Friendly staff, very quiet at night. Good ATT. We had no trouble with satellite setup though others would. The big problem is they have no concept on how to place rigs. We had a 32' TT + truck. Had to place markers at rear of TT to make sure it wasn't hit and park truck at an odd angle. Two sites down from us was a much larger site where they put a pop-up (after we were already settled) that could have fit in ours with room to spare. There were quite a few others in the same situation. Someone said wifi was great. We have an external adapter and the wifi was very slow. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Did for some reason become more expensive than quoted at time of booking when we actually checked in (something about us having to have premium site due needing 50 amp & being over 40 foot) but that asides we found it a decent park. Weirdly lots of decrepit things around like abandoned go kart track, putt putt golf course in an abandoned baseball net etc but then at same time they appear to have built a few cabins and refurbished one set of bathrooms etc. upon reading about the park as it's obviously an older site, appears the family that own are embroiled in some kind of financial dispute that remains ongoing perhaps impacting maintenance etc. Gravel sites on offer so quite a lot of leveling required. Close enough to Neighbour's that you can end up w a bus full of campfire smoke if you forget to shut your windows! Chattanooga is relatively close by ($10 uber) which is great also. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Dishonest. Encouraged us to book an extra day just in case. Were told we would get our money back, twice. Would not do so when we left. Fine print on bottom of receipt says all sales final. Even though it was off season, put us in a narrow short lot with a trailer on either side of us. Trailer on backside had large camp fire going less than 8 feet from my unit. Thank goodness the wind was favorable and no damage to my camper. Asked what breed dog we had. Bulldog. 3rd day said we couldn't have it there. Started to load up to leave and they came back and said it was OK. Nice area and city and will go back but will never ever stay here. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Interior roads were packed gravel. Sites had level gravel/grass pads with good spacing and utilities placed at the back. At our site, the water spigot was tight against the power pedestal so I could not use my Y adapter. Others were not placed the same. Sites had a grassy area with picnic table and fire ring/grill. They have NO recycle container. There was no noise at all. WiFi coverage was excellent as was Verizon Cell coverage. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were very pleased with the park & staff. The only problem we had

was the site was not perfectly level, but were able to pull up on blocks

to level easily. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sites are crushed stone. Roads are crushed stone also and you can move around OK. You do drive through a small housing development to get to the park, so that can be a little unnerving. It is close enough to Chattanooga yet quiet. I would stay again. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed ten days in a 39' RV with family staying in Cabin #1. Site was level, water and electricity no problem. Site was a bit small, and was in what should have been the continuation of a roadway, so folks were frequently cutting through.

When we made reservations in October, they advertised go-karts, mini-golf and a clubhouse, the primary reasons we choose to go there with two young children. None of these amenities were available during our stay.

Office staff were unfriendly. I was clearly bothering her each time I went into the office, and she did as little as possible, all three times, to answer questions or help. This was especially irritating as they removed all the trash receptacles mid-week, without notice, and we didn't know what to do with our trash.

I would take my business elsewhere given an option. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Firewood is available at the ACE on the other side of US 24.

DO NOT attempt to take Cummings Hwy to avoid traffic on 24, it has low clearance tunnels, we had to turn around twice.

Friendly, concerned staff. There was a severe weather warning while we were there and the staff notified every camper that we should go to the nearby cave (walking distance) if necessary. Trash was picked up at the site often and the entire campground was clean. We used the laundry and found it clean and reasonable. Conveniently located to Lookout Mountain and downtown. Would definitely stay there again. Good value. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is under new management and it is a good thing as this campground need some TLC bad. Sites are gravel and very unlevel.
Cable needs updating as what is listed is not where it is suppose to be. Good for an overnighter only until they clean up the place. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Small campground near Ruby Falls and Rock City which was our primary reason for visit. Campground is right off I-24 with gravel roads. Sites are gravel, mostly level but very close. Lots of tents very few pull the us but can take big rigs. Turns are tight with front end brushing the Cedar trees. Staff is friendly. No dog run or walk area. Do not walk down entrance road as there are MANY large loose dogs. Good fitness center with treadmill, elliptical, free weights. Pool looked nice. Laundry not so good, 3
Washers and dryers with one dryer out of order and dryers take 45 min to dry. Small camp store and cavers on site. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Good park for families but if you want peace and quiet, go somewhere else. They allow campfires so expect to have smoke around you a lot. The staff doesn't seem to enforce the dog leash rules and some of the pet owner's don't clean up after their dogs. We will probably stay at another park during our next visit. This is a bigger campground than we usually like but we found it to be very nice. Check In went smoothly and the staff was great. Sites were a bit tight, probably due to the large amount of sites, but we couldn't find anything to complain about. I like when a campground has cabins and these were nice. We have family in the area and will definitely return. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground has lots of potential but seems to be neglected. Lots of junk outside the office area. The grass is unmowed (8-10" growth in most area) and hedges are overgrown. Only large grassy areas are mowed with tall grass left around picnic tables, fire rings, patio areas and occupied sites. Trees need trimming as limbs have grown over onto the sites, dragging the roof and scraping the sides of campers. Trash can placement is good but trash collection isn't timely or regular -- cans go overflowing for days. Lots of young staff around the office area. Sites and interior roads are gravel and level. Hookups are convenient except for overgrown grass around them. There is no campground lighting for night dog walks. Big black plastic rat trap boxes on several sites are certainly unwelcoming too. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Very efficient and courteous reservations and checkin. We actually had stayed a couple months ago as we have family which lives in Chattanooga and had had a good experience. We were put into #135 which was a nice end pull thru long enough to accommodate our 40 ft and tow. A wooden deck with table, along with a fire ring was furnished. The park was less busy than in June when a lot of school age guests were visiting. A few long term campers as well as overnight guests were present during our 3 night stay. We did not use the showers, but they were clean and could use some remodeling. A few washers/dryers. Several cabins which are spread throughout park. Plenty of space for big rigs and nice folks. We will stay here for our visits to Chattanooga. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
