The park is convenient to I-90 but along with that comes road noise. We were not bothered by it. I mention it because I have met others who are sensitive. Pull through spaces are quite level. We enjoyed some shade at the site. It looks like many trees have been recently planted. There is a small heated pool open late into the evening, clean showers and bathrooms and a laundry. Good Verizon signal. No OTA TV stations but the park supplies cable at no additional fee. Satellite signal for Direst TV was good. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed in Chamberlain to visit Lewis and Clark trail sites. Big Bend Dam is about 30 minutes away. Drive rte 50 to get there and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It is part of the Native American Scenic Byway. The Oacoma Visitor Center on I-90 has a good Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and spectacular views. Akta Lakota Museum and Cultural Center about 15 minutes away. Al's Oasis is within walking distance. There are a restaurant, gift shop and grocery store all in one long building. The restaurant has good diner type food and a salad bar.

Fortunately, by this time of the season (late August), this park is no longer very full during the week. This makes finding and getting a satellite friendly site, having a good internet connection, and enjoying an uncrowded pool easy. See my 8/16 review for a more detailed description of the park. As usual, we had a FHU, pull through site with their cable TV with limited channels. So we depended mostly on our DirecTV for everything but network stations. We were able to enjoy the pool and do a load of laundry simultaneously. The bathroom facilities are older but clean. A full park would probably be to much for these bathrooms. Check in was quick and simple. The one staffer we dealt with was friendly and helpful. I saw no recycling. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Motorhome.

Little shade on hot 96 degree days. Wi-fi pretty bad to non-existent. Sites close together. Gravel pad. Not too much leveling required. Not a destination park, a stop over only. Staff friendly and willing to help. Bath area is spacious. Showers had good water pressure. Loved the pool, clean, perfect temperature. Large grassy areas to walk the dogs. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is a standard older RV park with a little bit more space between sites then usual. Back in sites are back of RV to back of RV. Has a number of trees and grass. Well kept up. Our site was not level but worked OK. Highway noise is extreme though. Chamberlain camping spots fill up quickly over the weekend so was grateful to find a spot here. Al's Oasis is across the street and has restaurant grocery store and shops. The buffalo burger was fabulous. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Motorhome.

Very convenient mid-South Dakota I-90 park. Sites are hit and miss on level, nature of the terrain. Utilities, wifi, bathrooms good. Al's restaurant, full grocery, and gas (you get a discount) a short drive/moderate walk. Camp price is a tad high but mitigated by nickel coffee at the restaurant. Next to I-90 but noise level is relatively low. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Travel Trailer.

All sites are gravel, close to each other and no patios. There is partial shade at many sites. Most of the sites are reasonably level but that depends on the area in which one is parked. The massive restrooms seemed clean. The negative is that the Park is about 75 yards off the interstate so if one wishes to sleep with the windows open, one may have a challenge having a quiet, peaceful, night. Nonetheless, I would stay here again for an overnight. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our first time here in 3 years. I don't know why a recent reviewer made a comment about the park not being part of Al's Oasis. Why is that even relevant to a review?

The park continues to be an adequate stop in the middle of SD right off I-90 (Exit 260). The sites are gravel, not all level, and mostly pull through. As mentioned by others, the cable TV channel selection is now minimal due to cable company greed. Satellite friendly sites are few and far between because of all the trees. The WI-FI worked OK for us since there were not a lot of customers here in late August. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are old, but clean and practical. The pool is the park's best feature on a hot day. The staff I dealt with were friendly. I saw no sign of recycling. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Motorhome.

Sites were extremely close to each other. Lots of highway noise, which is to be expected, but easy on and off. Sites were extremely close and dirt, but there was grass for walking the dogs. Fine for an overnight stop, but not longer. We would stay again for the convenience. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I was led to believe from the Al's Oasis website that this was part of that operation, since there was a link on that site to Oasis RV park. As far as I can tell, that is not true. Park is only average - sparse gravel roads and sites, many not level. Wifi non-existent. Cable didn't work. Sewer hookup uphill from RV. Much traffic noise from I-90. We were disappointed. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is ok for an overnight stay while passing through on I-90. It is right off the interstate so access is good but interstate road noise is constant. Sites are gravel/dirt and more or less level. The Wi-Fi worked well. Would overnight here again if passing through but would look elsewhere for anything more than a day. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are designed for two units, one forward facing, one rear facing. Not a problem if the park's not full, but you could wake up in the morning and have someone staring in your rear window. Park is close to interstate so road noise is a concern. Have earplugs if you're a light sleeper. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fine for a one-night stop right off I-90. For overnighters, they pack them in tightly. We were on Site 20 and the sewer for the site next to us was literally 4 feet from our front door. Luckily there was no one in that site. We thought $37 for full hookups including cable was a good value. There is a nice swimming pool at the campground. We didn't notice any noise from the interstate even though it was visible from the campground. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrived mid afternoon office closed. Window direction said pick a site and the office would open at 8am and someone would come around to collect. There were registration slips and envelopes. We left a check for the posted amount. Sites are a mixed bag from good to unusable except for maybe a tent trailer. Utilities were fine. A new maintenance employee did meet us an pointed out the number to call if we had a problem. Park is next to I-90 so expect some noise. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Al's Oasis includes a grocery store, motel, fuel, and restaurant. The restaurant is good, especially breakfast, bacon eggs pots and toast for 5 bucks and the coffee is five cents. The grocery is a tad pricey but convenient.

Towed to this park after a mishap on the road. Cable tv, good wifi. Auto repair and shopping in walking distance. Good park, might have rated a little higher if not right on I-90. Constant highway noise. In my opinion, priced high for what you get. Would not stay again due to noise, but good for one night. We camped at Al's Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
