Lovely, shady KOA with lots of concrete paved sites. Some sites had gravel. Our site right by dog park with lots of agility equipment. RV park clean with friendly, attentive staff. Beautifully decorated for Halloween. Near restaurants and shopping in Manchester. Convenient for travel near I-75. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

If you are one of those people who requires absolute quiet, drive on by (the campground is located parallel to busy Interstate 24). If you are looking for an inexpensive overnight stop, drive on by. This is a multi-faceted recreational park. The campground was gaily decked out for Halloween as we were escorted to our campsite. There are significant amenities here for families, tent campers, cabin guests and RV'ers. Firewood sales, propane sales, movie nights, bouncy house, tricycle track, fishing pond, two large tee pees with group pavilion, two amenity levels of cabins, a train ride for kiddos, camp store and gift shop. RV sites range from simple gravel pull-throughs to concrete pads with elaborate patios. Water pressure was strong & reliable. Park Wi-Fi was strong. Restrooms, showers and laundry were immaculate. The park is nicely forested and shade is abundant. These niceties are not free, but since we didn't use most of them, $52.87 per night for a simple gravel campsite was not a compelling value. Other observations: a single dumpster for the entire park; pull-through site at #12 was not level, cable TV picture quality was poor, and utilities location was far apart. Management was friendly. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Food, fuel and shopping is nearby. The tour of Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg was very much worth our time and money-the most fun, friendly and expertly executed public tour we have ever experienced!

We spent three nights at the Manchester KOA, starting on July 4th. Very nice KOA, with excellent pool facilities and excellent maintenance. Our site was a deluxe pull though with a concrete pad and patio, with wrought iron picnic table and chairs. Sites were close together, and the park was crowded for the holiday. The concrete slab was near level, with only minimal leveling required. All utilities worked well. Trash pickup at your site by KOA staff. Good place to stay, a bit on the pricey side. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Warning to Dog Owners or anyone concerned about their safety around dogs at this campground. I've stayed here many times. The campgrounds are relatively clean, showers are acceptable and the sites are spaced at what I would say is "average". A good overnight on your way somewhere type KOA.

What was not OK or acceptable was how they enforce their safety with regard to dogs. An unleashed Pit Bull ran from another site and started attacking my dog. Person identifying himself as the campground owner called the police and said "don't thank me, I called the police on YOU". It was because I was screaming. You see, he wasn't concerned that the Pit wasn't on a leash, or that they had no paperwork documenting vaccination, as KOA says they require. I told him the Pit wasn't leashed, and that the owner had no paperwork for vaccinations as my dog was bleeding from the attack, and asked him why I was the problem. He replied, "yeah, we require that stuff, but if she doesn't have it, what do you want me to do?" Direct Quote.

Stay here if you must, but under no circumstances should you believe your safety is any of their concern. I will not stay here again. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed in this KOA for 4 days in June 2018. This is very close to the interstate with easy access. The campground was nice and clean with many activities for kids and adults. Close to a lot of eating options. All hookups worked well. Water pressure was in the mid 40s. We had a deluxe site which was easy to get in and out of and the hook ups were close and maintained. Really no complaints about this campground. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

My review is heavily biased due to the site we had (34). To begin the review, if you are arriving in a motorhome and pull up to the painted spots, be careful when you open the door. They have placed concrete cylinders along the edge to insure you will damage your vehicle before going on the grass. On top of each cylinder is a concrete flower pot. This means that if you miss the cylinders you might (as my wife did) ding your door when you open it. The person greeting us was very pleasant and promptly checked us in and called someone to escort us to our site. Since we were towing and just stopping for the night, we had to pull ALL the way forward in the site in order to get our tow out of the way. This resulted in the front of the coach being at least a foot higher than the rear and required much cribbing and trail and error to get level. Our site was large gravel. However, we were surrounded by sites that were concrete pads and the slope of the terrain is very evident. Many of the sites located in lower numbers were either paved or in a flat area of the CG. Overall the park seems well maintained and is very well located to get on and off I24. This also means you will hear the thruway all the time you are there. The cable is very good but the WiFi is slower than bulk mail! We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed 1 travel night. Very nice overall. Just off of I-24. Site was premium with wide concrete pad so door steps extended onto concrete. Park had a hot tub (portable) that was clean and water kept spa hot! The grounds were very well kept and clean including the bathhouse. Helpful staff. The only downside was the highway noise from adjoining I-24 when outside on patio but not overly noticeable when inside RV. Would definitely stay here again! Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight and found the KOA to be a good campground. The $49 rate (after KOA discount and tax) for the cheapest gravel site seemed a bit high though. There were also larger concrete sites, and even a site with a fenced dog area. They have a lot of amenities which we didn't use (pool, outdoor movie screen, kids play equipment, etc.). The fenced dog park was small and packed full of agility ramps, tunnels, and obstacles, so we only spent two minutes there and opted to walk our dog down the dead-end road instead, which was fine. Our site was level and was a pretty decent size for a KOA, which often have really tight sites and pack people in. Site utilities worked fine, and even the free WiFi worked quite well (always a pleasant surprise). Our AT&T and Verizon hotspots both had good signal but both were a bit on the slow side. The main downside (apart from the price) is the noise from the interstate. As far as KOAs go, this one is pretty nice. We'd return for an overnight if it's along our path, but given the price, we likely will look around if we were to stay for a longer period. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Agree with the previous review: at $53 per night for their most basic pull-through is a lot of money HOWEVER this KOA is among the best we've stayed in. Scrupulously clean and immaculately kept. Pricier sites had concrete patios and patio furniture (even some tent sites had that!). All the amenities a family could want. Our pull-through site was bang-on level - no boards or blocks needed. I had advised them when I made the reservation that we would be pulling in after normal business hours. We arrived well after the office closed, maybe 9:30 CDT. I had no sooner gotten back in my truck with our map and instructions when the owner and his wife zoomed up in a golf cart. "Are you my late arrival?" Yep, and with that we were escorted to our site and given a quick orientation to bathhouses and showers, etc. And THAT, my friends, is how you take care of your customers! My only gripe - the sewer hook-up is illogically located along the site where the trailer tongue was. Would require a very long hose or several sections. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The owners have put a lot of money into hardscape. Many concrete level Pads with patios and wrought iron furniture. Portable hot tub was clean and nice. Pool was nice with slides for the kids. Trees all round with an enclosed pet area. This is our second stay here. The downside is it's near the highway. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

As KOA's go - this is better than most. The site spacing was good you could actually get a large motor home in there. All the sites are shaded so satellite service is not available. Water pressure was also very good. The only big downside is the pricing. $53 - even with KOA discount, is way out of line. And that was NOT their most expensive site.!! It was pouring rain almost the whole weekend we were there, so we didn't get to hang out and enjoy the amenities that the campground had. But everything was very tidy and well kept; and the staff were very friendly and helpful. With the pouring rain some of the sites didn't seem to have good drainage; our site was one that seemed to have a constant 1/4" of water over the gravel throughout the whole site. When we checked in, we thought the nightly rate was a bit high but we were more than happy to have paid that rate after we were guided to our site. We had a deluxe site which meant the site was concrete and level. We were instructed to unhook our tow because the pad was long enough for both the 45' Rv and tow. The park is well kept and is big rig friendly. We would definitely recommend this park to all campers as well as Class A RVs up to 45'. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.
