First we were happy we had a place to stay after a long drive. These sites are very close, I bumped my head on the rv next to us slide out while hooking up the utilities. All grass sites and not well marked. Our slide was close to our other neighbours grill. If that person hadn't moved their truck we would still be there as there would be no way to swing the back out without hitting it. Park was easy to get in and out of though. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Before I forget to mention it, there is EXCELLENT WiFi here, which doesn't happen in most RV parks. We stayed here 5 nights while visiting Nashville. The park is spacious, lots of sites, lots of trees and paved interior roads. Sites are gravel/grass and level. Sites have ground level wooden patio decks that we covered with our outside rug (worked great.) Hookups worked well, though sites are somewhat narrow, so hookups are close to neighbors, but on the other hand they are long enough to fit your RV and tow vehicle. Then again, depending on how people park those tow vehicles depended on whether your neighbors were asking (understandably) to move your tow vehicle so they could swing out upon checkout. The way out (around a couple of cabins) is tight, depending if the cabin renter decides to park their vehicle close to the cabin which then makes it tight for big rigs to get around. Yes, it's tight, but workable. The freeway noise is close and if that bugs you, reconsider. On the other hand, it's a comfy KOA close (but far enough away) from the Nashville hubbub. Staff here at the KOA is friendly and always willing to help. We'll stay here again. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We easily drove down to Opryland and parked at the Opry Mills (free) for the Grand Ole Opry. We parked in downtown Nashville (hint: park at the Music City Convention Center where parking is cheaper ($7 for 0-4 hours).

Stayed 1 night in pull thru section. narrow paved roads, gravel site level with a wooden patio deck and picnic table. Cable and WiFi were good. Lots of road noise. I-65 runs along back of park. Did not use any of the amenities. Pricey for 1 night and would not stay here again. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly. Park isn't big & there is a bit of noise from the interstate. Washrooms & showers were clean. Did not use the laundry facilities. Wifi worked great. Pet walk area is nice. A bit pricey for what they offer but that's how it is at most KOA's. We would stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

They have a shuttle into Nashville but we did not take advantage of that because we were only passing through for the night. No restaurants within walking distance of the park.

RVs are packed into this park like sardines. My kids complained that there wasn't enough room to run around because the sites are so close together. Lots of long term residents inhabit the park. On the other side of the RV park fence, there is an 'interesting' looking cut-rate motel and gas station. It's close to the interstate, so it worked for our one night stay, but that is about all I could recommend it for. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This is an older park recently having become a KOA. It appears that a lot of the park (and most of the 50A FHU sites) are long-term and/or seasonal. The sites used for overnight travelers are mostly 30A. And a lot of these overnight sites are of the "buddy-site" arrangement, with two RVs doors facing one another. Some parts of the park are more crowded than others, but in some areas it looks like nothing but wall to wall trucks when people are home in the evening.

As for the comments about the roads being narrow, IMO the roads really aren't all that narrow. They may "look" narrow but the turns are well laid out and maneuvering around the park is easy.

Verizon 4G was good, we were able to get satellite access from our site.

What isn't good about this park is the noise; the park has the worst road noise from I-65 that I have ever experienced. Our MH has dual pane windows and the temps were cold so our windows were closed at night so we didn't mind the noise that much, but with the windows open the noise is really annoying.

We had what was advertised as a pull-through. It was an "alongside the road" type of pull through, so sitting outside meant waving at people as they drove by. Furthermore, the park had an unadvertised overflow site that was directly in front of us. Unless vehicles in the overflow site were parked carefully, the ability to exit our site was seriously compromised.

The only real plus I can see with this park is that it is substantially cheaper than some of the other Nashville parks. Furthermore, they gave us a large discount for staying a week. Nashville doesn't have a lot of good RV parks, so this park will remain among our options but it will be our last resort if nothing else is available. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are planning to sightsee in Nashville, be sure to purchase the All Access Pass which gives you admission to four attractions of your choice at a cost of slightly more than two of them. The pass has to be purchased at the Nashville Visitor Center next to the Bridgestone Arena.

