Gated facility with a curious mix of seasonal, short term and long term campers. Very nice office. Beautiful lake. We will return. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This Park was 22 acres. Rv slot was right by the lake. Very well maintained. If you need to do laundry be prepared to drive a ways to it. All machines were in great working order. Very beautiful Park. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The office staff were very friendly and helpful. The sites were very large and new but the only reason I can't rate this park higher is because of the dust. All the roads are gravel but in great shape but the dust was massive. My coach and car was extremely nasty after traveling the roads to and from town. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is very large & spread out and the sites are about 1 mile from the office/check-in. Roads and most sites are all gravel and generate a lot of dust. You can rent a golf cart on site & you really need one to get around given how spread out everything is from the sites (bathhouse, laundry, pool, store, etc.). Gravel roads make it difficult to ride bikes. There is a very nice lake but no canoe/kayak rentals. There is a pool and it was clean. The pool furniture was old and all of the tables had missing or broken umbrellas. There are a lot of seasonal & full-time lots in various states of repair. Our site (347) was very spacious and level but had no shade, no grass or vegetation of any kind...think of the Flintstones & Bedrock. Some sites had fire pits, ours did not. The park itself is very clean & the people are friendly. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful, clean, peaceful park 10 minutes outside of Crossville. The only reason we didn't give it a 10 is because the majority of the temporary camping sites are a long 10-minute drive from the entrance. Big rig friendly - no problems getting our 43-foot 5th wheel in a back-in spot. All gravel roads & large campsites. Park is very large with mature trees & a large lake. Camp store is very well supplied with everything from food to bait to auto parts. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at Deer Run to attend a rally, and we liked it so much we stayed another week even though it seemed to rain most of the time we were there. The park is upgraded each year to accommodate the growing rallies, and we were in a site that had just been completed before the rains hit. We didn't have cable because they hadn't been able to finish that due to the weather, but we were so busy there wasn't much time for TV anyway. Sites are fairly easy to get into, and our group had HDTs and large full-time-living 5th wheels. There are pull-throughs and back-ins. The park is 200 acres and has its own lake. It's about 6 miles from the freeway and backs up to a wildife area, so it's quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms were spotless. The owner is fabulous, and treated us like old friends even though this was our first visit. There's a small store where you can get the basics, and she also serves pizza and sandwiches made to order. Some of the older sites up the hill had fire rings, ours did not but that could be because it was so new. We did have a brand-new picnic table. We loved it here, and will definitely stay again when we get the chance. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The buffet lunch or dinner at the Cumberland State Park restaurant was fabulous. Good home cooking, nice salad bar, delicious chocolate cake and other desserts. Check the menu online, it's a different set of choices for each day of the week, and reasonably priced.

This is a hard one for me to rate. The property and the lake are absolutely beautiful. The sites are very big. The hook ups are good, the cable is decent but the wifi does not work. My husband and I got one night with Passport America and that is reflected in my nightly rate. Check in went well at a store at the very front of the park. There is a secure gate and they give you a gate card to go in and out with a $10.00 refundable fee. This makes the park pretty safe for children. Once through the gate you drive about 1 mile though the dustiest roads to the sites. The section we stayed in was a loop. The inside sites are ALL gravel not a piece of grass in view. The outside sites are mostly gravel with a little grass here and there and woods behind. Basically it looks like a big parking lot which is sad because it could be a beautiful park. Too bad the sites weren't around the lake...that would have been incredible. For the bad...yes it is a large park and you would think it would be great for walking and biking. It is not. I went biking each day to the store and around the park. I stayed on the roads and because the park is so dusty every time a car or golf cart passed I got swamped in dust. I felt like Pig Pen my whole stay. It made a possible great ride very unenjoyable. Forget about our vehicle. We never left the park because it was so filthy. First thing we did was go to a car wash when we left. The laundry room is $1.50 per washer and $1.50 per dryer. The bathrooms looked clean but there is no A/C in either building. My husband caught one small fish on the lake. Anyway...what could have been an incredible park was not for us. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

What a lovely setting. Level site with lots of room. Close to beautiful lake. We could only use Passport America for one night but that's all we needed. Another campground in area was very limited on when you could use PA so we picked this one and glad we did. Helpful, friendly staff and locals. My only suggestion would be better signage within the park. It's very large and we were lost a couple of times. We will definitely return. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were able to use 2 discounts, 1 night Passport America and 2 nights Good Sams. The owners have made a number of improvements and added sites. The park is gated, was very clean and staff was helpful. Card to get in the gate is $10 but is refunded when card is returned. We stayed in site 131, which was very level and gave us a full view of the lake. We will be back. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our first time here ,won't be our last. Really enjoyed this place. There are on-going improvements that show the owners care about this place. We stayed on site 311 and it was great, plenty of shade and very level. All roads and sites are gravel, not a big deal, but was a little dusty due to no recent rains. Lake was great for kayaking, we borrowed our friends, but they have them to rent. Most all of the campground is level which is great for bike riding. Caught several fish from the lake, and they even had a fish fry for Father's day, that was free to all. I would recommend staying here to anyone that asks. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Take your bikes, kayaks, and fishing gear and relax. This place is 6 miles off the interstate yet you feel like it is 100 miles. Two exits down are all the mega marts and grocery chains if you need anything.

Construction in Progress! Owners should have called all campers checking in during week of Memorial Day Weekend that they still have construction going on new sites & pool not open due to leak. Lots of noise, dust & safety hazards....dump trucks, bobcats, loud beeping, tractors working throughout campground all day. One would think they would have finished before campers started arriving. Courtesy call/discounted rate would have been appreciated before checking in on a holiday weekend. Much rather camped somewhere else. We camped at Deer Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second time of staying at this park and we will be returning. Big sites, beautiful lake view, lots of deer and very quiet. Our site did have a huge hornets nest that was a little scary but they didn't bother us. Would give this park a 10 if there was a fenced in pet walk, definitely have the room to put in more than one.
