Not good for pets. No grass. Playgrounds and pool are very nice. Not good for bike riding.

A lot of permanent residents, so it felt like a trailer park. Workers very friendly. Managers very rude even threatening violence. No fire pits and really didn't have the feel of a camp ground in the mountains. Did I mention not pet friendly? They allow them, but the manager made it clear they weren't wanted there. Front desk manager rude as well, just plain hateful. Pool is nice but closes early. Two playgrounds, but can't have your pets on a leash while watching kids play. Area is great just take the shuttle but you can't walk from this campground to anywhere. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Mill Creek Resort, manager at Mill Creek Resort responded to this review

Thank you for your review and I am sorry you and your family didn't enjoy yourselves. To answer some of your concerns. We do have an extended stay area but it is separate from the campground. We have a lot of Dollywood workcampers and retirees stay with us. If your site didn't have a fire pit we would of gladly of brought you one; if you would of notified the office. Pets are very welcome we just ask you not to bring them in certain areas like the activity center, clubhouse, pool area and our rental units. Unfortunally there are some pet owners that don't pick after them. We would hate for a child to step in dog feces while playing. I do hope you can understand that. We keep the pool open as long as possible but due to not having lights in it we cannot leave it open past dark. The tram is a wonderful thing and we love having them stop by our campground. We do realize with us being 3/4 mile away from the parkway it is an advantage.

Roads and turns were very tight and hilly. Cars parked impeded movement. Site itself was not level. There was trash in our campsite. People were not careful picking up after their dogs. Be sure to disconnect tow before driving to space. A left turn out of the campground and then a left at the stop sign will bring you to a light on the corner of the Parkway. It is much easier than turning out of Mill Creek Road. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Thank you for review and tips. We always recommend to unhook tow car before going into site. I do apologize that there was trash at the site. We do our best to make sure our park is well maintained. Hope you will give us another chance.

This is a very average campground. There is nothing attractive about it. Campsites are narrow and have no shade. Basically it is a gravel lot with small campsites. While this is typical for Pigeon Forge, I dislike it very much. The people in the office were nice. My extended family used the rec room for meals and Christmas activities. That worked well. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

A nice well kept campground with good interior roads. A remote quite setting but still conveniently located close to the parkway. Trolley runs regularly to pick you up at the office. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Gravel spots-some quite narrow. Many are permanent residents. Limited green space to walk our dog. Nice saltwater pool. Beautiful tile work around pool and in bathhouse. Only one bathhouse with two showers but had excellent water pressure & hot water. Found reception to be extremely unfriendly. Almost seemed bothered to look away from computer screen when checking me in. Disappointing considering never been to area and would like to have asked some questions. Tips for other Campers:

Area extremely family oriented. The trolley system is an easy and economical way to get around town. Be sure to bring a mat since predominantly gravel around site.

