For $37/night, I expect to get what I'm paying for. No sewer hookups and the dump station was broken. I was afraid to hook up the water so I didn't. The restrooms were old and dirty and filled with mosquitoes; pretty much unusable. The sites are okay, but there's an old nasty full-time rig in the back (where we were) that is beyond description. (I think he trapped and killed prairie dogs! Weird!) They say they just took over and they're working on things. Could be a nice park. There's even a pool, but it's unusable. I would avoid this place for at least another 2 years and maybe check back to see if they've cleaned it up. - Outlaws in the wind

We came in at 6pm. Sign at office said they would be back at 5:30, but no one was there. No one was there when we left at 10 the next morning. The office was in the campstore, which was also not open all that time. Just a gravel parking lot, sites seemed to run into each other. Couldn't tell if it was reserved, if it was one site or two, etc.
No idea about the bathrooms, but if they were anything like the rest of the facilities they probably aren't worth trying. Next time, we will stay in the dispersed camping in Buffalo Gap or in Wall, rather than stop here. - Rex Deaver

I will say that the lady doing the check-in was very nice and it is only three miles to the Badlands entrance. However from there it goes downhill. When we got there they were showing us in the middle of the road, not on a site! When they got us a site it was a 50 amp and we needed 30 and they did not have any adapters. We finally got a different site but the sewer was not available as tree roots had grown through it so we only had water and electric, not full hookups as we had requested when we booked. They actually did not have a site that could accommodate us and we ended up taking two sites, pulling through and using both sites. I was going to use the bathroom for showering but it was disgusting. Not clean at all and very very run down. The pool was another terrible issue. The water level was extremely low and didn't even reach the skimmers. There was a lot of debris in the pool. There was no way I would go swimming in it! - Ice247

Park owner not very friendly but usually don't go on that alone. Called and asked for a 1 to 2 night stay and told her I had a 40' 5th wheel. She asked if I could use 30amp service. I said I could work with it. Once we got there I noticed a 50 amp service and plugged into that. It didn't work. I tried the next site and it had 50 amp and was working and it was empty. Being in the mid 90's I asked my wife to go to the office and see if we could change to the next site due to 50 amp service. She said your husband said he could work with 30 amp. I'm saving that for someone that might need it. Guess I didn't need it because now I was already a customer. Laundry still had water in washing machine as the last review said. Park not very well kept in my eyes and if it is broken they don't fix it. Will not return. - Dave49

Okay place to spend the night off of Interstate 90. Very dated facilities. One of the washers in laundry room had standing water in it. The Wi-Fi didn't work for us which we really needed. When we spoke to the woman at the desk she said, "well it (the internet) works for me" and made no other checks to make sure system was functioning. Loud motorcycles coming and going late into night and early in the morning. - MaryRyan

A good place to stay for one night. It was quite and easy to get back on the freeway. We found them listed in the AAA Camping Guide. - Bill & Helen

As others have said the sites are different, parking is on the side of the road. The front of our camper faced the road, but so did many others. Site 85 was level and dry. The campground was out in the open and the sun was very hot at midday, but the camper gave some shade. Water was a few feet away and the dump station was on the way out of the park. The ranger programs were wonderful, the scenery and trails were great. Lodge and visitor center were nearby. It was better than any of the campgrounds we saw in the town of Interior. - dalebonnie

This is a concessionaire operated Park Service CG, very conveniently located in the midst of the Badlands and near the Badlands Visitors Center. Some sites have 50A, others 30 A, others no services. Water & sewer only available @ dump station. Sites are narrow expansions of the roadway, adequate, but not spacious. Restrooms & showers are conveniently located; showers cost $0.25/2 minutes (quarters only) and are adequate but not luxurious. Surrounding veiw of the Badlands is quite spectacular. Most sites relatively level, but a few are not! - JerryD

2 nights. The sight has the most beautiful views. The bugs drove us mad and even after spraying myself they still came. There is no real hassle with the slide being out. Some sights may have trouble getting there RV level. We had 87 and 76 which were excellent. Used AT&T for data and it was good. Road access is easy. No shade available except on the picnic table at midday. - Aussie Chums
