Stayed in site on the lake and was fantastic. Plenty of room between sites with a concrete pad. Pool was good. A little small but very intimate. Very easy access and close to downtown Nashville. Would not recommend the bar/restaurant across the lake. Food was poor and cleanliness was awful. Would stay again without any hesitation. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I've been to. Level sites. There is a cliff on one side of the peninsula. Beautiful pool. There are no bad sites here. Takes 25 minutes to get downtown. There is a restaurant across the water at the marina that takes 5 mins to get to with not great food but an awesome view and atmosphere floating on the dock and frequent live music. It is pricey but worth it IMHO. Oh . . . Great WiFi too. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Travel Trailer.

New park with all concrete pads. Most are back in with 5 parallel parking sites. I had one of the parallel sites and it was all concrete with no grass for walking the dogs nor a good place to sit outside. While dogs are welcome there is no good place for them to walk or play. WiFi was ok but kept requiring sign on repeatedly. Cable was weak on many channels but seemed to improve over the weekend. Decent Verizon reception. About half the sites are seasonal but all campers were nice and sites neat so they enforce the rules for them. Restaurant at the marina across the water has loud music well into the evening. Could hear it inside our motorhome with AC running. Pool is small but very nice with good pavilion. Water temperature was perfect. Main focus of recreation is the lake and boating. Most of the back in sites backup to the lake. Nice if you have a unit with windows on the backside but not so nice for motorhomes. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

What a beautiful park... Outside of Nashville but its easy drive. Sites have lake views. Sites lean to driver side for rain runoff. Fire ring at each site along with picnic tables. Park on concrete with concrete patio. Nice pool with a great lounging area. Views are outstanding of the lake. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed four weeks in a "B" site (#17) and paid the monthly rate of $1,195 (for 28 nights it was $43/night) with no addl tax or fees. Reservations were made by telephone several months in advance but they do have an online reservation system in place. I found the phones were answered promptly and the staff always capable and super friendly. One half of the money was collected upfront at time of reservation. Easy on/off the 40 freeway. Tip - if you are coming from the 40 driving south, you do NOT want to turn where you see "Elm Hill Marina". You need to drive another .25 mile to "Safe Harbor at Elm Hill". Check in was easy and efficient. The office area is a bit quirky with a decorative "traffic" circle. There is sufficient room to park on the side before or after the circle in order to check-in and disconnect the toad (vehicles will have sufficient space to get around you). We loved our site which had a "front yard" on the driver's side with a nice amount of space between us and our neighbor and lake views from nearly every window. Sites are cement and level - most with a picnic table and fire ring. The office sells firewood. Roads are asphalt in excellent condition. We had a decent amount of rain and did not see any water pooling. The lake is beautiful and any site in the park will have a nice view. The overall park is generally clean although we did find (and dispose of) numerous cigarette butts and small trash/debris in our site (my pet peeve!). Neighbors were pleasant. Very quiet day and night. All hook-ups worked perfectly with strong 50amp power. Open sky for DirecTV signal. Verizon cell and Mifi worked well. CG wifi was hit or miss. They said it's a new system and they're working out the kinks. When it worked, it was excellent. I did not see any recycling. We enjoyed this park very much along with its proximity to all things Nashville. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Near the CG is a trailhead (and large dog park) for the fabulous Music City Bikeway. It's perfect for walking, running, dog-walking and cycling. Suggest Andrew Jackson's Hermitage and guided tour of Ryman Auditorium. It takes 30-45 minutes driving to downtown depending on traffic. Good food and custom cocktails can be had at Hemingways and Sinema (both in town). Or, stay local at Papa Turney's serving wonderful hospitality, excellent BBQ and live jazz. Take in a Nashville Sounds baseball game.

The park is only a couple of years old and physically is a very nice park. However, at the rates they're charging I would have expected better service. We arrived, checked in and went to our site (we were not escorted) to find the concrete pad full of tree limbs and broken branches. I got my blower and went to work to clear our space of limbs and branches (it looked like somebody had drove over them as many were broken up in to small pieces). Nice, wide, gentle slope for rain run off with nice hook ups. Each space has a built in fire pit on the corner of the slab and I noticed that ours was full of trash and debris of which some items were non-flammable. Had to clean the fire pit before we could use it. The next day, walking our dogs I noticed other fire pits also had trash and debris in them. I asked at the office about their workampers but she said they don't have workampers....just her and her husband. We stayed four nights in our 42' 5th wheel. We also noticed the trash can across from our space #99 was overflowed when we arrived and it wasn't dumped for the first two days. My wife said the laundry and the bathrooms were dirty....nobody checking them throughout the day. Just general lack of service......especially for being over priced like they are. Some sites had a nice table however, ours did not. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We went down to Broadway where all the country & western bars are at that many C&W stars got their start. Then we went over to Music Row. Both interesting. And of course we had to go see Rhyman Auditorium, home of the Grande Ol' Opry.

