the owners are always on site and take great care of this park. It is not a large RV park, but is one of the best. We love to stay here, it is close to everything, but off the road enough that you don't get a lot of noise. Most of the sites have some shade. Super clean restrooms and laundry. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

You are on the trolley route, close to everything. Traffic on the parkway gets kind of busy during the day, but it is always a relaxing location. The pool is great and there are camping cabins too.

Overall Rating:

The park was hit and miss with the bathrooms, sometimes great then not so great. We had a smoker that used the bathroom as her smoking den, she was reported several times by other women but she kept on puffing. Nothing was done. No discount for anything, to include how long you stay (2-4 weeks). The road noise was something you had to get use to, or stay inside the camper. The people that work at the camp grounds are very nice. They do a great job of mowing, and keeping the grounds clean. The spaces can accommodate 32′ Trailers and 36′ Motorhomes but a tight fit. There is a laundry room, 2.00 to wash and 2.00 to dry. This park is as close as you can get to the GSMNP entrance, so convenient for us as we were there to hike. Grocery stores and shopping is close too. site #27 , it faces the road on a hill with a wooden deck. Full sun and your bedroom is in your neighbors picnic area. So you can hear everything as they can too. I would pick another site with a front yard of grass and in the back of the park. They charge $3.00 per additional person, and $4.00 per additional vehicle. Pick a spot closer to the back to avoid the road noise. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Clean, well-managed, pretty park that would be perfect for family reunions: good location, on the trolley route, walking distance to restaurants with a nice mix of cabins and RV sites, and a swimming pool for the kids. RV sites are wide, paved, relatively level and have good electrical/water/sewer connections. Park is well above the highway so noise is not a problem. Clean, modern bathrooms, laundry, cable and Wifi. The office manager is wonderful to deal with, knowledgeable and very helpful. Cons: steep entrance hill, some tight turns and sites are short. Our 36' motorhome was snug and motorhomes larger than 40' might want to check with the office to see if they should even try. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

I read great reviews about this park, but was a bit worried when we first pulled in. The park is right on the busy highway of Pigeon Forge, and seemed rather stark. BUT, then we pulled up the hill, and I breathed a sigh of relief. This was great. A nice, clean area. As I scouted around I found clean bathrooms and a clean laundry. After being here a few days I can say, the wifi is one of the strongest we have ever had in a campground. Front desk people are very willing to help with any questions, and the park is on the trolley line, which was important to us. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have been staying at this park for over twenty years. The owners are wonderful and keep everything clean and orderly. The restroom and laundry facilities are very clean and air conditioned with music playing softly. The park is not that large, but you do not feel cramped at all. All sites are fairly level asphalt with a concrete patio and fire ring. Mostly shaded and quiet, while still close to the parkway and the trolley. Wifi is the best of ANY RV park I have stayed at. There is a little hill to get to the park and the sites are on a loop. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Getting here is the hard part. Traffic from I40 thru Sieverville and Pigeon Forge is terrible! It can easily take you 45 minutes to go fifteen miles. The mountains are beautiful and we love it here. After the drive in...you just want to stay!

I have come to rely on the campground ratings from this site and I have never been led astray. And the Foothills RV Park is no exception. This is a small, very peaceful wonderful campground on a small hill at the far end of Pigeon Forge. It was very clean, it was quiet, and it was very well maintained. We were one of about 7 or 8 campers staying on this particular night, which was the week prior to the Memorial Day holiday. We actually got to choose our site after registering, which I'm sure doesn't happen in season. But it's one of the advantages of traveling off season during the week. And I must say that the rest rooms were immaculately clean! I don't think I have ever been in a campground restroom that was as clean as mine at home, and this one was. Great job! My only disappointment was not from the campground, but how honky-tonk Pigeon Forge has become. OK, it's been 30 years since our last visit, but it reminded me of Ocean City in the mountains. All they need is a boardwalk and salt water taffy... We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

