This our go-to overnight campground as we head west. We have not used it to do the tourist stuff in Pigeon Forge. It is nicely laid out with concrete pads. We use a pull-through, although there are lots of lovely river-front back-in sites. The staff is friendly and efficient. The bathrooms look new and are spotless. We were in the section with trees and good shade, which was nice since it was hot. Fortunately there is a stoplight at the intersection of the main highway into town...otherwise it would be hard to make a left turn to head back to the interstate. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

We actually stayed here in August 2015, while on a cost to coast trip. W3e really enjoyed the space, although our site was out in the back area it was wide. drawback to that part of the park is that it has very few mature trees, Mostly just parking. Nice park and I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Have stayed here before for several days but was only here for one night and will stay here again when through the area. Excellent location for going into the local area but far enough out not to be overcome by traffic. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

About 5 miles from I-40 at exit 407 and away from the Gatlinburg traffic. It's acceptable for an overnight but perhaps too far if Gatlinburg and the national park are on the agenda. The entrance road, Boyd's Creek Highway, is a little narrow but manageable. The office staff checked me in quickly and handed me a map. No escort. It's a large park, so some help would have been a plus.

Our gravel pull-through spot was somewhat level. Took a few adjustments with the levelers. Spot was narrow but we didn't have anyone on either side, so it was OK for overnight. Hookups were acceptable. Concrete patios were cracked from tree roots.

Cable was analog with a limited line up. WiFi iffy. Gave up on it.

Our section wasn't really attractive. There were some back-in sites next to the river that were shorter but scenic. I noticed some sites on the way to ours that were very close and very unappealing. People had to sit in their lawn chairs very near the main road.

Pool looked small for a campground as large as this one.

They had a church service on Sunday morning.

Propane was available, but the tank was on the wrong side for us, so we passed on it.

This resort wouldn't be my first choice, but it served the overnight purpose. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Pilot station at entrance to Boyd's Creek Highway won't work for a longer motorhome with a toad.

There's a traffic light at Boyd's Creek Highway. This is important because making a left turn onto the Parkway would be a major challenge.

Park is large and kept very clean and manicured. Sites are extremely tight. Backing a 38' 5th wheel into the space allotted was difficult. When another rig (approx 24' tag along) pulled in next to us there was only about 8' between us. Their sewer hookup was just off our concrete pad.

Water pressure was terrible. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here 4 times now, and enjoy the campsite and its location. We were on a gravel pull through that was level. Although near an extremely traveled main road, you couldn't hear road noise. The staff was very helpful. Great place to stay, and we will return again. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Traffic is horrible in Seveirville along the main road, so it a real plus that the access road to this CG has a traffic light.

Sites are level, with wide gravel roads. The sites are TOO close together, as is typical for private CGs. The sites with the most space are the back in sites along the river (on the higher numbered side) where there is a large lawn behind the camper. There are several fire pits and fishing benches along the river in this lawn area. Unfortunately, these sites are not long enough for even an average length camper and a vehicle to park in front of it. Consequently, your tow/towed vehicle ends up either on the grass or in the road. The pull through sites have enough length for another vehicle. The CG seems secure. The CG provides cable hookup which works reasonably well. The WiFi provided also works well (not sure about coverage over the whole CG). Power and water pressure were good.

This CG is a great place to use as a home base to do stuff in the area, but is not a "destination" itself. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground itself was very clean and nice. Pretty lake to walk near. The bathrooms were disqusting. It smelled like a sewer, shows were filthy. This is my only issue with this campground. It is a very religious lication, fyi. Staff were personable. For being a gravel site, it was pretty level. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground. Sites were well maintained but were close and there was absolutely no shade. The showers and bathrooms were quite a distance away. They should really have some in the back campground area. The WiFi was spotty at best. Lots of difficulty in staying connected. Had cable TV but only about 25 stations available. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park easy asscess from I-40. Roads inside campground are all level and gravel. We had a "back in" to the river - great view.
The sights are the tightest we have expierenced maybe other than once. You are right on top of each other - my awnnings almost touched the RV next to me when I let them out.
The park is very neat and clean and quite - we will most likely stay somewhere else next time in this area. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Traveling back home and decided to spend a few days near Pigeon Forge. Honestly this wasn't our first choice, but after a long drive this was so conveninet to I-40 we decided to give it a try and am I glad we did! This was a great campground. Friendly folks, good size site, full hook ups, an internet that worked plus cable. They have a nice size pool which looked immaculate and laundry which was very clean. Trash is picked up at site daily. Easy to find and the roads within the park easily handled a motorhome with tow. We plan on returning and staying longer. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

My wife and I enjoyed our experience here. A large campground with a mixture of various RVs, long term and weekenders that leave their rigs stationary. We did note that come Monday morning, the maintenance man was busy relocating a number of trailers to the "back 40" lot for storage of the weekender rigs

We had a large pull thru with plenty of room on all 4 sides, but our trailer is small. Even the mega rigs were not overcrowded, had room to park their super-sized dualies. There was a nice stream that help keep temps. Large shade trees but widely dispersed for easy access. The campsite has cabin rentals as well. gravel with concrete pad and picnic table at all sites.

Park was quiet, no loud pets, children or music. Church service was held Sunday morning.

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Only negative- I did use the showers. I am sure the showers were cleaned, not sure what year! Management informed. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

You're just down the road from Pigeon Forge. We ate one night at the Outback, but there are plenty of major name restaurants. Nearby are many shows, dinner shows, and attractions, to keep everyone in the family busy. The Smoky Mountains National Park is not far. IF you like to fish, some had brought small boats to go down the river in, and also there is a Bass Pro shop a few miles away.
