The people at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The park was quiet, especially considering it is close to Dollywood. Not far to the MANY attractions and restaurants on the main road through Pigeon Forge. Parking for our tow car was tight - had to park sideways in front of the motorhome, very near the narrow interior road. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Pigeon Forge is a tourist "Mecca" - so many restaurants, mini-golf courses, go-kart tracks, etc, etc, etc. Dollywood is nearby on the same road as the park. 18 miles away is the Bush Beans Visitors Center (hit it up on the way in if you are coming from that direction) - we enjoyed it!

We stayed three nights here. When we arrived it was a madhouse. It almost seemed like no one had control. But we checked in and had to find our own way to our site. Our site was small and we almost didn't fit. But we managed to get in. The roads are narrow and some tight turns in the park. Over-all it was ok. No real complaints. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

When we arrived we had NO escort and had to navigate this park alone. Took us some time to find our site because the park was full. The sites are small and narrow and severely uneven. We couldn't back up enough from the road and our tongue was in the road about 12 inches. We also had a tree that was covered with poison oak. We stayed for 4 nights and almost left early. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed during peak season with two adults and two kids. We really enjoyed the stay. The staff was excellent. There were lots of organized activities for the kids. Park was well managed. Only downside was space. We had less than foot between our slideout and neighbors TT. Good thing our neighbors were very friendly. It ended up enhancing our stay because we ended up making more friends. We will be back to stay here next year. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Elevated price is due to paying per person extra in my larger family of five. Stay was over Memorial Day Weekend. We visit this area 3-4x a year and bounce between 3 campgrounds - but this may be where we seem to settle after two to three visits now. There is nothing fancy about this campground - it's been around a while, the sites and some of the amenities (like playground or pool area) show that it is well loved. But owners are re-investing. The bathroom/shower facilities we were adjacent to were insanely awesome rivaling what we see in Fort wilderness. Looks like new ground is being broken for another amenity. PRO's: Holy crap, the bathrooms. Access to Veterans Blvd and Teaster back roads are a huge help. Quick access to mountains, patriots park, or main strip. Staff is very friendly. Site was very level with no washout problems. Sites have space and it's not like a refugee camp where we are on top of each other. CON's: Check in process is slow as well as the front counter overall - just too small for the volume. If you wait for an escort to the site, it may be a while. Road's are not marked for directions so you could have two big rigs coming at each other from opposite directions and one would need to back up. Fire rings and placement are "OK". Playground was so worn out and rickety that my kids walked away from it on their own (but looks like a new one may be breaking ground). Overall, I think this wins out compared to nearby campgrounds. Would visit again. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Hit Sugarlands Ranger Station on this side of the mountain and get the newspaper for various events. Highly recommend Big Daddy's Pizzeria, Timberwood Grill at the Island, MagicQuest if you have kids, and I was very surprised at how good the new "Smoky Mountain Adventures" Dinner/Show was (Highly recommend it). If you want a popular trail - Alum Gave, Grotto Falls, Laurel Falls, Cataract Falls, etc - get there early AM to enjoy it.

Certainly a huge campground with very friendly and helpful staff. Seems to be in the process of expanding. It is close by Dolly World. My wife and I stayed during school vacation, so children were running everywhere without any consideration for those campers coming or going. Found the sites very tight, small, & close to one another. If you wished to sit out, relax or grill, it felt like you were infringing on your neighbors territory. Extra space for pull thru and back in were at a premium. We were in a pull thru site which did not have much space once bump outs were fully expanded, but much better than back in sites. The back in sites were set so that the back of each RV were just about touching. My wife and I booked a full hook up, pull thru in advance and only stayed one night, so we did not ask for any changes. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here for 10 days in October at the end of our Blue Ridge Mtns, Skyline Drive, and Smokey Mtns tour. we stayed an extra week to see the whole town along with Severville and Gatlinburg light for Christmas. Campground was right in the middle of the action of Pigeon Forge. a side road with motels in-between buffered out all the noise from the main road

Campground was clean, friendly hosts, lots of amenities, family friendly, nice pool and hot tub and a trampoline for kids, great proximity to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. beautiful Patriots park sits right next door with a half mile walking track we used every day with a great display of Christmas lights to look out on every night. we had a site near the river which was shady and with ample space and geese and ducks to feed every morning.

