We arrived in Spearfish a day early and didn't have reservations at our destination, so we gave Chris' camp a shot. Friendly office staff and host who drove us in the golf cart to check out possible sites for our 43' coach. A real mix of sites in this park with lots of nice, shaded tent camping spots, many small to medium size spots, but there didn't seem to be many overly long sites that would fit a big rig and tow. We ended up in pull through site K, and based on the suggestion of the host, drove in backward so we had a nice side yard view of the hills and their barnyard zoo area. No parking for the tow on our spot, so host said to use the site behind us. We had clear sky for satellite reception, but that will be questionable for most sites based on the many trees. The host also mentioned we could let our dogs run in the field near our site, which was a very nice offer, but due to the high temps, we didn't partake. My only complaint was one host who was a bit pushy in trying to sell us rv maintenance products. Lots of rv park choices in the area, so can't say we'll be back, but overall a decent place to stay. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

Recommended by a friend who lives in the area. Extremely organized as the camp has been the family for 4 generations. There are sites to accommodate all types of camping. Near I90 yet quiet. Lots of trees for shade. Staff is 5 star with assisting with every need. Site escorts are experienced. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

This is a great park with great owners and staff. We held a rally here in June of 2018. We had 49 rigs. The roads and sites are very well maintained. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. The owners could not have been any more accommodating to us and our members. They went out of their way to make our rally a big success. They went above what we could have expected. We would come back and do another rally here without hesitation. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

We stayed a week to see the Northern Black Hills, and it was clean, and well maintained. They have a nice pool, and many shaded RV sites, and Wi-Fi, and cable worked great. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second time we stayed at Chris' Camp and we will continue to stay here when we visit the Black Hills area. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The campground is on a hill side overlooking Spearfish. The sites are spacious and well taken care of, most have shade. Cable TV has about 30 channels. Beautiful area plenty to see and do, we were just far enough from the city and highway to make it peaceful and quiet. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Really nice park. Lots of amenities under shaded sites. The only dings is that the water pressure was very low <35psi, and the WiFi didn't work. Management is awesome. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park has everything an RV'er would want and all the amenities. The couple who own the campground are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It is easy off and on the interstate, and easy entrance and exit the park. We got there when a car show was going on in Deadwood, and the place was packed. Being this crowded, it was very tight; our slide out was within a foot of our neighbors; also once you got into your site, you had a difficult time getting out. Ask about satellite; some sites are shaded. We would stay here again if in the area but not during an event; we stayed here a week in a 39 foot fifth wheel. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

IMO the manager is a rock star, great attitude and she took good care of us. We had a nice site, we were there for seven nights with our kid (3.5 year old) and met family with their two boys (4 and 9). The pools were a huge hit, very well maintained and kid friendly. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Travel Trailer.

If you want to roll the dice and take a chance, you might get a beautiful site. You also might end up as we did and receive a terrible site as we did for our recent six night stay. We were offered one of two pull-through sites for our 34' MH towing a car. The better of the two sites was very long on a gravel drive-way so long that we could've parked two or three cars behind the coach. The problem was the site was very narrow. I had to sit on my neighbors picnic table to access the storage bays on the driver-side slide. On the passenger side, the coach steps emptied directly onto the berm of the main black top road. The road was so close with no visual separation and elevated the cars could look directly into our windows as they drove by. There was an annoying car dragging something on the ground that drove by repeatedly like I was at a homeless camp of some type. When exiting the coach, one had to walk at an angle and dodge a tree to get to what was the only room at our site to set up a chair, table, etc., the long gravel driveway behind the coach. We like to spend time outdoors and we do most of our cooking outside. This was a very awkward arrangement that I have not had to experience in my 30+ years of camping and RV'ing.

Yes the park is pretty and the owners are nice and friendly. However, the bummer was that I made my reservation in November for a June visit. Not sure if the returning campers get all the good sites as a priority. We really did not enjoy our time at this resort and the site we received was not on par with how early I made my reservation and the numbe. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

Park does not take plastic. Lady at the desk said it would cost them $300 for the card reader. OK, big park not willing to make a tax deductible expense for the convenience of the customers. Not good. Our campsite was very small. No room to park vehicle. Fortunately there were some unused sites across the road to park in. This is not a good big rig park. Site was all gravel, with one tree on the north side....no shade, and a well worn plastic picnic table. Sites are so small that the picnic tables have to be moved whenever someone is moving in or leaving. $43 per night is very high for what we got. Have had much nicer for $30. WiFi did not work. I asked about this and they said they had a lightning strike a couple of weeks ago and it had not yet been fixed. Customer friendly? On the positive side, the park had a nice swimming pool and the cable TV was better than average. Overall a bad experience. We will not be going back, and we would tell all of our big rig friends to stay away. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This is your average park with lots of shade trees in some areas and open areas for satellite users. Fairly level sites and fairly close together. I had a back in site with a worn picnic table, no fire ring and no patio, just gravel for the site and grass in between sites. Great owners, extremely friendly and helpful. Cash, money order or check only, no credit or debit cards. Two pools and a kiddie pool. A little overpriced for what it is. I might stay here again but would look around the area first to see what else is available. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.
