Although you are in the city of Pigeon Forge, this place feels like you're in the country. This is our 3rd stay here and we highly recommend it. The water pressure is great, no power fluctuations, no nearby trains or airports, and no road noise. There is a stream that runs by the park, so you have an abundance of ducks and some geese (who love to be fed), squirrels and other critters. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This campground is less than 20 minutes from Gatlinburg, within half a mile of the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and easy to navigate. They do fill up in the summer, so you definitely should make a reservation.

The RV sites are so close that our RV slide almost touched the awning of the camper behind us. No room to park your truck without it sticking out in the road slightly. Other campers were having to have other people move their trucks or golf carts just so they could pull out to leave. Also, manager was very rude. And many kids were running around lawless without parents watching them. The campground did not enforce their own rules. Would advise others to pay the extra to stay at a nicer campground. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Site lengths are not as advertised and ridiculously close together. I could walk out of my RV and within the next 5-6 steps touch my neighbor on either side. Golf cart rules are not enforced along with the 5 mph limit. Kids flying around on bikes unsupervised. We had no fire ring on our site. The grounds were not maintained at all. My neighbors water connection leaked at the handle the entire time causing a mudhole in our site. Calls to the front to report went unanswered. Friendly front desk until they have your money. After that forget it. They are very money oriented versus customer satisfaction. Very disappointing and will not stay there again. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have an A frame, pop-up camper. I was told, when making my reservation from home, I would get a discount of $9 from mentioning I saw this online, but the total was $49.+ including taxes. I thought it was increased by the slot we were in. A-43.. Anyhow, we were close to the highway and our first night was horrible from traffic noise. We kept our fan on after that. Noise on noise... It was close to all main sites and that was good. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We usually stay at another campground (that we like much better) when we are in the area, but they were full. We got one of the few remaining sites in this CG. The office staff was courteous, but not overly friendly (we checked in while one of them was eating lunch at her desk). Check in was fairly easy and our site was easy to find, as it was a few sites behind the office. We were in the middle of a bunch of permanents who had golf carts, multiple cars, full sized home refrigerators outside the unit, tarps and home built additions. The first thing we noticed was the rules said no pet fences, yet they were all around us. Our site was the smallest I've ever stayed in (40 yrs. camping) and forget privacy. CG was very clean and was maintained OK. Hopefully, next trip, we can make reservations at our regular CG earlier and will go back there. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We like the Flea Market (out by I-40) on weekends. We usually spend one day shopping/exploring Pigeon Forge, followed by a day in Gatlinburg and one day in the mountains. After that, we're just "spending money uselessly!"

Third time here. Best CG we've found in Pigeon Forge. Quiet, well kept. Pigeon Forge Trolley stops in CG. Very busy this weekend because of Rod Run in town so well planned reservations are recommended during events. Close to main strip in town. Add about $2-3 per night for local taxes. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Pigeon Forge is full of touristy type of things and shopping. Traffic is usually bumper to bumper so allow extra time for navigating through the Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg area.

Crowded when we were there. Leaf Peepers in the Smokey Mountans I think. In calling around for reservation, Clabough's had the only open spot I found in Pigeon Forge. Not the spot I wanted but OK anyhow. Have stayed there before and liked it better because of site location. We were in a permanent resident section this trip. Staff was helpful and friendly. One of the workers even offered to take me around CG in his golf cart as I searched for a specific item. Site parking was tight for tow vehicle, had to be very careful to get pickup off the road. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg & Sevierville are always bad for traffic, Mid-October seems to we even worse because of people looking for turning leaves. We went to Dixie Stampede first time in many years. Good show, great food. Had a 6 scoop banana split at Mel's Diner on Wears Valley Road. it fed 4 people. Was good. "The Island" in Pigeon Forge is mostly tourist trap type shops but the Dancing Waters fountain was spectacular.

This is the best campground that we've ever stayed at. They have so much to offer. They have two swimming pools and a lazy river that is included at no extra charge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a store and deli. Also have an ice cream shop. They have a well stocked rv supply section. If you need help with your camper their staff is willing to help you fix it. They are very knowledgeable. There is also a creek for fishing. The facilities were very clean. They have on site laundry. You can even rent a golfcart by the day or week. We rented a golf cart and picked it up at the store. They have nice cabins to rent also. The sites were spacious. I definitely plan to stay there again. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I know the campgrounds in the area are all crowded with little space, but this is unlike any campground we have ever been in. We make yearly trips to the area, but this is the first time we have ever stayed in this particular campground. To say it was crowded is a huge understatement. The spaces were cramped with many sites having permanent storage units and other structures. Golf carts were everywhere! Never, never again! We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I have mixed feelings about this park. This would have been a 4/10 if it were not for amenities. I'm going to give it one more try and pick another site. PRO: Very reasonable price for full hookup including cable,; lots of amenities (3 pools, arcade, playground) and good for families of all ages; excellent placement in middle of Pigeon Forge strip but away from noise and traffic; clean bathrooms; convenient store that is not overpriced with some useful RV stuff as well. CON: Wi-Fi barely worked if it did at all; runoff is a problem here (your site could be a river if it rains); front staff not so friendly; sites are very hit and miss - too small, bad condition, no firepit, unable to open awning. Pools were not that clean. BIG CON: I don't mind permanent residents but there were A LOT here. When you can have window A/C units hanging out, permanent rubber sheds attached to your RV, large wooden decks, full size fridges outside your RV, and run down RVs not kept up - it takes away the camping feeling. We are going to try one more time in a different site to see if we have a better experience. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great location! Trolley service to multiple area attractions. We had a nice shaded pull through site. There are a number of full-timers living here but not a problem and folks were friendly. Staff was kind and there are many services and supplies available. We would stay here again. Stayed 4 nights on our way to Asheville, NC. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice campground for families with children. The site was gravel but level. Sites are close together but that is common in Pigeon Forge. Very nice snack bar/camp store with hand dipped ice cream. Cable, Wi-Fi, and cell service (AT&T) all worked well. Bathrooms were older design, but clean. Would stay here again. We camped at Clabough's Campground in a Motorhome.

This is great campground and good location. The bath houses were clean and plenty of room in showers and toilets. The owners kept campground very clean. If you need any supplies or something to eat, it's all at campground. You are only .4 of a mile from main strip, so if you don't want to drive you can walk to everything.
