Loretta Lynn's Ranch would be a great destination if all the advertised activities were actually offered. The campground is lovely, hilly and deeply shaded. It's about 2 miles down a steep hill from the campground to Western Town where the attractions are, not a comfortable walking distance in the summer heat. We didn't bring a tow vehicle and were counting on the advertised golf cart rentals to get around, but there are no carts. So we had to unplug our RV and drive down each day. A large camp store is on site, but it was not open Monday-Wednesday. The store hours are not posted so I don't know if that was normal or if the clerk just didn't show up for work. Campsites are open reservations, drive in and pick your spot. That's usually not an issue, except that when we vacated each morning to drive to Western Town we had to leave behind a pile of chairs to save our campsite. Hurricane Creek winds through the property and we were looking forward to a tube or canoe float, as advertised. But like the golf cart rental, none of these things were available. Making matters worse, the large inviting pool was padlocked shut during the week, although we saw swimmers when we pulled in Sunday night. While the campground was neat and tidy, the bath house was not so nice. Graffiti-filled walls, shabby showers, and broken air conditioning. The game room was a collection of out-of-order arcade machines. Even the two soda machines outside weren't working. We did enjoy the live music every night at the campground, and that gave us something to do in the evening as there are no over-the-air TV channels here. The Ranch's big signature event, amateur motor cross racing, is scheduled for early August. Maybe all the staff were busy prepping for that instead of taking care of the campground. Despite the disappointments, we had a good time at Loretta Lynn's Ranch and I'd consider returning when all the amenities are up and running. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Really nice park, but might not be for all rigs depending on occupancy rate. Sites are full hookup and reasonably spaced and paved (one section gravel) but some of the sites are less than level for some rigs. Really enjoyed the tours of Loretta Lynn's facilities and listening to her music. Park is woodsy but we got satellite OK. Phone service is really minimal, and no camp wi-fi. Our Verizon wi-fi was really weak, but that is not the campground's fault. They do not reserve by specific site so you can choose from the available ones that would fit your rig. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Definitely do the tour package of Loretta's home, coal mine simulation and original log cabin home, and the museum can consume your day if you want it to. All very well done.

Nice park for a destination, but an excellent value for early in the week overnight stop.

Clean, good facilities. Don't know what it would be like during a crowded season. Facilities might be stressed.

Will always stop here when traveling on I-40.

Very easy drive a few miles from I-40 to the park. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed on Stagecoach Hill, the full-hookup area of this sprawling RV park. We a big rig, the hill going up there is pretty steep for a short section. They don't reserve sites so you go in and find your own, which to a newcomer, was a little confusing getting the layout. The roads are very narrow and we had to maneuver our rig back and forth to get in onto the site, but once there, it was very pretty with lots of trees around. Many of the sites are not real level as the park is up on a hill. Most have asphalt pull thru and after the Coal Miner's Daughter cabin, continuing up the hill, the sites are unpaved. We were there for the concert weekend and everything was filled to capacity. If you camp near the General Store, you will have non-stop Loretta Lynn music playing in front of you on the speakers. We really enjoyed our site and the private patio and table adjacent to it, but noticed almost NO cell service. We use Verizon for our phones and nobody could call our phones and get through. Texts even went out sporadically. We could get emails on their WiFi most of the time, which is how we communicated. We went into Waverly, TN ((7 miles) to check our messages once in a while. We could also get a phone call to get out by the Museum area of the ranch. Waveryly has a WalMart and is a charming town with everything you might need. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Tour Loretta Lynn's museum and exhibits. The Mill is beautiful. Tickets for the tour were about $25 each and includes going through the replica of her home in Butcher Holler, her plantation house where some of the scenes from "Coal Miner's Daughter" were filmed, and the huge museums she has.

