Very small RV park. It's an older park, so don't expect updated amenities. We have a 43' fifth wheel with 4 slides and it was a great little site for us, except that we couldn't put out our awnings when we had a neighbor one day. The bathhouse is older, but very well maintained. Laundry room had two washers/two dryers. They worked well, and THEY ARE FREE! The lake is really pretty, and they had paddle boats and kayaks available to rent for a really low fee. The owners were super nice. For GPS, use 6344 Kerrville-Rosemark Road to take you straight in; otherwise you'll end up on the other side of the lake at the railroad tracks. You'll be close to the airport, which is a plus or a minus depending on your outlook. - DaBlairs

This was a wonderful place to stay. We had trouble with the breaker popping. We mentioned it to camp host late afternoon and MWR was there next morning to replace breaker. Very tight entrance. If towing a vehicle, I would recommend disconnecting prior to entering the base. We chose our site and went to office MWR (not on property) paid and then brought in our RV. Very tight getting into base. We would stay there again, plenty of space between spots and surrounded by woods on three sides. On Friday night we even saw about 10 deer romping around in an open field! - Barbara Wimer

This park is laid out like 3 wagon wheels and, as a result, has plenty of room. No crowding at all. It is surrounded on 3 sides by woods allowing for quiet and privacy. Each pad is concrete and wide enough for a small patio and walkway. The roads and circular area in the center of the wagon wheel are all asphalt. The parking for your tow vehicle or toad is great! Again, because of the wagon wheel configuration, you have excessive parking area in front of the RV without being in anybody's way. Each site has full hookup and most have open sky for great satellite reception. There are also sites with shade trees. There is free laundry - nice and clean with a TV, desk, couch, chair, etc. in the room for comfort. That is also where the showers are. My husband said the men's shower wasn't too clean. The park is located just behind the commissary - within walking distance. The Exchange is nearby; it's a nice base. This has been a great RV park to spend the last 12 days and we wouldn't hesitate to come back. - jomark

Several cul-de-sacs (8 sites in each) make up the park, all back-in sites, and plenty of room to maneuver into your site, no matter which one you pick (you do not reserve a site number, you just choose an empty one). We also had a rental car for our stay and had room for our tow vehicle and the rental at our site. can't beat free laundry. restroom/shower was clean, but old and needed attention immediately - soft spots in the floor, the bathroom door fell off the hinges when I closed it. I was sweating the barriers at the gate getting on and off base, but taking it very slow was the way to go. We plan to come back later in the year, and won't hesitate to stay here. - DaBlairs

First of all, there are two types of campers. Those who camp and those who "tour." If you are of the latter, then this probably isn't the campground for you. If, however, you like "woodsy" outdoor rather primitive camping, then this is probably just down your alley.
It rained just before we arrived and the heavily wooded area held humidity like a rain forest (which mosquitoes love). The campsites are ample but not much room to roam around the camper, and many sites would not accommodate both slides and awnings. Paved portion accommodated the camper, tow vehicle and not much else. Side patio was black dirt and stayed moist/wet. There was a small concrete patio to the rear with picnic table, fire ring, also a grill. It is, however, well maintained, clean and quiet. Can't beat the price.
Hard to find even with GPS, and the roads to it (about 12 miles from Hwy 81) are narrow and curvy. We stayed over the fourth of July weekend and campground was only about 50% occupied. We counted 11 RV's and 12 tents. We have family in Atoka and this is the closest CG to them. We will probably stay here again but not in June/July/August. Fall would probably be nice. - hughdogg6
May 2017 - $24.00
The park itself was lovely. Spots were a little small, but we don't need much room. The hiking was great, and the service at the guest centers was wonderful. Disc golf was nice, and the campsite was clean. Our only complaint was the restroom. The stalls in the ladies room had no locks on them, so you had to hope no one tried your door. I was walked in on twice. They weren't clean and they were super hot. Not a fan. - Cschmied
Feb 2017 - $24.00
Very large park with lots of space for hiking. During off season there are no activities. There were some rehab animals out at the lake in pens. Campsite 25 was very large, but not enough room for camper and toad in same site. Asked at visitor center where to park. They said they weren't busy and park anywhere. Ended up grabbing another adjacent campsite. Park was nice, but seemed to be in state of disrepair, but being worked on. Picnic tables seemed brand new. If arriving at night and your first time there, grab a map. No arrows or signs in campground other than site numbers. We actually missed turn to campground and ended up taking a one way single lane road which was great fun at night with 35 foot trailer. Overall nice park other than driving through part of Memphis to get there. - Ruttiger
Oct 2018 - $26.00
Good overnight park. We stayed one night in our 36’ motor home. All sites are pull through sites, gravel but level. This is in the middle of a Mobile home park but does offer showers, pool and washer/dryers. We did not use any of these since we were staying overnight. - Cynlruss
Oct 2018 - $26.00
As stated in a previous review, this place is in the middle of a mobile home community. It’s a really quiet place. Nothing exciting, but just fine for an overnight stay. We would stay here again. - Clint's Travels
Oct 2017 - $28.00
I rated this campground back in October, 2014 and it was not very good; however, I have been staying here quite a number of times since then and I can truly say things have gotten better. Yes this is a campground in the middle of a trailer park but is it very quiet and safe. I have never has anything bothered or taken from the camper. The owners are doing their best to improve the campground by installing 50 amp electricity throughout the campground (use to have just a few), keeping the grounds in better shape, and keeping the bathrooms cleaner. When in the Memphis area (have family here), this is our place to stay. I would say it is the best in the Memphis area. There are still things that could be done but I am sure things will improve over the coming months. The pull thru sites are large enough to park your RV and tow. I camped here in a 5th wheel. - mrjenkins
Oct 2018 - $32.00
Would have given this higher rating except for the following: site was not very level and very close to the neighbor, pets were not picked up after in the grassy area between the campground and the farmers market, the showers were not clean. The campground hosts were very nice and friendly. The farmers market is within walking distance and very nice. There is no shade, but the electric and water were good. This is a good place for an overnighter. - Robin Florida
Sep 2018 - $28.00
We stayed here for 1 week to see Memphis and enjoy some music. Perfect place for this. Only about 20 minutes from Beale St. Easy in & easy out. Sites are long, very adequate for our 40' motor home, towed vehicle & motor cycle. Sites are a little narrow, but we had no difficulty putting out slides & awnings. Pads are hard gravel & level. Utilities all worked well. Good Verizon. Adjacent Farmers Market is open 6 days/week. Recycling available in Agricenter parking lot near campground. We would stay here again. - Biker2
Sep 2018 - $32.00
We stay here when visiting our friends in Memphis. The lack of amenities doesn't bother us because we spend most of our time at our friends house. This time we had site 1 so we only had a neighbor on one side and had a little grassy area on the other side. We've always had a level site. I have to agree with previous reviewers. The park could use some tlc and it is a mess when it rains. But it's a good price for a long pull through with full hook ups. - Patricia57