10 10 10 all around! people should not pass on the smaller campgrounds just because they're small. this is a excellent basic no frills campground with 37 sites sitting right on the edge of Pigeon Forge making for good proximity to Gatlinburg and "downtown" Pigeon Forge. campground appears to be new or just re-done with exceptionally clean grounds and air conditioned bath house with music, free showers, no touch faucets in sinks, etc. all camp sites are paved and level with amply space and lighted electrical, water, and cable outlets for those coming late at night. wi-fi and cable was excellent. we did see a couple of 38' rigs while we were there. camp hosts are very friendly and accommodating. good things come in small packages and we'd DEFINITELY stay here again. The CR is very small, and immaculate. Extremely convenient to all the attractions and to the trolley stop right outside the camp office. However, do NOT come here to hang out in the campground. This CR is a place for you to park your rig and sleep when you are not out at Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Gatlinburg or the National Forest. Very small lots - so small we had to move our MH slightly over/up on the concrete patio portion so our neighbor's fire ring was not under our slide! We did not have room to park our toad on our site, but there was room in front of the laundry, right across from us. Our MH is 29 feet long. We were comfortable there, and all utilities worked. Cable, of course, is limited. All dogs were leashed. Laundry and restrooms are SPOTLESS! We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Use the trolley around PF. $.50 a ride. If you have to transfer, you pay again. 20 minute car ride to Gatlinburg. Take the tram/cable car up to Ober Gatlinburg. Lots of artisan shops in the area. Going to Gatlinburg take the bypass. Do NOT let your GPS take you on Campbell Leap Road in an RV. It is pretty hairy to navigate, even in a car with hair pin turns and switchbacks, very narrow road, no shoulders and 2-3 foot ditches.

My wife and I have been staying in this park every September for many many years and as long as the current owners have it we will continue to stay there. Family owned and operated with beautiful clean bath houses and beautify landscaped. Paved level sites with concrete patio with picnic tables. We have also stayed in the cabins also and you will find them just as nice and clean as the rest of the park. Just can't say enough good about this park. Overall Rating:

Pigeon Forge has a multitude of campgrounds. This one is very small with a few cabins and approximately 35 sites. As with all the campgrounds here, the sites are close together. The location is at the end of Huskey Street at the top of the hill overlooking another campground. We booked two weeks and loved it. The bathrooms are immaculate. Showers are clean and hot and they do not skimp, even on toilet paper. The entire restroom and laundry facility is air conditioned, and the washer and dryer is only $2.00 per load. The pool is well kept and although on the smaller side it ranged from a depth of 3.5 to 5 feet. We never experienced a crowd at the pool, and we had regular sunny and hot days. The location of the park is at the end of the parkway and just before the entrance of the National Park. The local trolley stops in front of the campground and is a convenient way to get around Pigeon Forge. You are three traffic lights on the parkway from the Dollywood turn and using the back roads you can get to Dollywood in about 11 minutes. As always reported, traffic in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg can be a challenge, but this campground is a jewel at the door of the Smoky Mountains. They have several cabins that are all air conditioned and some even have private bathrooms. They are all well kept and nice. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Small, super nice, family-run campground at the southern most point of Pigeon Forge & at the edge of the parkway to Gatlinburg. It sits on a hill above another very crowded & busy campground, and above the parkway. The sites and road are paved. Sites are lovely with tall trees, a cement patio, nice picnic table and good hookups. WIFI is very spotty. Bathrooms & laundry room are modern and super clean. ($2/wash & $2/dry) There are lots of small cabins here if you want family to join you in the campground. Pool is clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent to go to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or the National Park. We kept extending a day and they worked hard to make that possible. It would be a 10 if the WIFI was reliable. We loved it here! We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A trolley stops out front takes you to Old Mill which has fun shops & restaurants. Go to Farmhouse Kitchens there for lots of sample tastings! The trolley fee's minimal but there's no schedule. (so long waits). Parkway through Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg is madness on weekend. Avoid it! Drive through the campground next door to get to the light to go in and out.

Very nice park. Clean, well laid out, shaded. We were there the first night of the 2012 season, and all appeared new and ready. Suspect it could get a little crowded when full, but still more spacious than many other places we have been. Wi-Fi worked well. Nicest restroom/shower facilities we have seen in a long time. Office staff was knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that you have to be careful how you approach the park from the north. Turn in before the last Pigeon Forge traffic light and then go through another campground that appears to have built on both sides of a city street. We will look forward to staying here again. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We picked this park because of the good reviews we'd read, but it does have some drawbacks worth mentioning. It's easy enough to find and get into, but getting out was always a problem. It's located right at the edge of Pigeon Forge and the traffic pouring into town made getting out on the road a challenge. Also, there was no left turn available so heading toward Gatlinburg meant making a U-turn, not an east thing to do with a camper. We stayed near the front of the park and the traffic noise was pretty bad there. The back of the park had no nice views though so it was a tradeoff. The WI-FI was pretty much unreliable at our camper, but walking closer to the bath house made it much better. The park staff was very friendly and helpful and that made up for some of the drawbacks. If we stay there again we'll definitely go to the back of the park away from the traffic noise. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A really nice park above the highway and noise. You actually drive through another large RV park to get there. Very clean, quiet, clean restrooms and showers. Great pool.
