We stayed in lower area. W/E only. Grass site separated from gravel road by moderate ditch cut by recent heavy rains. Sites make you feel like sardines. Not enough room for slide on drivers side and awning on passenger side. Best thing about the site was its proximity to concert pavilion, which was the reason we were there. Next time we'll go for upper area with sewer. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Loretta Lynn Restaurant 6 miles away toward I-40. We've ate there about 3 times over the years. Buffet always has one or two excellent items with the rest being just adequate.

We pulled in to the office at Loretta Lynn's Ranch. Great spaces for parking big rigs at the office. However, going in for check-in took away the good first impression. The receptionist really had no time to deal with us. There were a couple of other people in the office that I guess she preferred to talk to. Just told us to "go up past the cemetery, turn left & find a space. I'm out of maps." No info, just be on your way. We did find the road past the cemetery & up to the rv park. The first section is sites that have concrete pads. Very narrow, very close spaces. We drove on barely making it past one big truck & found another section of sites. These are gravel but have full hookups and were fairly level. We got set up and were ready to go see more of the ranch & head out for dinner at a local spot. ATT worked fine where we were on the gravel sites. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Loved it. Nice sites, paved, pull-through, great value. Deck on our site was wonderful. My only complaint would be the state of the laundry! Absolutely appalling. Most of the washers were out of order, the ones working were rusty, dirty and very, very old. The laundry needs a full upgrade. I suggest you do not bother with laundry here. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

This has been the highlight of our cross-country trip. Real old-timey campground feel and the glimpse into Loretta Lynn's life was worth unhooking for the two mile trip. Gorgeous, peaceful grounds. Friendly, helpful host does the work of four people, doing hosting, ringing sales and cooking at the store as well as running night activities. (Hope she gets a raise). Yes, the sites are narrow and the winding roads even trickier, so you'll need to pick your site wisely. We chose Site 8 so we could back out instead of threading our way at a sharp angle through trees. Great family friendly camp with plenty for kids to do. You'll need to bring a 50 amp adapter or buy one at the camp store if you have a 30 amp rig. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I really wanted to rate this park higher but there are just too many small issues. for instance, the showers had plenty of water pressure and hot water, they were just so small. The changing area was only about 12" deep! There is plenty to see and do here but you better like your neighbors because they are close enough to borrow a cup of sugar from without ever leaving your unit. We stayed in the non-paved section and it was nice and quiet, unlike the main section so you have choices. The roads can be tight for bigger units, I saw plenty of people slow way down to make sure they were clearing the trees. The road out of the park is especially tight, winding and a pretty steep downhill. There was plenty of evidence where others had not paid enough attention to their unit and ran off the road. One big issue to be aware of, there seemed to be no 30 amp plugs anywhere in the park that we could find. Only 20 amp (which did not work at our site) and 50 amp. We went down to the office and bought an adapter (under $30) which I have wanted to get in the past so it was not a real inconvenience but be warned! Everything has a rustic feel to it but very well maintained and the grounds were kept very clean. The area the campground is in is very hilly so most sites had at least a little slope to them. Others had a lot of slope but every site seemed to have a flat area for your unit. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in the first campground area (there are a couple of them on the Ranch.) It was a pretty steep hill to get up to it, but the road is good. The front sites were paved, quite long, and many had private decks. The back sites were gravel and not as long. None of those appeared to have decks. The deck was nice, but the edges of the site had a big dropoff so we had to position the trailer just so in order to make sure we stepped out of our door onto the deck and not off the edge of the pad. Because this required us to pull so far forward in the site, we were then a long ways from the hookups which were all at the very end of the site pad. Others have said the laundry room wasn't great, but it seemed ok to me. I used 3 washing machines and 3 dryers - all worked fine. The wi-fi was good, but our Verizon and T-Mobile signals were both very poor. We had to drive 10 miles down the road toward I-40 in order to make a couple of important work phone calls one day. We needed to stay an extra day at the last minute due to flooding in the area where we were headed next, and they were very accommodating. Overall, it was a great place to stay (especially for the PA price) and I would stay here again. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived at Loretta's for a one-night stay on the road. It was recommended by friends who have property in the area, and that's where they stay while working on getting their own RV pad set up. It was pouring rain when we got there, and that really only stopped for a few minutes here and there. Because the park was fairly empty we were told we could pick any spot. We checked out the 50A sites up the hill, and it was SO tight we couldn't fit in any of the empty ones in the paved section, and we barely made it back out with all the tight turns - we had to go down a couple of the tiny roads the wrong way just to get out of there! We then went down to the lower section, where there are PLENTY of 30 Amp sites, and a few of those have 30 and 50, so we picked one (actually 3, and we parked sideways) that looked level and a bit higher so we wouldn't flood. It rained hard all night, we didn't even put the slides out, but we were comfy. The showers in the lower section reminded me of old girl scout camps - simple, large, and very clean. There were no hooks in the showers themselves, but a large dressing and changing area with long benches. It worked, since I was the only one there! The grounds are interesting, and we even got one good picture of the old mill when the rain stopped. They were hosting some kind of high school dance, since there were a lot of young people wearing formal attire and taking pictures during that brief respite. We could hear music playing from the open-air venue, which was also down in the lower section, but it was over by 10 pm and certainly not an issue. It was nice to see their support of the local youth. We would stay again if traveling through the area, but I'm guessing it's pretty busy when the weather is warmer. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take care in the upper section if you've got a big rig like ours. The lower section is wide open and easy to navigate. We had dinner at Sam's Diner in Waverly, about 9 miles away. The food was good, plentiful, and inexpensive, and they let you have soft-serve ice cream at the end of the meal. Quite a treat!

