3 Parks near Murdo, South Dakota
Jul 2015 - $35.00
Easy in and out, right on I90 but...trying to find someone to check you in was extremely difficult. Owner apparently doesn't believe in hiring someone to oversee the RV park and motel so you have to hunt someone down. After choosing a gravel W/E site we found that our surge protector found errors on 5 sites before we opted to move to another area that was 50 amp. Site was on concrete, close to next site, utilities satisfactory, ample shade but Dish worked well. Will never stay here again. - loneranger

Stayed 1 night while traveling through. Easy access from interstate. Concrete, full hookup, pull-through site on the upper level was level, and the CG was clean. Lower level sites are grass with water/electric. No water in pool. Walking distance to grocery store & restaurants - very small town. There is a Pilot truck center nearby. No cable TV, but Wi-Fi worked well. Couldn't get reception with our upgraded antenna, so satellite will be needed for TV. Plenty of space to walk the dog. We would stay here again. - Gayle E.

To be fair, I also filled out their website survey so they could make improvements. Their website states they are a Good Sam park but they are not, and do not offer discounts. The gruff lady that checked us in (there is no campground office or store, and registration is in the motel office) said they had not been since "the pool went down". The stated rates are for 2 adults but we were charged an extra $2.00 per day, even though we told her we were 2 adults and 1 pet. She also chastised me as I was filling out her form and said, "If you would just listen to what I said" when I was providing the state of registration of our tow vehicle and she only wanted the trailer's manufacturer. Not a hospitable encounter at all. The lower level is electric/water and grassy and shady. Sites are close together and beside the interstate. The showers are hot with lots of pressure but very dated. The dump station was roomy enough. Right in town. Registration is at the motel office in front of the RV Park. Good signage for the park. Website is outdated. The pool is closed. Ok if you only need to stay a night or two. - NatureWandering
