Nice park just off I-29. Paved roads and sites. Roads are in just OK condition. Site in good condition. Most sites have at least some shade. Not great space between sites, but OK. Picnic table provided. No wi-fi or cable. Very clean bathrooms. Plumbing is very old, but bathrooms have been remodeled with new tile floors and showers. Overall very good condition. Entrance is on main drag just a few minutes from downtown. Make sure to visit Falls Park. Lots of shopping just a couple of miles down I-29. If you are coming from the north on I-29. get off at exit 80 and take the back roads around to the park. The road at the entrance has a median. If you are heading south and you get off at exit 79, you'll have to do a very tight u-turn. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

The grounds were OK but not well kept, it seemed like a long term camp ground, not a RV park , spaces for people traveling were limited to as few as 6 . WIFI was not working , strong sewer smell throughout campground. Very disappointed! Just didn't feel safe. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We picked Tower Campground as a one night stay during a pass through travel to Black Hills. The only positives I can say is the office staff was very polite both on the phone and check-in. The location provides a convenient off interstate, easy in and out. Our site was a tight site in the west campground between two units that looked like they were permanent residence. We were concerned that our three slide-outs would invade their "space." We apologized to one neighbor explaining that we would only be there one night. His response was: "We are used to it."

The sites and road are dirt. As another stated, for the cable tv you must have a remote from the office. A return box is provided for leaving in the AM when the office is closed. The bathhouse nearest our site was old, dirty, and creepy. It was quite a hike to use the nicer and cleaner bath house in the other campground.

Overall, the $40.00 rate is a rip-off for the site we had, and we would not stay here again. The other section of campground is a bit nicer, but ours was the pits. We camped at Tower Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay, as others have indicated, to establish residency. Easy in and out. Extreemly helpful staff. Road noise not an issue for us. Hookups convenient and worked well. CATV requires their remote but worked well and numerous channels to choose from. Our site had no satellite due to trees. Not sure many sites in the park have access unless you use a stand alone dish. Lots of space between us and neighbor. Level site. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

I called ahead 5 hours, then arrived mid afternoon Sunday. Later on that evening the manager checked on me to see if everything was OK. I had a flat tire on the road just prior to arriving. I asked the manager where I could have it repaired. Being in a 37' motor home and pulling a 24' trailer would not be easy to maneuver, he offered to take my tire to have it repaired. I accepted and he returned in two hours with my tire repaired. This is customer service at its best. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Couldn't even check in, despite 'new management '. Had made reservations with guaranteed long term stay site, had advised office of delayed arrival. In actuality, charged for 'late arrival', and site changed with no given reason. Also was told had to sign 'agreement' that said Campground held NO liability for ANY situation during entire stay WITHOUT exclusions. Had to sign before could go to site. So we drove right back out. Would NEVER stay at Tower Campground again We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is pretty much for business stays. The people staying here have a purpose in Sioux Falls. We were changing our residency, and this was the perfect place to stay. Good location, close to everything, amenities are well maintained and in good working order. Other than a few jets flying over at night, campground is quiet. The staff is wonderful and very friendly and helpful. That being said, it's not a typical campground. There is a small playplace for kids, no pool, no "fun director" or anything like that. If you are looking for a clean quiet place to stay, this is it, if you are looking for fellowship, fun, theme nights probably not for you. I would gladly stay again. We were here for three weeks getting residency and doing touristy things. This is a good place to do business in Sioux Falls. It is convenient to everything. If you are looking for a vacation spot keep going. There is traffic noise from the interstate as well as 12th street which is the main road into downtown. We had aircraft noise one day as the SD National Guard is based out of a nearby airport. The older west lot was closed during our stay. The back to back spots, where we were, are OK but tight if you have a big rig and toad. The perimeter spots are back in but very long and wide. If you need overflow parking get one of these although they seem to be occupied by mostly permanent residents. We were next to a guy who had been there four years. He said the pipeline crews are mostly gone compared to the past few years, and that they cleaned out the problem folks a year or so ago. Most of the permanent folks seem to work during the day. The water pressure was good. The wifi was spotty at best. It was great at first but then became unreliable. They have a bunch of routers, all with the same password, some never worked, some worked so-so, some were good then went out or became slow. We gave up and used our hotspot. We used the laundry which looked new and had good machines. Did not use the bath house but looked in and it was clean. The driveway needs to be resurfaced. The back to back sites are asphalt. Perimeter sites are gravel. Most are very level. Office staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are getting your drivers license get there at 7 AM when they open. We were given this advice and glad we did. We were 2nd in line and got through quickly but when we left the place was packed. Sioux Falls Park is excellent. There is a nice dog park at Spencer park.