We stayed 2 nights in a full hookup site. I guess I didn't read their information carefully or just missed it but I was surprised that they didn't have 30 amp connections in the full hookup area. The camp host had very reasonably priced adapters. Our site was long enough that I could keep my truck attached. The site was not quite level, but not too bad either. We arrived after dark. I wouldn't recommend that. The roads are narrow and the signage is not the best I've seen. Once I made contact with the camp host I had to exit the campground and come back up the hill to our site. The exit road is particularly narrow and crooked with the light for the sign at the main road shining directly in one's eyes. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

First things first: if your coach doesn't have 50 amp service, make sure to have a 30 to 50 converter (sold at Walmarts). Spots are all 50 amp. We had to go buy one. Campground is very nice, plenty of places to walk. Someone said the internet didn't work well but we had no trouble. RV area with laundry and restrooms is very separate from the rest of the park. Really good, peaceful place to spend a few days. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

This place is beautiful and even thought we showed up at night there was a woman to help us out. Loretta Lynn actually lives on the property but she is touring now. Her place is amazing and the grounds are just spectacular. The only problem is that there is no designated dog run and the internet is TERRIBLE. Loretta Lynn's Ranch would be a great destination if all the advertised activities were actually offered. The campground is lovely, hilly and deeply shaded. It's about 2 miles down a steep hill from the campground to Western Town where the attractions are, not a comfortable walking distance in the summer heat. We didn't bring a tow vehicle and were counting on the advertised golf cart rentals to get around, but there are no carts. So we had to unplug our RV and drive down each day. A large camp store is on site, but it was not open Monday-Wednesday. The store hours are not posted so I don't know if that was normal or if the clerk just didn't show up for work. Campsites are open reservations, drive in and pick your spot. That's usually not an issue, except that when we vacated each morning to drive to Western Town we had to leave behind a pile of chairs to save our campsite. Hurricane Creek winds through the property and we were looking forward to a tube or canoe float, as advertised. But like the golf cart rental, none of these things were available. Making matters worse, the large inviting pool was padlocked shut during the week, although we saw swimmers when we pulled in Sunday night. While the campground was neat and tidy, the bath house was not so nice. Graffiti-filled walls, shabby showers, and broken air conditioning. The game room was a collection of out-of-order arcade machines. Even the two soda machines outside weren't working. We did enjoy the live music every night at the campground, and that gave us something to do in the evening as there are no over-the-air TV channels here. The Ranch's big signature event, amateur motor cross racing, is scheduled for early August. Maybe all the staff were busy prepping for that instead of taking care of the campground. Despite the disappointments, we had a good time at Loretta Lynn's Ranch and I'd consider returning when all the amenities are up and running. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Really nice park, but might not be for all rigs depending on occupancy rate. Sites are full hookup and reasonably spaced and paved (one section gravel) but some of the sites are less than level for some rigs. Really enjoyed the tours of Loretta Lynn's facilities and listening to her music. Park is woodsy but we got satellite OK. Phone service is really minimal, and no camp wi-fi. Our Verizon wi-fi was really weak, but that is not the campground's fault. They do not reserve by specific site so you can choose from the available ones that would fit your rig. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park for a destination, but an excellent value for early in the week overnight stop.