Regardless of whether or not you buy the pass, if you like music take the Hick Chicks pub crawl. It's a lot of fun and a bargain at $20 or one of the access pass tickets.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Park is dog friendly. Show tickets can be purchased in the office. There is also a daily shuttle to downtown Nashville that stops at the park. Grounds are neat and clean. Gravel sites are fairly level. Interior roads are black top, somewhat narrow, and some turns are tight. However, big rigs are able to navigate the park with out issue. Hook ups worked well, and there was very good water pressure. WiFi worked at an acceptable level. There is a very good selection of cable TV channels, but they are not HD. Cable did not have any program interruptions. during our stay. Pool seems small and there seems to be a nice playground for the kids. Road noise from I-65 may be an issue in some areas of the park. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

1st the good: it is located right off I-65 and the cable connection was new. That is it. The bad: Park was very, very crowded. Many rigs could not put out an awning. Can't believe how they jammed RVs in. Interior roads were old pavement and very narrow. Huge speed bumps. Muddy off the road. Dog walk was about 50' long and 4' wide along edge of creek. Off leash area was designed for chickens. Found employees filling propane while smoking! And you could smell propane everywhere. No place to unhook nor hookup. Getting out of park is difficult. Got a run down motel on one side, I-65 on one side, and 31W on another other. Traffic noise is awful. Had a premium site since had a "patio" made of fence boards. One of the worst parks we have been in over the past 7 years of traveling. And this was another name and just got a KOA franchise. Awful. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Motorhome.

If visiting Nashville try the KOA and Jellystone located on the east side of Nashville. They are big, clean, and well located. Don't forget to visit the Hermitage to the east.

We had asked for a pull through but when we got there, it was not wide enough for us and we felt trapped in-between sites (sort of buddy-sites face to face). And it was also not shaded enough. We did not like it at all and at the office, they were very nice and were able to give us something else that suited us better, even if back-in. It was better, shadier. Trail is ok. The dog park is smaller than it looked in pics and nees a bit of TLC. I tried taking my dogs into it but they got dirty and various leaves/dirt stucked their long hair. Roads are very narrow and it is tight driving in. Doable, but not fun. So overall, if you ask for a pull through be ready to love your neighbours. It can get pretty tight. OK for a night but I would not get in there for a week. Have not used facilities but shower since we were leaving the next morning. Our back-in is still very close to your next door neighbour but you can breath better than the pull throughs we've seen. It would not hurt to have some of the sites reorganized to give more space. We're no longer in the '70s with small trailers. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You can make arrangements to go to the Grand Ole Opry and be picked up right at the campgrounds. I suggest the Hop On Hop Off tour to see the sights in the city. Try to make reservations in advance for the Nash Trash tour. Due to our short stay, we were not able to do that one but it came highly recommended.

Campground is approximately 12 miles north of Nashville. Park staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area attractions. Campsite had a grassy area with a picnic table and cable TV. Restrooms and showers were clean. LP gas is available in park. Shuttle into Nashville stops at the campground. We had two RVs; one was a motorhome. Tips for other Campers:

Purchase Grand Ole Opry tickets ASAP; stars of the Grand Ole Opry perform every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday night. Parking downtown is reasonable and in walking distant of Nashville's Honky Tonk Highway, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Ryman Auditorium, Wild Horse Saloon, and much more. The famous Blue Café is very small and hard to find, but a must see if you are a "Nashville" fan. Take your time and enjoy the area.

My major compliant is that my RV was way too big for this park.

They knew the size when I made my reservation, yet took my money and accepted the reservation. Once I left the office and pulled into the park I was committed and couldn't turn around ,the road thru the was very narrow really couldn't adequately handle my size. My so called pull thru was a wide space on the left side of the road with a fence in front of me. I worried all nite if I would be able to make the turn to exit. If you a 40 foot rig stay away from this place . It's made for TTs and class Cs . I left at 6 AM so couldn't tell office what I thought of them. They have those white painted posts next to the road and I seen a few days later where my bay door scrapped one. Thank you KOA north for the reminder of your totally inadequate park. This is a family owned KOA and was exactly what I was looking for as to the location. It is approximately 20 minutes from Nashville which is plus (no city noise).

The staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. We arrived on a Thursday evening, and within the campsite, they were offering a country dinner with live music for 10.00. The atmosphere was one of welcome, relaxing and overall fun.

They do offer shuttle service to and from Nashville, eliminating the hassle of driving one's self.

My partner and I hope to return back to this area, and will stay at this KOA.

This park is very pet friendly. They offer a great dog trail or a fenced area for dogs as well. We camped at Nashville North KOA ( formerly Nashville Country RV Park) in a Motorhome.