The grounds around the RV park are really nice, and the museum, house and other attractions fun to visit. I can't say much good about the park itself, though. I was in the 30 amp section, with no sewers. It is basically a huge grassy area with as many utility poles as they could squeeze in, without much thought to siting, traffic, leveling, etc. I luckily was there when the place was almost empty, and was able to get a level spot (as had two other folks) by driving in backwards to a site and using the utilities for the site next to me. I didn't see more than a handful of level sites, and the whole area was cut through with dried mud ruts and overgrown grass. The whole area smelled of horse manure, and there was a fly epidemic which kept me inside most of the time I was at the trailer. I suspect when the place is full, navigating through and parking could be serious issues, to say nothing of leveling. I walked through the 50 amp area, which was nicer in that there were actual pads and lots of trees, but the sites there were packed together, and again, not many of them were level. I enjoyed the afternoon I spent at the museum and other attractions, but would not return to camp at this place. There was no Verizon or AT&T, even with an amplifier. I was able to make calls on an Onstar phone. There is WiFi throughout the park, but it is of very poor quality. You will be able to get email, but not browse much. There is a nanny filter keeping people off many sites - including the Passport America site! We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here because of a sign we saw on the interstate and thought it would be fun. The camp sites are nice and long and with careful placement you can be level. Utilities are placed conveniently and the grounds are clean. There is lots to do and see on the ranch. We had some well placed trees that gave us shade most of the day. WiFi was non existent in our site. The staff was very friendly and the night we were there there was a movie night with free pop corn and drinks. The movie was Coal Miners Daughter. We would stay here again. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

One's rating for this park will depend on where you are. We stayed in the "medium rent" district, only water and electric, no sewer. Our back in site was on grass, level, close to the river, easy to enter and completely adequate. The sites in our area were close together but there were only three rigs within sight of us, none next to us. Staff was very pleasant except when I called to mention their WiFi didn't work. They were not concerned. And our Verizon phone service was very marginal. Our VZW broadband was very, very slow, when it did work. We went there to see the Ranch and did that. We probably will not have a need to return. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We spent almost a week here, and wish we could have stayed here longer. The property consists of around 3500 acres and is absolutely beautiful. We went on the full tour of the museums, home, coal mine, and the tour guide was beyond friendly, and made us feel right at home. Everyone at that ranch did. We were so relaxed there, and would definitely go back. They have sites for every type of camper and they aren't crammed in. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here one night. Beautiful park. Lots of trees. Most sites are very long and narrow. The first site I entered was a pull-through but not really. I have a 34 foot trailer and could not pull forward out of the site due to it being too narrow and trees on either side of the exit point. I had to back out and select another site. It was very long and narrow as well. The hookups were at the entry point to the site so they were only convenient for electrical because mine is at the rear. I needed an extension for the water hose and could not reach the sewer with my hose. The sites were not very well thought out as far as utilities. There was a rocky slope on one side of the site and I fell down it more than once as it was tricky footing and there was not enough room to walk on the pad with slides out. There was no cable and the Wi-Fi would not connect. For the price (which included the Good Sam discount) I expected cable and good Wi-Fi. It was fun to see Loretta Lynn's houses, the grist mill, and shops. Would stay here again but come prepared with sewer and water hose extensions. We could pick up a few local TV stations from Nashville. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful park. Sites are large and entire campground is very well maintained. We parked in an open field which was not very level but many other spots were available; we got in late and only stayed for one night so we weren't too choosy but could have had any one of many level, shaded spots if we had planned to stay longer. I called in advance and was told that the pull-through with FHU were only 50A electric. My truck camper is only 30A. She said we'd have to take a non-sewer site to get the 30A service. What?! Every campground in America has 30A available at a FHU! We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Truck Camper.

This is a beautiful campground but not one to spend a lot of time in unless you're into horses. No cable, no TV satellite signal, no Wi-Fi or ability to get signal for computer with USB key, and not much signal for cell phone. The water pressure was almost non-existent. The swimming pool was beautiful but not used much, perhaps because it was quite a walk down and back up the hill from the main campground. The signs on the door of the cafe located in the main campground advertised golf cart rentals but when we inquired about renting one we were told they were not renting golf carts this summer at all, even though the sign was still prominently displayed. A golf cart would have made it easier to use the pool. We did enjoy the tour of Loretta Lynn's plantation house, etc., but that only took about an hour and 45 minutes. I would not return except for a stopping-off overnight stay if we were traveling in that direction. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Camp sites not assigned so we could park anywhere. Sites were long and very narrow in a grass field. We had electrical problems that the staff ignored. The problems were on the Campground side. On check out, we reminded them again and were again "blown off". I would not stay here again as it is not a true RV park. It is a place to park RVs while they are attending events at the park. BEAUTIFUL Park! However, the attitude of the employees left a bit to be desired. This whole Loretta Lynn Ranch reeked of "Nickel and Dime" you to death. I will not be returning, as there are many other places just as nice, if not nicer, that do not stick it to you for every little thing. No Wi-Fi, and forget air cards working in this location. No cable, and your antenna will only pick up two station, maybe. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

I did not like the layout of this park. The sites were long enough, but very narrow. I also did not like the exit road from the site. It was steep and very winding. I would not stay here again. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.
