We were fortunate to find this quiet park in Sisseton South Dakota. For us we had room to move to put out our awning and our slide out. They were full hook ups and the site was level. We were concerned though in how the sites are set up; if we had a camper pull in next to us, we would have had to pull in the awning and our outside furniture. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the site comfortable to town. There are laundry facilities and a Rec room used for group functions. There is little shade, but the tree next to us and our awning provided the shade needed. Though there is the laundry on site, we had a fair amount to do and went into town to a laundromat there where we could do all of the laundry in one hour. We camped at Camp Dakotah in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to get the Sisseton visitors guide from the front office so you can see what sights are available to see locally. The town has a restaurant or two, Subway, an ace hardware, and a nice size grocery store. The lake communities short distance away were delightful to visit and enjoy the recreation there. We made sure to make a trip to Nicolette tower to view three states from the top. If you do go, be sure to stop in at the interpretive center while there. There is even a golf course across the street from the tower, but I don't know whether it's open to the public.

We stayed two nights visiting family in the area. The owners were friendly and helpful. Our campsite was small but adequate. This is great overnight or a place to park if you are visiting the area as we were. It's a small, pretty and well kept little campground right off the I29, easy in and easy out. The WIFI was excellent. We camped at Camp Dakotah in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very lovely, charming place! I wish I could stay longer than overnight. The only reason this is a 9 and not a 10 is because it's almost in the middle of nowhere and not much to do in the area, but the campground itself is very enjoyable. There's a nice playground for the kids, horses and a small garden, nice decorations and sculptures abound and very well kept. It's a very small campground (only about 30 sites) but they are extremely spacious and all pull thrus with FHU. I would absolutely stay here again. We camped at Camp Dakotah in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not a lot to do in the area itself, but it's a nice, serene place to just unwind and get away from it all.

Easy in and out campground, although different in that there are two long rows of sites in back of the office with alternating pedestals so it appears sharing hookups, but not really as each have their own, mostly long term people with a few people coming and going on a daily basis, like us who stayed two nights as wanted to see Sisseton historical places, sites were a combination of having had gravel, although mostly dirt with some grass growing in between. Office lady said go find a spot which we did as all are pull-through sites. No fire pits nor picnic tables. We camped at Camp Dakotah in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Sisseton is in nearby Lake City - about 25 miles away - also on the outskirts of town is The Nicollet Tower and Interpretive Center which is 75 ft. tall, can see three states, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota from the top if brave enough to climb. Also a lovely historic home to tour is The Stavig House Museum which is well worth the time to tour.

This is a mom pop that is OK for an overnight stay. If you are big, there is only 3 or 4 sites that will handle you. Ask for #33, it is the curve at the end of the row. You just park there overnight (in the road) and plug in. Kind of a junky park and more like a fishing camp with several permanent set ups in junk RV's. Nice folks, but our 45' bus was glad to leave early in the morning. We camped at Camp Dakotah in a Motorhome.

Campground is a half mile west of I-29 with easy entrance and exit. Not all sites are 50amp so request by reservation if needed. Playground has a selection of activities and large yard area rarely used by tenters. Sunny sites have better satellite reception than those under trees. Not all are level either. Friendly owners will answer questions and direct you to area attractions. We had no problem with WiFi or Verizon but no TV reception to speak of unless you have a dish. Great for overnight stay. We camped at Camp Dakotah in a Motorhome.
