After evacuating Myrtle Beach because of Hurricane Florence, we ended up here in Pigeon Forge KOA. We were only able to stay for 2 nights because of a car show for the weekend and they were booked up. The campground is a typical KOA campground. Overpriced for what you get in my opinion. Our site was a back in that was tight to get into. We did have full hookup with cable tv. The pool was small and the hot tub was tiny. There are better campgrounds in Pigeon Forge, but if you need a place to stay that is close to everything this campgound will do. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is considered a Holiday resort. It is nicely done, clean and fairly spacious for its location. I found the pool very small for this large a campground. And the "hot tub" is able to hold 4-6 people max. There are many things for children to do in this park. We did have an old picnic table with large holes on our site. Our picnic table was very worn out. We received several discount tickets to shows upon arrival. We were not informed that there was a trolley available to us and wish this information was revealed. The traffic to and from Pigeion forge and Gaitlinburg was horrible. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff and tons of things to do in the park. Water , Electric and Sewer were all good and located for ease of use. Site was barely long enough for Motorhome and most sites were that way. Cars parked everywhere they could so roads were a little tight. They have a great restaurant on site that will deliver food to you from 8am to 8pm. daily. Typical KOA with amenities and pricing, first time we have stayed here, we usually go to other campgrounds in the area. This time we had friends with no RV staying in the cabins and I was impressed with thiS KOA. I would stay here again if my cheaper options were not available. We typically don't use the amenities, just sleep there. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Trolley stops in the park or you can walk very easily to the trolley depot, use the walkway to Patriot Park. All of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg can be accessed by the trolley and you can avoid the parking and driving hassle. Tons of Dining, Shopping and Recreation for all ages. Try the Alpine coaster on Wears Valley rd. at light 3. It is a roller coaster that comes down the mountain.

Overall Rating:

The campground is easily situated right off the main drag between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg - so you're super close to everything this mountain town has to offer! Check in was seamless - we arrived and pulled into one of the two check in lanes. Once you've checked in, one of the staff guides you in a golf cart to your site. All of the sites we saw were level and paved (some were pull through and some were back in). We chose a site close to the river, near the back of the property. This is also where tents are able to camp. It's the furthest away from the KOA pool and playground, but everything was easily walkable. Our site had a full hook up (including cable, which we think is just the pinnacle of glamping!). There's also a strong WiFi signal. There were two bath and shower facilities within the site - plenty of showers open every time we checked, and the bathrooms were super clean (and air conditioned!). We chose a Deluxe campsite, which is the top tier in terms of pricing for the available sites here. Each Deluxe site has an outdoor firepit, table with chairs and a full hookup. The campground itself has some really fun things for the kids to do - a Jumping Pillow, a pool, an inflatable water slide, playground, GaGa ball pit, basketball court, pet parks and much more! This is a super family friendly place with lots of kids around. The KOA staff also hosts family-friendly events throughout the day, like T-shirt tie-dying, rock painting, movie night and campfires with s'mores. The staff prints out a schedule for the week, and it's available in the General Store. The KOA Pigeon Forge/Gatlingburg has a camp store with souvenirs (our kids are suckers for souvenirs!), basic groceries, ice, and RV supplies. The campground staff will deliver ice and firewood right to your campsite. There's also a laundry facility on the premises, as well as pet wash stations. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Probably our most favorite find of our trip was the fact that the KOA Pigeon Forge is adjacent to Patriot Park, which includes a giant field and 1/2 mile walking loop. Just beyond that is the trolley station, which for .50 will take you all around town. There are also several cute restaurants and shops.

We stayed three nights here. When we arrived it was a madhouse. It almost seemed like no one had control. But we checked in and had to find our own way to our site. Our site was small and we almost didn't fit. But we managed to get in. The roads are narrow and some tight turns in the park. Over-all it was ok. No real complaints. The people at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The park was quiet, especially considering it is close to Dollywood. Not far to the MANY attractions and restaurants on the main road through Pigeon Forge. Parking for our tow car was tight - had to park sideways in front of the motorhome, very near the narrow interior road. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Pigeon Forge is a tourist "Mecca" - so many restaurants, mini-golf courses, go-kart tracks, etc, etc, etc. Dollywood is nearby on the same road as the park. 18 miles away is the Bush Beans Visitors Center (hit it up on the way in if you are coming from that direction) - we enjoyed it!