When booking our dates, we were told there was plenty of room and we would have no problem backing in our spot. We had to take one of the extended stay spots which are far away from the office. We were so close to together, we couldn't believe it. We had to back in 90 degrees off the side of a hill. The sewer was running up and we had to buy a 20' hose to connect to it. The spots were tight. We had to rent a golf cart to get to the office to ride the trolley. There was enough room to take our truck down there and it was too far for me to walk with bad knees. It all turned out okay but we will not stay here again nor would have stayed if we would have known the conditions. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 3 nights during Labor Day weekend, so we expected the park to be full and it was. Our site was next to the 2-lane road that serves the entrance to the park, and across from the pool. On the plus side, we had a concrete pad that required no leveling, and also a small concrete patio. The negatives: the trolley stops there about every 15 minutes, on Friday night there were rowdy teens honking their horns incessantly on the road, and no one enforces quiet hours so kids were outside playing and yelling very early in the AM. The office closes promptly at 6 PM so get your firewood early. You must use a fire ring, but only some sites have them. We asked for one and had to provide our credit card number as a security deposit, as "some people steal them." There's no dedicated dog walking area and there are no walking trails. We just walked through the campground for exercise. For Pigeon Forge on a holiday weekend the price was very reasonable. You need a 6-character code to use the restrooms, which were just so-so. Wifi was fine, likely because we were so close to the source. The trolley is very handy. It's $.50 per ride, but it takes 2 rides to get to many places, one to the station and then you have to board a different shuttle. You can get a day pass for $2.50 but you have to get to the station to get one. (It would be nice if they could sell them at the campgrounds.) Overall, we were satisfied, and the price was right, but if we stay there again we'll ask for a spot farther from the trolley stop. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Mill Creek is at a really unique location situated on a quiet road, but just a few minutes from the main drag in Pigeon Forge with all the excitement. Many of the sites are long-term residents which can be a little awkward. The other sites are cramped and you feel on top of other campers. The pool is decent and the playground is nice, but really small. And, the playground backs up to a campsite where you feel like you're right in their space. In the future my family won't be staying at this campground. There are plenty of other choices in the area that offer the same or more amenities and a more comfortable camping situation. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall an "ok" park. If you exceed 40 feet, don't come here. Gravel site was sold as their "premium" pull through site, but it was not level. RV bottomed out entering the site from the driveway and I had to block up one side of the coach to level. Also, I could not pull out the other side without bottoming out even worse, so I had to back out to exit. There are a ton of other parks in the area, suggest you seek out others. Lastly, we paid for four days but needed to leave after three days due to bad weather. Park owner would not budge on their "no refund" policy. Park representative said the owner would not even provide a refund if my mother was dying. Very disappointed in this response. I just believe there are times when common sense and professional courtesy should prevail. I will not return here in the future. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Dolly Parton Lumberjack Adventure was worth the price, the Stampead was not. Don't waste your money on other attractions. Tour the Smokey Mountain National Park and surrounding roads. Best value along with Gatlinburg.

Be cautious if going in under any discount club. Advised when making reservations that RPI rates ($10.00 day + cable) would be honored and when arrived advised it would not and the person answering the telephone and confirming reservations was wrong. Did give Good Sam Discount of 10%

The rate we paid was based on our RPI Membership. The park is a couple of miles from the town of Pigeon Forge along a windy road with Mill Creek running along side. We had a spacious back-in site with a concrete pad for tables & chairs. They have a clubhouse and a pool. It was a nice setting and a great base for touring Smokey Mountain National Park. To obtain a 10 rating it needed picnic tables and a little more landscaping between sites although some of the sites up the hill from the Office/Rec Room may have been a little nicer. Our site was close to the entrance to the park. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

All the graveled sites were back-in. Ours was not level either front tp back or side to side. There was only one bathhouse for the whole campground. To get to the park, you have to travel on a narrow street, and you really have to watch for the turn onto the street between two "landmarks". We camped in a motorhome. Nice friendly staff. Very helpful and informative, Sites were a little close, but most are. A lot of campers looked like full timers that lived there most of the time. The park was clean with some shady spots. There was a non denomination church service and Tuesday game night. The trolley stops by there every 15 minutes to take you to town or Gatlinburg. We would stay there again, especially for the price of being close to Pigeon Forge. We camped at Mill Creek Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Shady, and off the main road. Shuttle to town. Convenient to attractions and National Park. Our site was a bit tight, but okay. The shuttle driving by was a little annoying. Laundry was inexpensive, but only 3 out of the 6 dryers were working. 50amp has additional charge, but 30 was okay at this time of year. Many regulars here, and full time residents. Sites are close, but not cramped. Road into park is narrow, but park itself is roomy enough for navigating through. Just FYI, they charge you if you check in early! I am not so sure what the other reviewers were looking for but we thought this was a very nice place. It was quiet with nice sites. We had no trouble with our awning not being able to open. We also didn't see any sites where we would not be able to open our awning. There are some sites on a hill but the sites themselves were level. It was tucked away a short distance off the main road and that was very nice. The bathrooms were clean and the pool was nice and clean. All of the folks were nice. This was a timeshare campground so a lot of regulars were there. Our site was one of the ones between the country road and the entrance and we had no problem with our three small boys wandering off. So overall we really liked it and would definitely visit here again. They also have a brand new really nice playground! We thought the place was kept up nicely.
