Great place to stop for the night. No frills here but it looks like the owner is making improvements. Nice, level, full hookup sites. Brand new laundry/shower/restrooms. Fast WIFI. Room to walk the dog. Everything we needed to wait out 2 rainy days. - CJVJn1Doug
Sep 2016 - $30.00
Big rig friendly with level sites. Traveled on I55 south and then I155 using our GPS. Then we had to take a ferry across the river. Suggest you check to see the difference if you stay on I55. Only bathroom and shower is in the office. Laundry was good. No dog park but grass to walk dog. Staff was very friendly. - Fulltimersrv

Good overnight stay. Convenient to highway. Would stay there again. Sites are decent with adequate room. Did not use the WiFi. Decent cell phone coverage. Surge protector would not turn on using the 50 amp connection but worked fine with the 30 amp connection. - wv2tx

We are full-timers and on the road. Pulled into Union City and planned on staying at this park. The park was full except for 1 site. Looked to be full of people living there. It is basically a parking lot, but would have been fine for an overnight stay. The 1 open site was already booked. This is the first time in 4 1/2 years of full-timing that we have ever stopped somewhere that had no site available. I wouldn't recommend stopping here unless you call ahead and reserve "if" there is anything available. - User2260

Nice clean campground. Sites are level, we stayed in 11; no need for leveling. Site was long enough for our 26 foot camper and our truck. - Joe Morris
Jul 2018 - $25.00
We stayed a week in a back in spot #8. It was paved and deep enough for our 32" MH and tow vehicle. We used it as a base camp to visit friends and see sights. We went to Discovery Park, a must see if you are in the area! It is quiet during the week and full on the weekends. We would stay again, when we are in the area. - NYParsels

This place is just beautiful. Our site was flooded from all the spring rain, but they gave us another one. You must read the history of how the lake was created! The park has such majestic views of the lake and the sunsets are awesome. There is much to do for the avid outdoors people. State Wildlife park, fishing, and hiking...to mention a few. The sites are staggered sites so you don't feel like you are on top of each other. The park was quiet and well kept. Park host has been here for 19 years and was very pleasant. Make sure you have reservations, this park fills fast. The bathhouse is clean with one washer and dryer. There are 30 & 50 amp hookups with water. No full hookups. Bottom line, a must stay. - catu-ualos

Rate reflects senior discount. There are two sides to this park, one is South Campground which is where the park offices are located. This side is Airpark, it is about 15 miles from the main park site. Airpark Campground has 14 campsites, all 30 amp with water. There is a dump station. There is a restroom and shower located in the old air field building, the restrooms were clean; we did not use the showers. Currently there is demolition of the old Airpark Inn and Restaurant going on so you have to come to the end of the paved road and use the dump site as an entrance and exit. The sites are level, spacious, gravel with nice patio areas. We were a little disappointed that on arrival, we found the fire ring to be so full of ash and trash, we filled a 13 gal trash bag to get it clean enough to use. The campground has 7 sites in each "loop". Airpark is very quiet, secluded. The campground has a lot of grass area for games and play. It is 10 miles to any services, gas, store, restaurant, etc. Bird watching is great; there were some rabbits and squirrels running around. There is a little trail that goes through the woods, some areas nearby to fish and a boat launch about ½ mile down the road. Very level for walking and biking. Staff was friendly and park was kept clean. We would stay here again. - Fixn2gocamp
