By far the nicest RV park we have every stayed in. Excellent check in location, easy to get in just off the 85. All roads are wide and paved, all sites are level concrete, with plenty of grassy space between units. Each site has 3 sewer locations making locating your unit very easy. Wi FI was good. The views are spectacular! We stayed 7 days and plan to return next year. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Very close to Deadwood, Spearfish, Lead, and Sturgus. Take the scenic drive 14a thru Spearfish Canyon. Devils Tower is approximately 65 miles from here a easy day trip and well worth the time.

Elk Ridge is a very nice RV Park. Staff are friendly and professional. All sites & patios are cement and streets are all paved. Pull thru sites are very long & level with adequate space between sites. The restrooms are private (each includes a shower, commode and sink) and clean. If I were to make a suggestion for management, the cement slabs could have been a couple feet wider allowing the ability to walk around the coach without having to walk on the grass. We'll definitely plan to stop here again in the future. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

This is still the nicest RV park in the Black Hills, but is showing a bit of wear. On the plus side, roads have been resurfaced, one of the courts converted into a pickle ball court and most of the gopher holes in the dog runs have been filled in. But, landscaping is suffering. The only area with irrigation is around the office and cabins, and the rest of the park has dead grass. The grass in our site was simply worn away, leaving dirt. No one checks then sites when someone leaves. Ours had a cable TV fitting that was pushed in and stripped and there was some litter on the ground. Some trees are dying because of the drought in Western SD and some have died and been cut down to a 4 to 6 inch stump, so you trip over them. No more newspapers available at the office. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Note that I-90 is being rebuilt around Spearfish. If coming from the East, Exit 17 to the park is clear. But West of 17 its down to one lane, and the Spearfish exits are a mess with multiple stop signs and 5 entrances into one intersection. The access road is also down to one lane in both directions since it is being widened. Take your time driving in this area.

Conveniently located right off of I-90, this campground was wonderful. Seemed brand new but has been in business for 10 years. Nicest shower houses we have ever seen at any campground. All facilities were like new and in excellent working order. Pull-through site we had was long enough to fit two campers with tow vehicles, and our combination is 50 ft. long. Each pull-through we saw had sewer dumps in multiple locations to accommodate for different rig types. While there was not an over-abundance of shade, we would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Deadwood, SD. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is beautiful! The internal roads and sites are all paved and each site has easy access to full hookup facilities. The sites and mostly level and in excellent condition and there is a good space between each site. The office is large and always clean with friendly helpful staff. The campground has lovely green areas with beautiful statues of wildlife, nice to look at as you relax under the awning... The one and only negative thing is that there are far too few laundry facilities. There are two blocks with laundry factions BUT there are only 2 washers and 2'Driers in each block.... And with 186 sites this is crazy! We had to do our laundry early in the morning hours or very late at night AND the campground was nowhere near full! We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

This was about the 4th time we stayed here for at least an overnight stop. This is really a luxury, high end, campground with lots of amenities. All sites have concrete pads and multiple sewer hookups. The park is easy to navigate even with a big rig. They have added lines for a pickleball court on one end of the tennis court and there is a portable net. We usually hit tennis balls when we stop here, and we were surprised and disappointed about the sorry shape of the tennis net because otherwise this is such a high class operation. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

In a 4000 mile trip this is the best RV park we stayed in. Spacious, level concrete sites. Paved roads. Beautiful landscaping and views. Even wifi is good as is cable and other utilities. This place was designed and built properly. Nice store too. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the nicest parks we have stayed in. Long pull thru's. Easy entrance and exit from site. Park was light on RVers when we were there. Office staff took extra effort to alternate occupancy for sites so even if overnighters came in, you always had vacancies next to you. So many parks cram you side by side. Grounds were well manicured although lack of rain for the area was stressing out the grass. Wifi and Verizon service was excellent. Cable tv, electric and water all worked great. Water service appeared to be regulated down so no need for regulator. Not much shade is offered since trees are few and small. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

This is a first class facility. Sites are paved, wide, long & level. Streets are designed for big rigs. There are 3 sewer hookups on each site in order to accommodate the placement of your rig's sewer connection. Good 50 amps and satellite friendly. We have been inside their cabins and they are very clean and well appointed. Wi-Fi is good. Very friendly & helpful personnel at check-in. We chose a back-in site for more privacy and they are angled and easy to access. We have been here before and were not disappointed this time. Stayed at this park before and was not disappointed again. This is a great park with lots to do both in the park and nearby. We used this park to visit all the monuments and towns in the area. This park has it all and would garner a 10 if the grass was not dead which made it look like a pasture. Even with the look of the grass, we will definitely stay here again as this in my opinion is the best RV park in the area. We camped at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Expensive but well worth it! Well maintained lots to do in warmer weather & convenient for Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, Deadwood and Crazy Horse monument. Huge pull thru's and a great fenced dog park (big area & split large and small). They are close to the highway but have a berm so you don't see or hear the traffic. A great place to base out of and a very beautiful park where you are not all jammed together. Shade trees are young though so expect full sun in summer. We stayed 6 nights for 290 ish. They do have fire rings throughout but not every site has their own.

Check out town of Deadwood for bars / reataurants and there is the start of a rail trail in town.