My family travel all over the country year round and decided to come back and see if things were better from the last time we stayed here but not only did the rates jump up to $95.00 a night for a lake front view but the cable and internet still didn't work the entire 4 days we were camping. The ladies in the office were apologetic as they were the last time but at that rate they charge this should be a "RESORT with AMENTITIES" not a place where internet and cable dont work. The owners/management seems to not have thier act together even after being open for almost two years. I think this place has a long way to go before it can be a true "RESORT". There was no trash pickup and the office doesnt open till 9 am and closes at 4 pm. What kind of hours are those for early checkout and late arrival? That is more like "bankers hours" not RV RESORT catering to needs of thier customers!! Great Lake views but not worth it..... Suggest money be spent elsewhere. This place has a lot of potential but also a lot to learn about "RV RESORTS" and the services a RESORT should have. Hope things get fixed soon! Tips for other Campers:

Try the Grand Old OPRY while in town and downtown 2nd avenue area for nightlife. There is a Cracker Barrell and Waffle House close by to the trailer park. There are several RV parks in Nashville for much lower price and reasonable price.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for two weeks. The weekly rate is a relatively good value when compared to the daily rate. We really wanted an "A Site" but, due to their being at peak occupancy, we ended up with 6 nights at an A Site (#13) and 8 nights at a D Site (#67). We were charged as if the entire stay was a D Site which was extremely nice of them. It's worth noting there is no tax added to the posted rates.

The reservation process is easy. They collect a 50% upfront deposit which is a bit steep. Check-in is fast and efficient. Staff is very friendly. We were able to have packages delivered. All hook-ups worked perfectly. We did not use CG wifi or cable so can't comment on that. Received satisfactory Verizon cell, Verizon Mifi and DirecTV signals. Trash is picked up at the site each morning.

Even though our D Site wasn't on the water, we still had lake views from nearly every window. We really love this campground; basically we love everything about it. Yes: turns can be tricky in a big rig but it's do-able. There are plenty of big rigs in here. The views are lovely and the location provides good access to all things Nashville (Grand Ole Opry, Hermitage, downtown, etc). This is our second stay and we're already talking about when we can go back.

Here is a tip if arriving for the first time. Assuming you are coming from the 40 on Bell Road, you will see a "Safe Harbor" sign on your left which is associated with the marina. The sign is white with a navy blue "S". This is NOT your turn. If you go another 1/4 mile, you'll see a second "Safe Harbor" sign which IS your turn. For the correct turn, you'll notice that the entrance road has an immediate (small) hill whereas the first turn into the marina is flat. If you see the small hill, you'll know that's your turn. Our Apple GPS had it right by directing us to the second/correct turn but, of course, you're always leery about passing an entrance by mistake. Hope that is useful. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Ryman Auditorium has an interesting history, cleverly produced intro movie and great displays with excellent explanations. We felt the extra expense was worthwhile for the guided tour but you will enjoy it either way. You can drive to the Music City Bikeway trailhead at the dam and ride for miles along the river with no cars. Alternatively you can walk/run/walk your dog on the path. There's a huge dog park there as well. It's fabulous. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Safe Harbor was fantastic. We chose this park due to the beautiful views and proximity to downtown Nashville. Our site was the most expensive 'site type' and while we loved it, it was a hefty price for us to pay. However, we do not regret our decision. The site we were on had a beautiful 360 degree view of the lake and felt large and private. The only dislike we had regarding the site was a large security light that was next to the site. Thankfully our camper blocked most of the light though. The 'parallel' sites seemed very odd and when we return, I will avoid booking those (unless it's site 14 and we're travelling with the folks on site 13). A few campsites looked 'messy' but overall most were presentable and the park is beautiful and clean. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again soon!! We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Travel Trailer.

Camped in a 35 foot 5th wheel w 3 slides. Back-in site 69 is level concrete with somewhat cramped parking for truck. No shade, small grass patch. Neighbors are close & to rear is a low stone retaining wall, above which is lane for the higher row of RV sites. Views of water from front; open picnic tables under trees near water. Lanes are paved & narrow. Laundry & shower (2 showers) houses are clean. Did not use pool, but appeared well maintained. Small playground. Good AT&T cell, WiFi, cable. Staff was pleasant. Noisy airport early morning; noisy bar music from across water Fri night. Lacks some of the incidental services one expects at an expensive park; e.g., TV listing, clear signage, camp store, 10 mph exceeded, etc. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Fifth Wheel.

This new resort was very beautiful with the lake visible from most sites. The staff was helpful and the campground was clean. We thought we had reserved a pull-thru but it turned out to be parallel parking next to a rock wall. We had to go all the way to the end and turn back to get to our site. Would have preferred an escort to find our site. There was no trash pick up at the sites. You have to walk or drive up the hill to the dumpster. Would stay there again in a different spot. Just needs a little tweaking to make it perfect. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

We are currently at this park for several days. The park is exceptionally clean with spectacular views. The wifi is strong, which is not usually the case at RV parks! The staff were very nice and friendly. The sites might be considered a little short, but they are double width and you have enough room to park beside your rig. The spaces are concrete and have nice metal picnic tables and stone fire circles at each site. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Travel Trailer.
