Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $19.00
GPS coordinates are: 17.98222N, 93.04611W. This is a balneario (swimming resort) with RV spaces. We loved the swimming pool, water slide, and tight-rope across the pool. Not all the attractions are open during the winter, but we were able to use the main pool and water slide. The water park bathrooms and showers (cold water only) are open all night for campers, although only the women’s side kept the lights on. The showers are open, without individual stalls. The park doesn’t officially offer Wi-Fi, but if you sit on the patio right outside the business office, you can use theirs. Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes were terrible and especially bad at night on the patio. The road coming into the park is a rough and narrow dirt lane, lined with small businesses and homes. Children came out and waved enthusiastically as our RV passed. Once in the park, the turns were a little tricky for a big rig. The park doesn’t have a dump station, but there’s an access hatch to the bathrooms’ septic tank that you can sort of back up to. Our rate was $230 pesos/night. We camped at Recreativo El Gordo y San Pancho in a Travel Trailer.Undo
