. We'll stay here again when in MItchell. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for a night or two. Level spots, all gravel. Good utilities. Cable doesn't work as you need a box. Wifi adequate. Some shade, quite a bit of sunny sites, facing west. Very dusty with construction on main road. I 90 very close and some noise. Behind Super 8, but easy to find. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Corn palace being redone, but still interesting. Easy to get to with good nearby parking. Found a really nice dog park which allowed our pooch to stretch her legs a bit as there is very little walking areas for pets at CG.
