Overall Rating:

A very quiet campground with occasional train traffic (averaged one or two per day) with some whistle blowing. Overall not really objectionable, but noticeable to a light sleeper. Main entrance road is gravel and a somewhat narrow two lanes. Gravel access roads in the interior (mostly single lane) with somewhat level gravel sites that could use a bit more gravel in places. Perhaps a bit smaller than typical site separation with struggling grass between the sites and a picnic table. Trees all around the perimeter of the campground along with some trees within the campground. Some puddling after a rainstorm, but no mud. Big rigs need to use extra caution on departure due to narrow access roads combined with utilities at the rear of the site across the road. It may be difficult to stay on the gravel making the turn out of the site. Power ok, water ok (70 psi), sewer ok. All utilities are towards the back of the site. Campground wifi had good signal and speed (but the campground was mostly empty at the time); Verizon 5 bars, good speed; TMobile 3 bars, good speed. No problem with satellite access except perhaps in parts of the A (southernmost) row. No recycling on site. Ok road bike riding around the town. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Would have given all stars but our site was full of dog poo and cigarette butts and the electrical hook up was melted. The owner said he pays someone to clean sites and to make sure hook ups are correct. Hopefully he will take care of it. The positive is that it is a very nice park and the gals on check in were very nice, friendly and funny. So pleasant after being on the road. There is also an awesome fenced in dog area that is maintained. We will definitely return to this park when in the area. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for 17 nights and have nothing but good things to say about it. It's not a fancy resort, it's in Wall for goodness sake, but for the type of campground it represents, they do a very good job. The owner was there much of the time, and refunded two weeks of our original one-month reservation without a fuss.

There's not a lot to do in Wall, and while the trip into Rapid City is doable, it gets tedious after a couple times. The park was quiet at night, we didn't hear trains after bedtime. In fact, they were pretty rare so maybe their schedule has something to do with the crops. We weren't bothered by freeway noise at all, and frequently slept with the windows open since the nights were beginning to cool as it got into September.

All-in-all a pretty nice place, we would not hesitate to stay here again when passing through. It is very convenient to the Badlands and the Grasslands, and the pool seemed to be a big hit with the youngsters. There's also a nice playground for the young ones. Huge grassy area toward the back for tenters, and some tent sites closer to the front with a covered pavilion. And the bathrooms were VERY clean (except for the mess made by other patrons).

Don't even think about the other RV park in town, we checked it out and it didn't have anything but a place to park your relatively small rig. We would not have fit there, but had no issues with our size at Sleepy Hollow. We had to request a fire pit after the ban was lifted, and the gal in the office brought one right over for us. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Wall is small enough that you can walk to everything. Grocery store less than a mile away, Wall drug is two blocks. Every trinket you could imagine (and some you probably can't), along with some interesting history and lots of photos. Worth a visit for the "backyard" alone.

I booked a week thinking it would take a while to explore the "Badlands," but twice around did it. After 4 nights it was too hot to ride my motorcycle so I inquired about a refund on my unused nights. I was granted two out of three, even though I was out an hour before checkout time this morning. Issues: States "Cable TV." Apparently at select sites - not mine. Nor sewer. The water flow was a trickle so I used my onboard tank and pump. The garbage containers and dumpster were overflowing and no one seemed concerned. I reported a water leak at an adjacent site occupied by a full timer who just didn't care I guess, and was never even thanked for my effort. Aside from all of this, when I went to use the dump station it immediately overflowed - on the black tank. When that eventually trickled down into the system same with the grey tank. Unsanitary and probably illegal. Biggest resentment was not refunding me all 3 nights but it was worth it just to get out of there. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived without reservations on the weekend before the sturgis rally. They were pretty full but had spaces available and we took one. It was full hook up with only 30 amps but the power was good and clean and the water pressure was strong as well. The sewer was laid out perfectly to reach with no issues. The people in the office were their usual cheerful selves. We have stayed here before and will stay again. It is walking distance to wall Drug and the shops on the main drag. They had a nice doggy run but we did not need it this time as our last pup passed a few months ago. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

One-night stay (7-10) with very little shade. Older RV park within walking distance to Wall Drug. Trash dumpster was overflowing after a busy weekend. Good stopover park. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The tent sites were good size and the restrooms were very clean. Lady in the office was nice. We originally made reservations for 2 nights. There was a burn ban so we could not have a campfire and went to bed early. There are grain elevators next to the campground. All night-all you can hear are the semi trucks and the train. All night- the train whistle was blowing. Everyone in the camp was so irritated because nobody got any sleep at all. We were supposed to have electric at our site and it did not work. Unfortunately we did not check it until about 8 PM and the office was closed. When we left at 10:00 AM the next morning, the office was still closed. We could not take another night of the noise so we packed our stuff a day early and left for other lodging. The campground is nice, but the noise is terrible. I must say this camp ground is much nicer than the one a block away. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Tent.

Not a pretty park especially with the trash full to overflowing upon arrival. Other than that is an ok place to stay with a very short walk to Wall Drug and not far from the Badlands. The very large dog park was well used by many and us. There is a pretty grassy area that is quite large I believe used for tent camping, but, nice to take a walk through. All sites are pull through. Wi-fi was excellent, the best we have had this trip. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a fairly large park in Wall This RV park is only a block or two from Wall Drug so convenient to walk there. We were here for only one night, park was quiet, sites were adequate. There was a very small swimming pool. Staff was helpful and friendly. Wifi and cable TV were both good. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very good park with all pull-throughs. Everything worked well. Long enough gravel sites. Cable TV was available for a small extra charge. It's an easy walk to the main street of Wall and Wall Drug. Lots of souvenier and T-shirt shops if you like that kind of thing. It's a good base for exploring the Badlands. This is our second time staying here, and would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The main drawback to this park is the appearance. Landscaping is shabby and there are several run-down trailers on site. Trash was overflowing from the dumpster. That is why I give the 6 rating. However, getting over that the park has much to offer. Pros: a block walking distance to Wall Drug. Closest park to Badlands National Park. Excellent hook-ups, best wi-if we've found in a long time. Very large grass fenced in dog park. Our golden retriever played with so many big dogs there. Easy access off I-80. I would stay here again. Just don't expect beauty when you pull in. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.
