This campground has the most beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The access roads and sites can accommodate the largest rigs on the road. Our site had 2 sewer hookups depending on how you put your camper on the site. The staff and camp hosts are great. I wished I lived closer because I would definitely go there more often. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Follow their directions to exit 412 to avoid the traffic.

This is by far the nicest RV park we've stayed at in our 4 years of RVing. It is not cheap, but everything you could ask for. Sites are all concrete, large and level. WiFi is typically slow but all other utilities are good, although cable is limited. Park is on a hill and sites are terraced so you can see the lake from almost everywhere. Like all parks they ask you to pick up after your dog, but unlike most, they have cans for the poop bags and new bags. The pool is nice and there is a beach and dock along with a boat ramp. The bathrooms are all private and complete with shower, sink and toilet. Staff was very friendly upon checking in. Web site was great for making reservation and you could pick your site. We will definitely stay again. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have been here for six days now on site #175 which is a pull in site with a huge stone fireplace. Looking out over Douglas Lake and seeing the Smoky Mountains in the background is beautiful! All sites are paved with full hookups and 30/50 amp. Cable tv and WIFI included in the price. We got a pay for 6 get a free night price. Our site was $69 a night...... Beach area on the lake for swimming, with a huge floating trampoline and another in water inflatable. Also a large swimming pool with slide and a kiddie pool too. Large bathhouse with separate rooms with sink, shower, and toilets. laundry room is large also! Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Also has a dog run so you can let dogs off leash for a bit. There isn't really any shade as it's still a newer place, but tree's have been planted. Sites are all quite large, I believe 50' so lots of room. Overflow area for cars to park. Also have a boat ramp and a lot for trailers to be kept. Dock with jet ski ramps and boat slips for rent while there. We have enjoyed our stay here and don't really want to leave. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A beautiful park that is well developed with concrete sites and paved roads. Four levels of sites that provided beautiful views of Douglas Lake from your camping site. Great staff at check-in and campground host was very helpful since it was our first time at this great campground. A short drive to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quite. Not cheap but you pay for the quality of a great experience. We will return in the near future. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Here in early May, and it was steaming hot. All of the asphalt and pavement made it worse. View is nice, but we felt like we were broiling. Maybe better for a cooler time. Whole campground is terraced, and hilly. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This campground is a wonderful find. The lack of shade on a hot week is an issue but otherwise there is nothing that could really be improved. The staff is attentive and pick up the trash and keep the grounds well kept. This time we chose a signature site with a fireplace. It also was overlooking the lower area and you could look out any window on the side of the coach and see the lake. The campground was pretty empty but the power was strong for a hot day. WiFi went in and out but had good signal so it must be their provider or router. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The smokies are close as are the towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge too.

They have docks you can rent if you bring your boat and if not you can rent one just down the road.

This is a very nice well designed resort. It is worth the 5 mile drive down a 2 lane country road to get there. We stayed in a premium site, which is $69 a night. But with all the taxes and fees, the true cost was $80+. The only thing that would have made this park a 10 for me was if there was a hot tub and a workout room. The challenging part, if anything, is that most of the resort is built on terraced slopes so a lot of what you want to do is either up or down a pretty good grade. I would still highly recommend it though. I will stay here on my next trip through. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful campground with scenery that should be on postcards! Everything is clean and well kept! Owners and employees are super nice! This CG is as good as they get. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of good restaurants in the area. Short drive to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Smoky Mtns National Park.

Excellent CG in every way! This one beats Disney's Fort Wilderness or any ocean front site. Camped here in a Class C with view of Douglas lake from front of coach. The owner's have really put a lot of money and detail into planning this RV Resort. Hookups are well placed. I had no problem with the "Arizona" feel landscaping-just added to the neatness of everything. Can't wait to book a return visit. The office staff are Excellent, too! When word gets out about this "paradise in our back yard" it'll be hard to get a site! We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park on the lake with awesome pool. The sites are large and some premium sites have free standing large fireplaces. Gorgeous views from site 43. Only complaint is that most of the campground has zero trees and therefore no shade. Could be much more beautiful campground by either leaving trees when building grounds or planting trees if none were there. That's the reason I rated the park an 8. Would camp here again. This is the nicest campground we've ever stayed in! Beautiful views, large sites, all paved and concrete pads, beautiful fire pits and fireplaces on some sites. It's close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mtns. Some very good restaurants in the area. It's clean, spacious, and managed extremely well. Beautiful pool! I can't say enough good things about this place! We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is truly a resort. Many places claim resort in their name but this place really lives up to the title, with first class service and amazing views, sites, and amenities. All paved sites with great in-ground fire pits or above-ground stone fireplaces . The swimming pool was equipped with a great slide and bathrooms were individual "family style" rooms. Staff was very helpful and delivered firewood to site prior to our arrival. We can't wait to return here in the fall. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful and well-maintained RV resort. We stayed for a month and enjoyed our stay very much. All of the sites are ample sized and have great views of the mountains and Douglas Lake. When we first arrived we were assigned a site that was sloped too much for us to get our 45' motor home level. The owner accommodated us by allowing us to choose a site that worked for us. The staff is very friendly, the owner is always on site and he will do anything he can to make your stay enjoyable. The facilities are exceptional and everything is kept clean and inviting. We highly recommend Anchor Down and plan to go back next year for a month. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

All the glorious reviews are right. BUT, they have at least one very big problem... gnats. There is so many it is ridiculous! They need to spray, gnats can be a serious health hazard to people and pets. I had them in my coffee way too many times. Also, for some reason the concrete slabs are over-sloped. It was a close call getting level in our 40 ft motorhome. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.