My experience was fantastic. The campground hosts we're very kind and cordial. They were very helpful and made us feel right at home and welcome. The campground was in pristine condition. We had walks around and it was in very good shape and noticed an older section and it was in very good shape also. There also was attention to detail. I will be making this campground a yearly stop from now on. I most highly recommend this facility. ALL THUMBS UP ! We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was just an overnight after a long day of repair work nearby. We called for reservations and they charged our credit card right away. Price seems high even with Good Sam discount. Park is on the corner of I-29 and 12th Street which is the main road into downtown Sioux Falls. Very busy area and the noise level is constantly high. Our full hookup, pull thru in the west campground was gravel, level, shady and super tight. We were very close to the rig next to us. No fire ring or picnic table. Wifi was spotty. Campground location is convenient to food, shopping, the mall and businesses. If you're a big rig, towing and coming from the interstate, you won't be able to turn directly into the main park entrance due to the median. You will have to go to the next light and make a U-turn. We checked Google Maps and took Exit 80 from I-29 and used side streets to avoid making the U-turn with our 40' motorhome and tow dolly. You can call the office and get directions as well. This was fine for overnight but we won't stay here again. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Reliability is the main characteristic we ask for. When you make a reservation you expect it to be honored. The least someone could do is notify you immediately if they decide to "not honor" it. We made a reservation prior to coming and prepaid. When we arrived in the afternoon we were told that our site was given away because someone made a mistake. They said to go ahead and unhook as they had another site. We unhooked but then they said that site was also unavailable. They, then offered us a 38 foot side that had 30 amp in their overnight park. We have a 42 foot motor home, we need 50 amp, and we need a place to park our vehicle.

So after a hard day's drive you expect to have a place to park. Tower is unreliable and if you use it, you are taking a big risk. Not only did they fail to honor our reservation but they have not refunded the $198.00 we paid for the week. They said it would be 2-4 weeks before it would be returned.

If you do stay here please be aware that people wander through the lot who do not live there. Be careful going out to walk the dog at night. There does not appear to be any security. Do not expect the park hosts to be responsive or helpful. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Park was clean, wifi was okay, restrooms and showers were clean. Park has a bit of a run-down feel, but was fine for an overnight stay. We had a pull-through so traffic noise from major thoroughfare didn't affect us. Many back-ins were right near the road, so glad we didn't take one. Mostly long term residents and a few traveling through. Glad we had a large pull through and not a back in.

We found it OK and worked for us but it is looking tired. I would stay again. The site was gravel/dirt and easy in and out for our coach. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

If this is where you want to stay, I would definitely advise making a reservation. This campground has 9 spots for drop-ins; all others are taken by pipeline crews.

West campground is old - a gravel lot with narrow sites - the gravel under the picnic table was full of weeds. The sites are so tight we didn't even open our curtains!

The south area, we were told, has been renovated and has reasonable sites but center ones are back to back, so if you have rear windows, be prepared that you might be looking into someone else's rig a few inches away.

The park has a total of 3 showers in 2 building - 1-west, 2-south. The west one (Mens) was okay if you don't mind the missing toilet tank cover, etc. The south ones (Mens) are a nice size but there's no place to put your toiletries while you shower other than on the floor. These supposedly are newly renovated - dunno how you can miss this?!

Wifi went out first night we were there - never came back on. We checked out after 2 nights.

Office lady was very "cold", showed no interest in helping resolve issues with wifi or attempt to move us from our assigned site in the west c/g to a nicer spot in the south c/g.

Noise from road was not a problem overnight, but in the morning, the people leaving for work in the noisy diesel pickups was annoying.

We would definitely not stay here again. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Walked the Yankton park for 2-3 miles on paved path.

We visited during the weekend, so did not spend any time downtown.
