We arrived in Sturgis, SD on May 1. 2017 and have spent our time living in The Black Hills at No Name City - until the end of this October. The owners have made us feel like family from the first moment we arrived. Whether personally delivering UPS packages directly to our motor-home door, keeping us informed of the week's activities or inviting us over for a cold, adult beverage, we felt right at home and our business appreciated. Clean restrooms, organized laundry facilities and modern, easily accessible showers represent but a few of the many amenities located throughout No Name City. We enjoyed relaxing in the heated pool (as well as the hot tub), and travelers with kids should enjoy the mid RV Park playground. Located mere minutes from downtown Sturgis, access to all of The Black Hills starts one expressway exit away. Whether you're in town for the night, for the entire season, or looking to enjoy The Sturgis Bike Rally, you'll find the perfect spot to stay, right here, at No Name City RV Park & Luxury Cabins! We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Long level sites, excellent Wifi. No weekly or monthly rates. They advertise laundry, showers, heated pool and two hot tubs. We were there for three weeks in September and the pool, hot tubs, laundry and showers were all closed, so you are paying for services that are not available. Appears that after the Sturgis rally they shut everything down, yet their rates doesn't reflect reduced services. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We recently stayed one night at No Name. I was surprised that for Passport price at $27.00 there was no sewer. The dump station was on the wrong side and you had to go out the opposite direction to get to it. Very tight spots and cabin people parked on the road which made it difficult to get out. Would not stay here again. Manager was nice though. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The only man to die on the Lewis & Clark expedition is buried here, I would not recommend the L &C museum there.

Stayed overnight. Not recommend when its been raining because of mud; however, summer time would be a good time to stay. Sites close together but manageable. Lots of toys (suv's) and equipment laying around. Looks more like a home than a business; however, the Passport America rate makes this tolerable. Would not pay full price to stay here. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The office was closed on arrival, instructions were easily read - park and register when staff returned. The RV park is under new management, has been cleaned up and re-landscaped (according to the owner/manager). We were in the winter season so showers and washrooms were not open but the owner allowed us to use a staff washroom. Friendly interactions, but a bit pricey for the reduced services available in this 'off' season. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Last night we pulled into The No Name RV resort in Sturgis, S. Dakota. We found them through Passport America.I called and was told yes they honored PA and it would be $22.50 a night. When I checked in there was a $10 per kid charge, which she cut in half, but still! Then to top it off they didn't have a site with full hook ups and didn't offer us a discount for only having electric and water. Wont be staying here again and I wanted to let you all know about it too. If we hadn't been so ridiculously exhausted we would have left. Campground easy to find off the freeway. No one in the office so 9-year-old son of the owner directed me to any site to take. A lady in a trailer nearby (friend of the owner's mother) then took our money. Owners were out 4 wheeling somewhere. Site was nice, on grass and had two spots for sewer. Traffic from highway lasted all night which was to be expected but at about 6pm until 8:30pm we heard a golf cart and a noisy gas powered 4 wheel ATV driving fast all around the gravel roads of the campground. Turned out to be the owner's daughter and son! Owners never came to check on us and we never saw them, too bad because you would think they would welcome or at least check in on guests. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a medium size campground with cabins, not far off the highway and train tracks, but the noise was not bad. Easy to get in and out of, sites are kind of close, but pull-throughs are nice and long. We got here the Tuesday after the Rally so was quiet; fine with us. Pool area needs little work, but clean, laundry room looked fine, showers are behind the laundry little hard to find. They are usable and free, something you don't see often. Nice young family working hard here, to clean this park up, so if you're in the area stop by. My only bad comments, when I checked in I was not told the Internet password, had to go out of my way to find it out. Should have been told when I checked in, like when a campground gives a flier upon check in with rules, map of grounds, codes etc. They take Passport America so make sure and ask. FYI some GPS might give you the wrong exit so check their web. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Pull-thru lots a bit tight but long enough for our 40' RV and truck parked in front. The back-in sites appear to be back-to-back. Train tracks about 50 yards away but very few trains and they go slow. Interstate about 100 yards, but still an okay PPA park. Tons of channels on cable! No problems with the hookups. They have a pool, sauna, and hot tub but we didn't use them at all due to time of year. Black Forest National Cemetery is right up the road; about 6 miles to Sturgis. We would stay here again. Overall the campground needs a clean up. It is not dirty just not tidy. The pool is cloudy and needs maintenance, so are the 2 hot tubs. Sites are gravel and not level, no shade. We stayed here over a week (back-in sites) and were then told to move to another site as someone has reserved the site they have allotted to us. Also, the Wi-Fi was weird, have to reload the pages many times. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stopped here because it is an easy on/off I-90 and it is a Passport America campground. New owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Gave us a nice long pull through with 50 amps. Cable and Wi-Fi are very good and free. Only real concern was the distance between the electric/water hook up and the sewer. Had to keep adjusting where to park coach to reach both. Once we got that figured out, we were fine. There is some noise from the interstate and the railroad tracks, but not so much that we couldn't relax and enjoy the beautiful area. We would definitely return to this campground with the present owners. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here the second Sunday in September and the park was fairly empty. I chose this park for the 50% PPA rate because the pool was still open, and because it hadn't been reviewed in 2 years. This is a somewhat unusual RV park. There are a variety of different sized cabins as well as RV sites. Of the 38 RV sites listed, only 15 appear to be for transients. The rest are back-ins (some next to the office and others uphill from the transient area). Most of these sites have an RV of some type in them but there was no sign of any occupants. For us travelers, there are 6 very long pull-through FHU sites and 9 double pull-through W&E sites. There is no cable TV but all sites appear to be satellite friendly. The free WI-Fi worked well for us (probably because there were only 3 other transient RVs in the park). There is a pool, a playground, expensive laundry facility, and (without getting detailed) unusual bathroom facilities spread over two buildings. For those who are bothered by traffic noise, the sound of the I90 traffic is noticeable and fairly constant. This park was OK for our situation, but I can't imagine what it would be like with 100 RV and cabin customers in the park. I am not certain that we would stay here again. We camped at No Name City RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

I needed a place to stay and located this one on the Internet. I called ahead and they gave me better directions than my GPS did. Winter rates and only a couple other rigs there. The deer were all over. The hot tub was clean and really felt nice after the drive all day. A nice park in the winter, even in the snow. I will stay here again!
