The park is off a frontage road, but that is not unusual in this area. The park is older so you need to take that into account. The roads in the park were in pretty good condition considering all the rain. And while we were there improvements were already being made. The WiFi was good. One review stated that the women who runs the park was rude, I did not find this to be the case. She was very pleasant. When we arrived at our next RV park, my husband discovered he had left our pressure regulator, he then called Abilene RV park & asked if they would consider sending it to where we were & we would reimburse them for the cost. The said they would. And we received it within 2 days. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Must see: Frontier Texas Museum.

The woman that works in the main office is pretty rude. The man that works there is a very nice humble kind of guy. The park is clean and has good utilities. The first two rows are very close to I-20 and very loud. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Stay towards the back if you are going to stay here.

This park has potential but appears that it is not taken care of. Easy access off of the highway is the only thing that it has going for it. Check in was easy and personnel was friendly but the park is not inviting to sit out and enjoy. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Unfortunately, Abilene has a poor selection of top-rated parks. We stayed a week in a 42 foot 5th wheel. This park is dusty, noisy and has tight sites. The interior roads are dusty with pot holes. Being located right on I-20 allows you to hear and feel the trucks going by. The park appears to have a lot of long time clients with poorly kept RV's. With the prices charged they could at least have cable TV and not just over the air channels. In fairness, they were trying to level the roads and were planting some more shrubs along I-20. If this is the best Abilene has to offer in the way of RV Parks, I'll keep driving next time. The WiFi is okay. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Abilene has a couple of nice gems: 1) Frontier Texas Museum is very well done. 2) Abilene Christian University is a beautiful campus to walk and watch NCAA Division I sports teams in action or take in a play. 3) Best Pizza is at Little Italy on Ambler Ave.

Clean restrooms & showers and easy access to Interstate, but much noise from the road. Hot, windy terrain. The sites are Way too close together with little or no shade. Couldn't put our awning out. We checked in for 2 nites but after the first, I told them I had to leave sooner. The owner graciously refunded my money for the 2nd night, even though she pointed out her printed policy of no refunds. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived on a Sunday, which is the owner or mgr's day off. We picked a site and parked ourselves on the front row next to the frontage road and freeway. The traffic noise was noticeable, but not as bad as the u-turn was to get our 40' rig back onto the frontage road and on to the freeway. We had to ask neighbors to get the WiFi code which was fast and good. We didn't use any of the facilities. Most of the sites appeared to be filled with worker bees - as are most parks in Texas right now. It was fairly clean. We probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

The only reason I give them a 3 is that we paid for one week and after 1 night we wanted to leave and we got refunded the remaining nights. Their idea of a dog walk is nothing more than an overgrown field littered with junk and full of sand burrs. We had to carry both of our dogs out of the area as their paws were full of sand burrs; not pet friendly by any means. The real reason we left after one night is we were given a site that is no more than 30 yards from the interstate. The noise was horrible; worst night sleep I can ever remember. I would stay in a WalMart parking lot or a rest area before ever going here again. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park gets high marks mainly because the gal in the office is so nice. The park is about what you'd expect in Abilene. Gravel roads and sites with few trees, which was OK for us for our roof mounted satellite dish. 3 nights planned turned into 8 due to slide out problems. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for one night. Site was very short for us to remain hooked-up. Many long term or permanent residents. Area could use a good clean-up. Dog walk is County Road. This is a pet peeve of mine. If you allow pets, have a dog run! Freeway noise is loud, especially, on the front row where we were parked. We would return as it's probably the better of all the Parks. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Checked in for 7 nights. Should have taken prior reviews seriously. Small, tight spaces. Gravel sites. Right on I-20 if you have big rig. Tree tore our roof when we pulled in. Site is covered with cigarette butts and dog droppings. Wish there was somewhere else in this area that got better reviews. Don't waste your money. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are very short. Our motor home is 36ft, with a tow. Could not fit in first site and barely fit in the next one. Was for one night, so dealt with the truck sticking out a little at the back. Office was clean, pool area looked good. Lots of residents in this park. If you have a 40 footer, keep going unless you want to unhook. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is next to the freeway-noise all day and night. Roads and sites are gravel, just fit our 37 foot M/H with towed park sidewise across back. Park is clean, many permanents. Staff was friendly and shopping not to far away. Water, power, and cell (AT&T) was good. We would try to find something farther from the freeway next time we are in the area. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an adequate place to stay on the way through Abilene. The shower/bathroom facilities are very clean. The Wi-Fi was adequate. The park sits on I-20 so it is a little noisy. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had stayed here a few years ago, and we had forgotten just how noisy this place is! As far as being big rig friendly, we camped here in a 36' RV with a towed, and with 2 slides. The sites were very narrow and we barely fit lengthwise. The manager was very friendly and helpful. However, we won't stay here again because of the road noise from I-20. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a clean park and convenient to the I-20. However, unless you enjoy traffic noise or can remove your hearing aids at night, it is very noisy. Pull through sites are short. We have a 30 foot RV and could barely fit our dingy on it also. Website advertises free coffee in office. When we checked in, there was a layer of mold floating on the half-full pot of coffee. Pool was closed. Owners were happy we were there, and were very nice. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.
