Pleasant little park on Nochucky River. Ours was a pull through with full hookups with a good view of the river. All utilities worked well including wifi. Check in staff was gruff. Entry is interesting. Only room for one rig and coming in you must maneuver around a building on the left and a fence on the right. Once in, you either stop in a flat area or park in the one lane road going down toward the river. As long as there is no other traffic, it is doable. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a gem in the rough. It's one of the two best campgrounds we've ever stayed at in our many years of camping. Don't let the entry area fool you, you are entering paradise. All the sites near the Nolichucky River are nice, but the ones right on the river are majestic. We sat from ours watching the rushing water go past along with quiet rafters and fisherman. The sites are large and shaded but you will need to disconnect your towed vehicle in advance. Sites are back-in. If you have a larger (over 37 ft) motorhome or trailer, be sure to let the owners know in advance to give you a site adequate for you. Registration must be done by phone and they didn't require a deposit. We were a little uncomfortable with that arrangement, but would go back again anytime now that we've stayed here once. There was a group in one section of the campground, but we never knew they were there. We talked to the owner and he said he is very careful on who stays and keeping the area quiet and clean. If you want to enjoy the sounds of the river or the wind or the birds singing, while enjoying a book or casting for fish, this is the place for you. Dont' drive fast when you get close to the campground or you may miss it. There is another campground called River's Edge nearby. But its worth the drive to Riverpark. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the oldest town in Tennessee, Johnsborough. There's lots of American history within the area if you want to leave the campground (which will be hard to do).

I concur with recent reviews. This is a small but great campground for a getaway. The park was immaculate and the owners were very visible working on upkeep. My only hesitation for this park would be for larger big rigs (40+) as it's a little bit tight to get in the entrance and down to the river sites. Several sites are big enough for any size rig. Satellite access is good for the pull-throughs, and they have cable if you can't get satellite. ATT signal was usable but weak. Verizon worked well. Park Wi-Fi was good but dropped off at times. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an exceptionally clean and well-maintained campground. It is also our ideal of a campground - it's quiet, sites are roomy, and we had one with full hook-ups right on the river. There are also no intrusive streetlights if you want to stargaze. Keep in mind, if you have kids, there is no pool and no playground. The few kids we saw were having a great time playing in the woods and riding bikes. We will definitely return often to this beautiful, restful place! We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

Very clean, well run campground that is generally very quiet. Wi-Fi is weak but functional. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Level sites with crushed stone, fire ring, and picnic table. Very convenient to Johnson City area and historic Jonesborough. Friendly, welcoming owners/operators. I would stay here again. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed on site 27 which is right on the Nolichucky. Very busy on the weekend with all the day use traffic but got very quiet by Monday. The river is drop dead georgeous and I saw some nice catfish being caught. Sites are a little tight, not as spacious as a state park but better than most private parks. Showers were very clean and private. Good satellite and cell reception. Erwin and Jonesboro ore very convenient and the Choo Choo Café in Erwin and the Main Street Diner in Jonesboro are worth a visit. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Except for very weak water pressure in the showers, this campground is perfect. Stayed for 2 week days before the weekend crowd and it was perfect. Site right on the river, fell asleep to the sound of rushing water. Cleanest restrooms I've ever seen in any campground. Will return as soon as possible. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

Would have given a 10 however: the quiet hours are not enforced. We had two nights where other campers were out past midnight with music, loud talking and laughing. The wife (owner) was very friendly and helpful, the husband (owner) was rude and grumpy. The park is in a beautiful location. Easy to maneuver our rig. We will come back to this campground again if we are ever in the area. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely riparian environment with lots of mature shade trees along the Nolichucky River. Very reasonable monthly rates for all except the “riverfront” sites. We chose #19 which is about 200 feet from the river. Level gravel spot, good strong electricity, and good water quality (about 50-60 ppm) and pressure about 50 psi. No regulator needed. Site had a picnic table and a little grass strip separating us from the neighboring space. No shade trees at this site but others had them. On weekends the park is very crowded with day users coming to run the rapids. So there’s a lot of traffic and increased noise levels. The laundry has two washers and two dryers which seemed to be sufficient; in the month we were there we never found them in use at the time we needed. Except for the weekends this park was mostly empty except for a dozen or so permanents. The only sound we heard was the river; traffic noise from the local highway in front did not reach us in our space. The only downside is the Wi-Fi. It is shut off for 30 minute periods at various hours of the day and is slow when it is running. Our ATT wireless service was a joke here, so this meant our work on the internet was continually disrupted - very frustrating. Cable television service was good with many channels. We would stay here again without hesitation, but next time we’ll bring a Verizon or other Wi-Fi service as backup. Owners operate the park and are extremely friendly and accommodating. We will return without hesitation in the future. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

Our recent stay was enhanced by the roaring river as it tumbles over the rocks. We stayed in site 34 and 33 over a five night stay along side of the Nolichucky River. Owners live on campground and were very helpful in making sure your stay is the best it can be. We will return you can bet on that! We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a river front site. It was breath taking! The restrooms and showers were spotless. My only complaint would be that in the women's showers, there were no benches or shelves to put your items on so I opted to use the shower in the fifth wheel. The laundry facility was very clean and operational as well. We will definitely return!!! We stayed here for 7 days to enjoy Bristol races about 40 minutes away. We stayed at this park for one night. It is located by a river and is very well maintained. The sites are gravel and of a good size. The location is beautiful and one can sit outside if the weather permits and enjoy the beautiful area around you. The Wi-Fi is at the office and works very well. The restrooms are immaculate and the laundry is also immaculate. The laundry is very reasonable with two washers and two dryers. The staff is very friendly. If I come back to this area I would like to stay here for several days. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our most favorite place to camp ever. It is a relaxing and peaceful piece of paradise. We try to go every 6 weeks from March through November. The river is amazing and very much enjoy the kayakers practicing in the rapid and the rafters finishing up their day on the river. Highly recommend Riverpark to anyone and everyone. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a lovely park--shady and very quiet. The April 2010 review was somewhat misleading--the public only has access across the river, not on the campground side. They are far enough away that there is no invasion of privacy! The staff constantly monitor the grounds, we never saw litter left anywhere. We have returned a second time to relax and enjoy this beautiful setting. We camped at Riverpark Campground in a Motorhome.