When we arrived we had NO escort and had to navigate this park alone. Took us some time to find our site because the park was full. The sites are small and narrow and severely uneven. We couldn't back up enough from the road and our tongue was in the road about 12 inches. We also had a tree that was covered with poison oak. We stayed for 4 nights and almost left early. We stayed during peak season with two adults and two kids. We really enjoyed the stay. The staff was excellent. There were lots of organized activities for the kids. Park was well managed. Only downside was space. We had less than foot between our slideout and neighbors TT. Good thing our neighbors were very friendly. It ended up enhancing our stay because we ended up making more friends. We will be back to stay here next year. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is the park to NOT stay at while in Pigeon Forge because the sites are dangerously close, if I had not yelled a man in a coach would have run into the side of our coach. They charge for a pull-thru which is fake because you have to drive through the site behind you and run across concrete pad and grass and dodge water pipes and in-ground grills, if someone is already there, then you have to back-in and they are so close it is dangerous. People at the office were and are the rudest people I have ever seen at any RV Park. I do not recommend this park to anyone. In fact, I recommend going anywhere but here! Elevated price is due to paying per person extra in my larger family of five. Stay was over Memorial Day Weekend. We visit this area 3-4x a year and bounce between 3 campgrounds - but this may be where we seem to settle after two to three visits now. There is nothing fancy about this campground - it's been around a while, the sites and some of the amenities (like playground or pool area) show that it is well loved. But owners are re-investing. The bathroom/shower facilities we were adjacent to were insanely awesome rivaling what we see in Fort wilderness. Looks like new ground is being broken for another amenity. PRO's: Holy crap, the bathrooms. Access to Veterans Blvd and Teaster back roads are a huge help. Quick access to mountains, patriots park, or main strip. Staff is very friendly. Site was very level with no washout problems. Sites have space and it's not like a refugee camp where we are on top of each other. CON's: Check in process is slow as well as the front counter overall - just too small for the volume. If you wait for an escort to the site, it may be a while. Road's are not marked for directions so you could have two big rigs coming at each other from opposite directions and one would need to back up. Fire rings and placement are "OK". Playground was so worn out and rickety that my kids walked away from it on their own (but looks like a new one may be breaking ground). Overall, I think this wins out compared to nearby campgrounds. Would visit again. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Hit Sugarlands Ranger Station on this side of the mountain and get the newspaper for various events. Highly recommend Big Daddy's Pizzeria, Timberwood Grill at the Island, MagicQuest if you have kids, and I was very surprised at how good the new "Smoky Mountain Adventures" Dinner/Show was (Highly recommend it). If you want a popular trail - Alum Gave, Grotto Falls, Laurel Falls, Cataract Falls, etc - get there early AM to enjoy it.

Certainly a huge campground with very friendly and helpful staff. Seems to be in the process of expanding. It is close by Dolly World. My wife and I stayed during school vacation, so children were running everywhere without any consideration for those campers coming or going. Found the sites very tight, small, & close to one another. If you wished to sit out, relax or grill, it felt like you were infringing on your neighbors territory. Extra space for pull thru and back in were at a premium. We were in a pull thru site which did not have much space once bump outs were fully expanded, but much better than back in sites. The back in sites were set so that the back of each RV were just about touching. My wife and I booked a full hook up, pull thru in advance and only stayed one night, so we did not ask for any changes. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The location of the campground is great! It is central between Pigeon Forge and Gatlingburg. It is very easy to get there from I-40 using the bypass from Sevierville. The people in the office are very nice and accommodating. I booked the reservation on their website and requested a site near the shower house. They put me right across the road. Perfect location. I had a water/electric/cable site and everything was adequate and easy to access. Overall, I'm very happy with my stay there. I was hiking every day in the National Park so I didn't see much of the campground or other amenities. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Truck Camper.

We camped here for 10 days in October at the end of our Blue Ridge Mtns, Skyline Drive, and Smokey Mtns tour. we stayed an extra week to see the whole town along with Severville and Gatlinburg light for Christmas. Campground was right in the middle of the action of Pigeon Forge. a side road with motels in-between buffered out all the noise from the main road

Campground was clean, friendly hosts, lots of amenities, family friendly, nice pool and hot tub and a trampoline for kids, great proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. beautiful Patriots park sits right next door with a half mile walking track we used every day with a great display of Christmas lights to look out on every night. we had a site near the river which was shady and with ample space and geese and ducks to feed every morning.

Old Mill Restaurant right next door also was a great place to eat, very busy and the historic Old Mill area was a nice place to walk through and browse through the shops but hide the credit cards from the wife l o l

wi-fi and cable were both good

we camped here in a 31' Class C MH. would definitely recommend it and would stay here again when the area. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Bathrooms need air conditioning and a remodel. Tight roads and campsites, but the norm for a KOA. Great location as you can walk to Old Mill Village and the main trolley station. Small pool, nice store and great that they have a cafe on property that delivers too!! Needs better signage on where to park your car on your site, maybe the site # with a "P" for parking after it?? Many were parking in the wrong parking spot leaving others with nowhere to park their trucks. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Lots of great activities for families with kids. Overall Rating:

I can not understand why anyone would rate this campground high. Except for the 16 deluxe sites in the north corner all the sites are cramped and have poor access. Interior roads are very narrow and there are a few trees that need to be removed as you can see where some RV's have scraped on them. Of the 16 deluxe sites some are less than 30 feet from a busy 4 lane road which makes them extremely noisy. These are the most expensive sites ($75 to $83). There were many RV's in sites they didn't really fit in or were not positioned correctly so one end stuck out into the narrow access road. They do not enforce their rules of only one RV and one vehicle per site. When I was being escorted to my site we had to stop and get someone to move their third vehicle out of the road so I could pass. Of the four days I was here I saw this infraction being repeated all over the campground. WiFi worked well then it would drop me. One afternoon the maintenance guy was using a string trimmer next to my clean motorhome and slung grass all over one side. They could of done the trimming when the site was empty. The only road in the entire park that was wide enough for two RV's to pass is the entrance road. Oh, did I say the interior access roads were very poor... We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.
