Bath house was in terrible shape. Broken toilet seats. Toilets were sized for pre-school kids. They advertise a view but camp sites are down in a bowl. Trash piles up at bath house and bath house is not clean. Long overdue for repairs and upkeep. If RV is low there is a drop off going from country road down into camping area and it will cause damage. Residential area and neighbors are not friendly. They drive by and yell insults into the camp ground. - rdean

You may need fifty feet of water hose and the same for television cable depending on the site you are assigned.
The site we were assigned was level which has been a rarity on our trip.
The staff are the most pleasant and accommodating that we have come along in a long time. They make you feel at home and do their best to run a top notch camper friendly campground. It is not about them, it is about you.
They ride around the campground quite a bit and are always picking up trash which is very nice. We camped here Labor Day weekend and they had different activities throughout the weekend, including free dogs and burgers on Sunday.
My wife attempted to feed the nanny goat but she wasn't having any of that business. I guess she isn't partial to carrots and cauliflower.
They have a nice pool and there is a bouncing pillow. Lots of things to do for the kiddies as well as the adults.
We definitely would return here. - Jackson W

Sights not very level, roads inside park could use some work, staff very friendly. Had pool problems, pool not operating. - Shocker

Not the best KOA, but not the worst. The campground is carved into a hillside, and our site was not very wide and not level. My front wheels were off the ground. Access is reasonable, if you don't mind hills. WiFi however was good. Owners and staff bring up the rating; very nice and friendly folks. - Voyageurs

This campground is owned and operated by a very nice couple. One amazing aspect was how quiet and open it was. Unlike other race week campgrounds around Bristol they do not double or triple up on the sites. The wide sites (35') were ample to spread out your outdoor furniture and awnings and still have room to park your car/truck. The rate charged was more than fair, and in fact was less than campgrounds closer in and provided more space with peace and quiet. We have already made reservations for both spring and fall races for the next two years. - nitewalk6

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rocky Top. We were there for the Story Telling Festival in nearby Joneborough, TN. The campground is well maintained...maybe not manicured, but extremely well kept. There has been a couple of comments about a bit of a hill as you enter the campground and I can tell you the hill is there, but deserves little or no comment. Anyone who is accustomed to handling an RV won't give it a second thought.
One thing I might mention is the bathhouse. We actually didn't use them, but I inspect bathrooms as a litmus test for campgrounds. Rocky Top has some of the nicest I've seen in a campground. Beautifully tiled with varnished cedar partitions...gorgeous and clean as a whistle.
We'll certainly stay here again. - Tcamperman

This was a great small park for a couple days stay in the area. The spot we had was large enough and even though we were semi-close to others it didn't feel like it because of they way they had the landscaping and terracing. The owners are really nice and it was very quiet there. The dog park was really small, but the location was good for us to get on and off the interstate to visit friends. There were some rv's and travel trailers that were there semi-permanently but they were fine and didn't detract from the appearance of the park. Owner was very friendly and helped others in our vicinity with some issues. Overall it was very pleasant. - slj

This is a great campground. Clean CG, paved inner roads, stone sites, great water pressure, great WiFi, 3 sewer connects at our site, good 50 amp. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We certainly will stay here again if in the area.
The only con was the CG exit, it comes out on a curve in the road so it is had to see on coming traffic in either direction. One of the staff people drove his golf cart up to the exit and stood across the street to wave us out when it was clear .... like I said Great Staff! - Russ G