Old Mill Restaurant right next door also was a great place to eat, very busy and the historic Old Mill area was a nice place to walk through and browse through the shops but hide the credit cards from the wife l o l

wi-fi and cable were both good

we camped here in a 31' Class C MH. would definitely recommend it and would stay here again when the area. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

The location of the campground is great! It is central between Pigeon Forge and Gatlingburg. It is very easy to get there from I-40 using the bypass from Sevierville. The people in the office are very nice and accommodating. I booked the reservation on their website and requested a site near the shower house. They put me right across the road. Perfect location. I had a water/electric/cable site and everything was adequate and easy to access. Overall, I'm very happy with my stay there. I was hiking every day in the National Park so I didn't see much of the campground or other amenities. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Truck Camper.

We stayed for 1 wk and had a deluxe site. We opted for a spot that was bigger and more private from our neighbors rather than shade. We had a concrete patio and a grass area to play corn hole and things although we were up against veterans Blvd. the other spots seemed very close together and we were very happy where we were (spot 182). There is a pathway right into patriot park and close to so much that we rode bikes and walked on most days which was awesome. We came in on 4th of July and saw fireworks right from our patio. I was nervous with booking from reviews but so glad we did. The kids enjoyed the pool, jumped, basketball court and this is a very family friendly place. Staff was wonderful, place was clean, has lots of amenities and location to all areas and attractions is a huge plus! We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Jaydell Ranch is 1 min away. Took an awesome ATV ride (12 and over allowed) so we all went!

Use the Gatlinburg Byway when going into the Smoky's. Traffic in Gatlinburg puts a damper on the experience.

We stayed in pull thru Spot #47, shady, level spot. The campground is well kept with plenty to do. It's very easy to find, close to all in Pigeon Forge, can walk to the Old Mill restaurant , there is a walking track right next to campground. The store and fitness room were decent. It's nice to see recycle bins available. We will definitely stay there again. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

I can not understand why anyone would rate this campground high. Except for the 16 deluxe sites in the north corner all the sites are cramped and have poor access. Interior roads are very narrow and there are a few trees that need to be removed as you can see where some RV's have scraped on them. Of the 16 deluxe sites some are less than 30 feet from a busy 4 lane road which makes them extremely noisy. These are the most expensive sites ($75 to $83). There were many RV's in sites they didn't really fit in or were not positioned correctly so one end stuck out into the narrow access road. They do not enforce their rules of only one RV and one vehicle per site. When I was being escorted to my site we had to stop and get someone to move their third vehicle out of the road so I could pass. Of the four days I was here I saw this infraction being repeated all over the campground. WiFi worked well then it would drop me. One afternoon the maintenance guy was using a string trimmer next to my clean motorhome and slung grass all over one side. They could of done the trimming when the site was empty. The only road in the entire park that was wide enough for two RV's to pass is the entrance road. Oh, did I say the interior access roads were very poor... We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Bathrooms need air conditioning and a remodel. Tight roads and campsites, but the norm for a KOA. Great location as you can walk to Old Mill Village and the main trolley station. Small pool, nice store and great that they have a cafe on property that delivers too!! Needs better signage on where to park your car on your site, maybe the site # with a "P" for parking after it?? Many were parking in the wrong parking spot leaving others with nowhere to park their trucks. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Lots of great activities for families with kids. I really liked how this campground was right next door to the trolley service plus there was a really nice/busy park next door. If you are a runner, it had a 1/2 mile track that you could run on! When we arrived, I asked the girl to look up my KOA membership number. Her response "I'm new, I'm not sure how to do that". She tried and succeeded, but obviously hadn't been trained well. The kid who drove us to our campsite put us in the wrong one. We paid for full hookup so we had to hunt for our site then move-LOL. They have a nice gym on site. The campground was not full, however if it was, I could see these sites being really really tight! We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

We love this campground. It it our "Go To" camping spot when heading for a quick trip to the Smokies. Conveniently located walking distance to the trolley station with a stop right across the street. The Old Mill Restaurant and Village is right there as well. We go there so we can set up camp and never get back in the truck until we are ready to leave. Love this place. The people are extremely friendly and are always planning new activities for the camper families. Our dogs even love this campground! We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in October 2015 actually. We got married in Gatlinburg, then headed to Disney World. We only stayed one night; but was a great place to stay in the area. They put us near the playground and the kids had a blast. Quiet, well maintained and amazing staff. We will stay here again when we return to the area.
