The owners weren't there, but left a note on the office door that they were gone for the weekend. We left a check in the night slot. Large open field with numerous sites. We chose a pull through, all grass. Good water pressure & 50A service. We let our two Vizsla dogs run free in the large open area. Quiet. E-Z on/off Interstate. Peaceful. Great overnite stop. No wi fix or cable, but plenty of open sky for your satellite dish. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Many have commented how quiet Dumplin Valley is. Not so when their annual bluegrass festival is on. The place is packed & it is alive with the sounds of campers jamming playing bluegrass till way into the morning hours. A site needs to be booked almost a year in advance. The festival is that good. The day after the festival is over the ex dairy farm reverts back to its charming low key self, perfect to use as a base for exploring the area. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Interesting park. Basically an `open field with hook-ups. It is not a destination park but is in an excellent location to tour the surrounding area such as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The hosts are very friendly. We only stayed overnight but if we were in the area would love to stay again. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.

We stopped at Dumplin Valley RV for overnight during travel. As others have stated, easy on/off and easy to find off interstate. It really is a farm where they have installed hook-ups to accommodate hosting the September music festival. It was quiet and relaxing after a long drive. No picnic tables or fire pits... just a simple site. One interior road and you drive on grass to pull into your site. We enjoyed the pretty scenery and the quiet. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay if you want peace, quiet and countryside scenery. Very friendly owners. Close to highway 40 for easy on and off exit but no truck noise. Very level large pull thru with 50 amp electric. Would love to come back for their yearly bluegrass festival in September. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Laid back and low stress camping! Campground and facilities were very nice and clean and there is plenty of room to let kids or dogs run around. Great for an overnight stay or a longer visit to the Smokies. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Travel Trailer.

Great location just off of I-40 at exit 407; easy on and off. Nice grass sites with 50A FHP. Other alternatives are available. Will stay again as we visit family. Already planning a stay to include visits to Dollywood and Gatlinburg. Owners are great. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I think this would be a great place to camp for a few days if you were going to take the kids to Dollywood which is just a short drive away. This is the site for the annual Dumplin Valley Blue Grass Festival. The owner told me that they have about 170 campers at the park for about a week during the 3rd week in September

Glad you found us on your trip. We appreciate you taking time to post a review. You are right about this being a good base for doing Dollywood or any of the other nice attractions in this area. That's exactly what a lot of our campers do. Thanks for the review!

This is our second stay here at Dumplin Valley. The park is on a former farm with grass, pull thru sites and good utilities located about 1 1/4 miles from the interstate, so it is quiet. Plenty of open sky for dish and the owners are just wonderful. They have a bluegrass festival here in the fall. This park is a great alternative to the craziness and congestion of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Fifth Wheel.

A very basic park. Electric, water and sewer. Nothing else. The rv sits on chipped rock, the rest is grass. The owners are very friendly and nice. There is a ramada with tables and grill you can use. Not all sites have water and sewer and some have too much slope to be able to level an rv. The whole park is grass and looks nice and neat. Many of the sites are not rented except during a music festival held here in Sept. if you are not looking for a destination park and do not need other facilities this place will fill your needs. We would definately stay here again. The price seems high for what is provided. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.

Thanks for the review. We are glad you had a good stay. I would like to point out that all of our sites have electric/water and 20-25 have sewer, also. And although we don't have all the amenities of larger parks, we strive to be a park where you can relax away from the hustle & bustle and a good spot to enjoy overnight camping during your travels. Many people have found that a refreshing break and we have now become a destination for some of those folks. We hope you will find us again on your way through Kodak & Dumplin Valley. Thanks.

About 25 miles north of Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Great place to stay to avoid crowds, traffic and higher prices of RV parks closer to the action. A large field with many sites. A nice section of pull-thrus with FHU 50 amp and level. Wide open with no shade, but great for satellite reception. No wi-fi. Quiet and pretty scenery. Good overnight stop just off I-40. Owner is very nice. There is almost no shade so if you use a satellite dish it should be no problem. All sites are grass and require some leveling. Had a problem with the circuit breaker tripping but the owner was quick to replace it. 50 amp sites are limited. Most sites are 30 amp only. The campground is set up mainly for their annual bluegrass festival which is held the middle of September. We camped at Dumplin Valley RV in a Motorhome.
