Mar 2018 - $30.00
This is an old campground. A lot of mud. 100% monthly rentals. Open year round. Pool has not worked in years and appears to be no plans to fix it. Quiet. Pretty setting in trees. Unfortunately almost impossible to get a site. Very high demand so looooong waiting list. Sites are spacious. Stayed two months. - traveler7576
Aug 2016 - $30.00
More of a trailer park than a RV resort. Stayed in August and pool was being repaired and had been for months. Water pressure is poor, can't take a shower if your neighbor is. Playground is from the 70's and no entertainment. Not even during Mule Week. Staff was friendly. Neighbors watch every move so nothing will be stolen. - Dyna
May 2016 - $30.00
Wow, this campground has gone through many positive changes this year. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Bathrooms always kept fresh. Only clean, mostly brand new high dollar rigs here. Look forward to seeing this place progress and improve even further. Staff was friendly and had their stuff together. Will be returning soon. - Rv fan
Apr 2010 - $20.00
This is a quiet out of the way park.. But not quite what I expected. The website made it look like a busy equestrian park.. I expected to see campers with horses.. but there were none. It's a good idea but wasn't working. This place was just okay.. No cable, no over the air tv, no Sat tv because of the overhead trees. If you are going to Columbia, TN I would not stay again as it was to far away. On the web site I should have noticed the following: "Photos are indicative of the area, not necessarily what you will see at the park." and "Large graveled semi-level lots." What the website didn't show is exactly what this place is like. I felt safe in this out of the way park but other than that.. I can't say anything else. - Dom A.
Nov 2018 - $35.00
Just stayed here one night, but a beautiful place, well kept, site's are all paved, we stayed in site 16 it was a pull through site and was very level and wide. Would love to camp here again. - Pittsburgh Pa
Mar 2018 - $20.00
A lovely setting in the woods. Very quiet. The sites are all paved but many are very un-level, slopping front to back and/or side to side. Our site, 39, was a back-in and not too bad to adjust for leveling. 4G service was weak & Verizon 3g was strong. No way for satellite with the trees and HD antenna was spotty. But a pleasant place to get off the road and relax. We were here for 2 nights, had a campfire and just hung out. Love this state park. - Afhertzog_54
Jun 2017 - $32.00
The campground is very shady and wooded. We camped at site 35. Our 40 foot motorhome fit with room to park our toad in front. Website stated this site is 74' and site 38 is 94 feet. They are both closer to 60 feet. There are some lower hanging branches coming into the campground that need trimmed. Inside the campground all roads are paved. Be careful some trees are very close to the road. Campsites are spacious with plenty of pavement beside motorhome for chairs, tables, bikes, etc. Concrete table, fire pit and lantern hook. Bath houses are roomy. This is not a gated campground. The swimming pool is not in this area but across the highway. It is like a public pool and the day we went there, they had 4 bus loads of kids. The campground host said it is better after 2pm. Admission to pool for 5 was 12.50, which is half off for campers, you just need to tell them your campsite number and last name. Duck River was muddy from all the rain, so we did not swim in the river. Bike riding was fun. Nice playground. Huge sand area with toys and dump trucks provided. - spoon family of 6
Dec 2018 - $35.00
Twenty-one spaces on an asphalt parking lot. Very narrow and short with little room to maneuver in and out. The 30 amp power at my site had reversed polarity. I checked the 30a at sites 15-20 and found two with reversed polarity, two completely dead, one burnt/melted, and two okay. Litter was everywhere. Any place with such a severe disregard for visitors safety can't get more than one star. Only the 50a was safe to use. The one positive is that you are in the Nashville city limits. There is no shopping or entertainment in walking distance but there is a short drive away. - beemerphile1
Mar 2018 - $35.00
This place is hard to rate. The location to Nashville cant be beat. The price can't be beat. BUT, it's an asphalt parking lot on both sides. The preferable campground is on Smith Ave. It's fenced in and the utilities are in better condition then those on Walsh Rd. They do need attention and there are no circuit breakers on the boxes. The electric was good, good water pressure. Only 1 or 2 spots could fit larger motor homes , it's a tight campground. I'm at 39 feet and hung out into the roadway, while being backed completely up to the fence. The utilities on the Walsh rd. Side are pretty much destroyed and incomplete. With what looks like a couple of squatters living there. Even on the smith side the guy next to me appeared to be living there. The area felt safe enough . - creeper
May 2017 - $35.00
We did not stay here. We went there and when we went up the hill to the spaces we decided it wasn't for us. I think I saw another area for parking that might have been marginally better. The campgrounds in the area charge &50-$70, feel safer and there is a shuttle bus for $10 R/T to downtown. I feel that is a better alternative. - sflabrkr
Oct 2015 - $15.00
We stayed here from Sept 2015 - December 2015 as part of the Amazon Camperforce program; our campsite was paid for via Amazon. The campground is mostly old permanent campers and run down. We were staying in the back and had to be moved because the guy next to us was making all sorts of noise from midnight - 3am. They even told us they had other complaining about him and even one camper called the cops on him yet they did nothing about it but move us to another site.
The only amenities they had were showers and a bathhouse which were run down. The office allowed mail to be delivered for campers but always smelled of smoke and I couldn't even take my kids in due to that.
All in all this isn't a long term stay site. It would be fine for an overnight stop but we won't be back. - FrugalNavyWife
Jan 2010 - $11.00
Campground was clean but had many old and rundown RVs that seems to be here for a while. Most are long term residence, most of them are in small travel trailers. No problems here but folks aren't very friendly. It is the only campground in the local area. We camped here to be close to family in the area. This is just a place to park your RV, no activities in the campground. - nascaron
Oct 2018 - $37.00
Stopped here for an overnight travel stop. Used only electricity and WiFi. Our site was in the middle of a wide gravel area, pretty much undefined except for the hookups pedestal. There is no picnic table or any grass in sight. The whole park is pretty much a small gravel surface. People were very nice and helpful. Dog walk areas are VERY restricted. Overall it met our needs for an overnight stop but would not plan on it for more. - Grumpier99
Sep 2018 - $35.00
I called about 4:45PM and explained my needs, and that I wouldn't arrive until 7:45PM. She told me my rate, said she would leave a map to my site and welcome to Nashville--a very pleasant person. When I arrived and picked up my map, a golf cart came out of the dark and ask me what site I was in, and led me right to it --GREAT service. I set up, then hit the clean showers and enjoyed a quiet night. - Cdr Bob
Aug 2018 - $40.00
Although our reservation was lost, very friendly staff was able to accommodate with a suitable site. (We stayed on the) end of row lot, hence no neighbor on the "eating" side, quiet, some shade, not level. Quality of sites seems mixed: some with adequate space between sites, others with nearly none. Mostly gravel and not very level. Be sure you call before arrival to confirm your reservation. - Uwe