Clean, good facilities. Don't know what it would be like during a crowded season. Facilities might be stressed.

Will always stop here when traveling on I-40.

We stayed on Stagecoach Hill, the full-hookup area of this sprawling RV park. We a big rig, the hill going up there is pretty steep for a short section. They don't reserve sites so you go in and find your own, which to a newcomer, was a little confusing getting the layout. The roads are very narrow and we had to maneuver our rig back and forth to get in onto the site, but once there, it was very pretty with lots of trees around. Many of the sites are not real level as the park is up on a hill. Most have asphalt pull thru and after the Coal Miner's Daughter cabin, continuing up the hill, the sites are unpaved. We were there for the concert weekend and everything was filled to capacity. If you camp near the General Store, you will have non-stop Loretta Lynn music playing in front of you on the speakers. We really enjoyed our site and the private patio and table adjacent to it, but noticed almost NO cell service. We use Verizon for our phones and nobody could call our phones and get through. Texts even went out sporadically. We could get emails on their WiFi most of the time, which is how we communicated. We went into Waverly, TN ((7 miles) to check our messages once in a while. We could also get a phone call to get out by the Museum area of the ranch. Waveryly has a WalMart and is a charming town with everything you might need. We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Tour Loretta Lynn's museum and exhibits. The Mill is beautiful. Tickets for the tour were about $25 each and includes going through the replica of her home in Butcher Holler, her plantation house where some of the scenes from "Coal Miner's Daughter" were filmed, and the huge museums she has.

The grounds around the RV park are really nice, and the museum, house and other attractions fun to visit. I can't say much good about the park itself, though. I was in the 30 amp section, with no sewers. It is basically a huge grassy area with as many utility poles as they could squeeze in, without much thought to siting, traffic, leveling, etc. I luckily was there when the place was almost empty, and was able to get a level spot (as had two other folks) by driving in backwards to a site and using the utilities for the site next to me. I didn't see more than a handful of level sites, and the whole area was cut through with dried mud ruts and overgrown grass. The whole area smelled of horse manure, and there was a fly epidemic which kept me inside most of the time I was at the trailer. I suspect when the place is full, navigating through and parking could be serious issues, to say nothing of leveling. I walked through the 50 amp area, which was nicer in that there were actual pads and lots of trees, but the sites there were packed together, and again, not many of them were level. I enjoyed the afternoon I spent at the museum and other attractions, but would not return to camp at this place. There was no Verizon or AT&T, even with an amplifier. I was able to make calls on an Onstar phone. There is WiFi throughout the park, but it is of very poor quality. You will be able to get email, but not browse much. There is a nanny filter keeping people off many sites - including the Passport America site! We camped at Loretta Lynn's Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
