5 Parks near Henderson, Tennessee
Apr 2013 - $23.00
Goofiest campground I've seen. First loop read "Trailers only" so I went to the next loop. There the sign read "Horse trailers only" and so I continued on. The third camping area was for "Tenters only". Now I had ran out of campground loops. Went to the store and no one was there. Turned around and went all the way back to the "Trailers only" camp and after three spots found one fairly level. Later when the Ranger came by I explained what I went through. He agreed it was confusing, but "trailers" meant RV's also. He also said I needed to go a bit further past the store to find the ranger check-in station, although no signs to that effect were about. Since I was already set up he said just to come by in the morning and pay, which I did. The lady inside was at a complete loss as to how to input my stay into the computer since I was leaving. I left my $$ on the counter and wished her good luck. Bathroom/showers were well worn but usable. Oh the joys of camping. - Traveler John

This is the WORST State Park we have ever been in. Built many years ago, nothing has been done to the sites since, including cleaning. There are very few that will take a rig of more than 20 feet, and that will be very unlevel. There are a few pull-throughs on the right hand loop as you pull in. Note: DO NOT use left loop if you are more than 20 feet, as there is a very short and sharp gully that could result in high-siding. The Horse Campground is very nice - with all the amenities you miss in the regular area - but you must have a horse. The Rangers were indifferent and seldom seen, acting as if taking your money was too much effort. Take a miss on this, unless you feel you must play the Nicklaus golf course. And then stay somewhere else! - ccook
Jun 2008 - $20.00
We camp here often- it's very close to home. The addition this year of a camp host is certainly a nice touch. The bathrooms could use a little updating. There is not a great deal to do here, but a nice escape- very limited cell phone service, and data card connection is spotty at best. Will camp here again. - jmaddox
Sep 2015 - $15.00
Most sites are back-in. Shaded sites seem to be taken by seasonal resort members. Only a few antenna channels. No wifi in the campground but it is available at the clubhouse. Clubhouse also has Direct TV. All utilities are at the rear of the site. Some sites are FHU, others are W/E only. Good water pressure. Catch and release fishing. Good spacing between sites. Not a bad place to stay. I guess the owners have made a lot of improvements since the previous reviewers posted. - TH travelers
Sep 2015 - $15.00
I stayed two days at this Park using a Passport Rate.
I asked to be close to WiFi, so they stuck me in an area that had not been mowed or maintained for weeks. I checked the high grass for snakes.
I got PBS from Mississippi over the air, nothing else would stay tuned. The WIFI was 1 bar and faded around 8PM.
I made the mistake of eating some Asian Chicken Nuggets at their restaurant. They seemed tasty. They gave me diarrhea. I happened to glance in their kitchen as I was paying my bill. Fryer area was disgusting. I turned them into the state health department. That was before I got sick. - Author

Rate reflects Coast to Coast fee. The term "Resort" is a laugh. The young couple running the resort are trying to clean up the shabby grass and sites. A lot were long term people working a pipeline near by. The pool is great. There are many ATV trails and it looks like it would be a nice fall place with changing colors and they have hay rides in the fall. While there their sewer lines had crashed so no sewer hook up. Only one site with 50 amp. The dump station was trashy and hard to get to as the grass/weeds needed trimming around the dump site. This place has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work. No, we will not stay again. Also, a major hike to the dumpster to place trash. - dfw
Nov 2015 - $27.00
This is the second time we have stayed here in our motor home. Mostly permanent trailer homes. Very quiet at rear of park. Traffic noise at front.
Manager most obliging. Good laundry, TV room and pool. 50amp , water, and sewer. OK for large rigs.
Grass and gravel sites where permanent trailer homes had previously been.
Will stay again when passing through. - Kings USA Travels
Nov 2012 - $20.00
This is NOT an RV park. 90%+ are mobile homes and the layout is for mobile homes. Happens to be the only half way decent place in the area to stay. Overnight is OK but there it ends. Camped in a 42 foot towing a car - tough to get around - won't be back. - imanley
Oct 2009 - $18.00
Very nice owner. We called in advance and were assigned a site. Since we were arriving late for an overnight stay, he asked us to leave the payment in a drop box near the entrance on our way out. While not a destination park, this is a fine place to overnight: quiet and convenient to I-40 (only about 4 miles off the highway). Our only complaint is that the sites are set up for mobile homes, so the electric and water were on our curbside, and the sewer outlet was under the rig. Also, it has been raining, and the patio is on the wrong side for us also. - Ken and Lee
Apr 2016 - $30.00
We have stayed here before when passing through for the night. It was an OK place for one night. The price is now $30 and very run down. There are about 15 sites up front on asphalt. The sites are very close. I don't think I would be able to park my trailer between two other RV's and put the slide out. There were about 8 long term RV's in the front sights. We won't stay here again. - Traveller101
Apr 2016 - $30.00
This was a one night stop for us on our way to Nashville. The park is mostly long term residents with an asphalt parking lot at the front for transients to park. The spaces are very tight, but do have full hookups. The owner was very nice guiding us to the place he wanted us to park. The park is right off I-40 and easy to find. It was adequate for a one night stay. - HappiLeeRVing
Oct 2015 - $30.00
Picked this RV park for convenience and a review that said the WiFi was good...which was true! Owner was nice, no restrooms, and just a parking lot, but OK for overnight stay! - NFRS
Aug 2015 - $25.00
We have stopped at numerous other campgrounds in our many years of traveling. There is no positive way to describe this place. It is a true dump. Lots of seasonals, most of whom appeared to take care of their units. We very well may have been the only over night campers there. The entire campground is sorely lacking in maintenance. The sites have tree limbs and leaves in them, they are not level, and dead tree limbs are stacked up between sites. The roads are gravel and in poor shape with tree limbs hanging over them. The picnic table had moss growing on it. There was no sewage, WIFI or cable hookups, only water and electricity. A prior commenter said they were working the campground -- we didn't see any evidence of that. AVOID THIS PLACE IS OUR ADVICE. - Jackson W
Jul 2011 - $24.00
The park has been bought by a new couple, and they are trying to improve it. As of yet, they only have 30 AMP site but are upgrading some pull throughs to 50 AMP. The campground is clean and the people are very friendly. If you have a boat, this is a wonderful lake! We fished from our campsite and did well. If only they rented boat's this campground would be GREAT. - sandimal
Apr 2008 - $22.00
Stayed here on the way to Shiloh Battlefield. The pads were gravel but level. There were a number of seasonal but we were here on a Tuesday and not many were in the camp. There a a lot of lake side sites looking at a beautiful lake. It was quiet and restful. The office listed Tuesday and Wednesday as days it was closed. We registered by "after hours" envelopes. There is a marina here too. We will come again if ever in the area. No satellite for the trees and we could not pick up a signal with our aerial. Looking through the window the store looked nice. - FireFish
