Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Sits by the little Pigeon Forge river that flows into the big Douglas Lake, TN. You can hear the rippling water for real. Nice large sites with green grass and gravel pads. Some sites have concrete patio and others do not. There are some full timers but they are in one section against the hill. This campground is away from the hustle and mess of the Pigeon Forge but still on the main road to get there. I would return to camp here anytime I am looking for that out of the hustle of the main tourist stops of Pigeon Forge and Gatlingburg, Tenn.

we really enjoyed our stay twice this summer. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Close to the hustle of Pigeon forge, TN but far enough away to enjoy this quiet little campground. Just about 1-2 miles from the Knife Store.

We stayed for 10 nights and wish we could have stayed another 10 nights. The park was so peaceful and yet convenient to all of the attractions. The staff and other guests were very friendly. We look forward to a return visit in the summer. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Motorhome.

Scenic Helicopter rides were directly across the street. BQ restaurant was in walking distance and delicious. 30 minutes to Knoxville. Gatlinburg was a fun place to spend a day.

Stayed here 4 nights while waiting to get rig into dealer for service. The staff were helpful and extremely friendly. Access from the interstate was easy, however getting out of the park one has to turn right then do a U-turn to head back to the interstate. Sites were level and due to low occupancy we were able to "pull through" to our site. Some road noise and some litter but overall a nice park. We would stay again. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Be sure to try the moonshine tasting at the distillery. Also, walking around the knife store is an awesome way to spend the afternoon. Had no idea there were so many knives available to purchase.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here four nights in our 33' Class A. The CG is very clean and well kept. On the row furthest from the water are worker RVs. A few of them down on the far end are almost in the undesirable category but we were on the opposite end from them. It wasn't bad enough that I wouldn't stay here again. The staff/owners are all very nice an helpful. Great wifi; very limited cable tv selection. When we arrived we thought - wow, these are some long spots, but after closer examination we discovered that two units can fit on one - back end to back end. Pool was closed due to the time of the year. Very few travelers or vacationers while we were here. Would definitely stay again. The location is wonderful because it's before you get into all the crazy, heavy tourist traffic. Just a short distance past the huge knife store. We were in spot 54. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Motorhome.

It is Sevierville - so it's close to everything. Best food we found was at JT Hannah's Kitchen. Even better than the food was the prices - VERY reasonable. Husband's steak was so good he sent tip to the kitchen.

Lots of shade but some sites are dish friendly...ask! This park is out of the crowds a bit further south...yet pretty convenient to all and Quiet! Good place to spend a week! We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here four nights in November. We backed up to the river and the nearest occupied site was six away. Campground was clean, staff helpful in leading us to site and helping get backed in. Was a little tight because of the trees but sites are good size, although with a large unit on either side, it may get a little close. There are a large number of apparently at least semi-permanent residents along the row nearest the highway but they are well maintained for the most part. Park is handy to I-40 and the tourist sites in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg if you take the trolley; pick it up at Walmart. Staff gave recommendations for places to eat that were great. Down side was spotty internet and the fact that you have to make a right turn out of park, meaning you have to find a place to turn around to get back to I-40. Not a problem in November but would not want to try it in July. Rate was with GS discount. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Following a last-minute decision to take the camper out on a long holiday weekend -- and to a typically crowded "tourist spot," to boot -- we believe we made a good choice with this campground. Thanks to a cancellation, we were able to get a riverside site (our rate reflects Good Sam for this type site), which proved to be very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone and at check-in, and a staffer in a golf cart led me to our site and helped me back the camper in, which is always greatly appreciated. Our site was level and plenty spacious for our 29' TT w/ slideout. This campground was generally very quiet (tho it is across the highway from one of the local helicopter tour operations, which is a sound we eventually got used to while outside), and appeared to be well maintained. Our grandson greatly enjoyed the nice pool (well, we did, too), and the adjacent bath house was very clean with good upkeep. There's also a small playground which we didn't visit. The free Wi-Fi was hit-or-miss while inside our camper (perhaps a function of being near the far end of the property), but no issues while outside. A big plus in my (i.e., the driver's) view was this campground's general location -- close enough to the various local attractions, but not "too close" as to be a traffic hassle, and close enough to I-40 to beat much of the departing traffic at the end of our stay. Should we opt for this trip again (we live ~90 minutes away), we would definitely consider returning here. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a large park situated on a stream and they have a pool. We managed to get in here just before a major thunderstorm, so I was hooked up before the rains came. There is cable TV but we found the All Stars game using the antenna so we left it that way. There are many stations you can get with an antenna. The internet and TV came and went but I have to blame that on the storm. When it back up and running, both ran well. We are going to stay here 3 days. This is a beautiful RV park, right on the river. The park is well kept with beautiful trees and grassy sites. The roads and parking are gravel but the gravel is tightly packed making for easy driving and walking. The management was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! We had reservations at another park, but the ownership changed hands and the new owner's were rude. We contacted Ripplin Waters Campground and they agreed to let us hold our Good Sam Chapter campout here. The staff and the park could not have been any better. Campgrounds were great. I would like to see them add an enclosed pavilion at some time. I will also be glad when the road construction is finished as it is a little hard to return to I-40. Was it worth it? YES. Very nice campground. Good location, spacious sites, very clean restroom/showers. The staff was very friendly and helpful with guiding us into our spot. The only downer was no fire rings, but it was rainy and cold when we were there. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This beautiful campsite is on the river in the heart of town. The level sites are well spaced and include free cable and wi-fi. There's lots to do in the area and we would come back here for a week's vacation. Down the street is a drive through automatic motorhome wash which we haven't seen before. We'll try it on our way out of town. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our 2nd time at Ripplin Waters. We truly enjoy this campground. Mostly because you do not have to deal with the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg traffic just to get to your campground. We used to stay in Pigeon Forge but have decided we prefer Ripplin Waters. We have learned some backroads to get into town when we want and it is must easier to drive without a trailer when picking some of the less traveled roads. The only thing that I would say is bad is the left turn when you are leaving and needing to go back to I-40. You have to go right and make a U-Turn. But my husband says that is not a problem for him, after all he is driving. Park is clean and even though there are some children, it is still quiet. We camped at Ripplin Waters Campground in a Travel Trailer.
