This is mostly a residential park, with some travelers like us. Staff was pleasant and escorted us to the site. The sites are tight, and the night we stayed was after some heavy rain. Our concrete pad was wet and the as soon as I stepped off the pad I was in mud. Called it "satisfactory, since they can't control the weather. Not a joy to hook up in, but it was just for the night. The park is right on the parallel access road along I-20 which is nice is you want accessibility, but the traffic noise is constant. We were toward the rear of the park, so it didn't keep us awake. We didn't use the cable, and didn't venture out into the mud (and it was after dark) so can't rate any of the grounds or facilities. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Just outside metro DFW

Stayed here one night. WiFi worked well. Utilities were good. We had no issues but did not use the cable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Easy access from I-20. We would stay here again. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

The sites are ok but the park is 90% permanent working people so it's not the same for people who travel. The pool was way up front so we didn't use and didn't ever see anyone in it. The cable was terrible, all snowy had to put the cable thru are window and hook directly to TV. Not a lot to do in the area but we were only there a few days and it was very hot. I was grateful to get one of the few big shade trees over camper. Laundry up front was clean and the dog runs were okay. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoyed the Historic district in Fort Worth and had a drink at Billy Bob's.

Large park close to Interstate. Our site was toward the front of the park so there was some road noise but not too bad. Cable TV was snowy so we used the satellite. Sites, while paved and long, were somewhat narrow and close to neighbor. No paved patio but nice grass between sites. Sites furnished with a table and grill. Garbage cans located every few sites. Utilities were well located and worked fine. Check-in was friendly and easy. While entry road is paved, side roads have some pot holes. While not a great park appears to be the best one close to Fort Worth. We would stay again. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Mesquite Pit in Weatherford, about 12 miles west is very good family restaurant

Stayed here several times during the fall and winter of 2014. Great and easy check in. Main road is concrete but watch out for the large speed bumps. Other roads are gravel and full of potholes. The showers and restrooms are the cleanest and most private we have encountered, but watch your step as the tile floors can be slippery when wet. Spaces are close but manageable. Getting satellite was no problem. Best to make reservations because this is a popular campground. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Popular campground so make reservations. Very big rig friendly.

These folks know what they are doing. Though many campsites were long stay persons, there were plenty of short term campers like us. We got a concrete hardstand and had no issues with our satellite. Hookups all fine. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Is a great stop for us to see family and friends in the area and we will be back! We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the better RV Parks near Fort Worth, That being said it leaves a lot to be desired. It has a paved interior road down the middle but most of the sites are on gravel roads. That wouldn't be so bad if the management would keep them up. Be prepared to shake everything you have in your rig when you drive down these roads even at the posted 7 mph speed limit. They say they don't fill the huge pot holes to keep the traffic slow??? These are some of the worst roads I've taken my rig on. In addition, the cable TV here is the worst. You are OK if you have your own satellite dish. In fact, if you want to watch TV you better have your own dish. On the bright side, the restrooms and laundry facilities are very clean. This is an OK place for a day or two. I'll try to find another RV Park the next time I come through the area. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just completed an RV rally here with 12 rigs of varying sizes. Check-in was a breeze, but take notice of strict pet leash policies. Park has many dog walk parks located throughout. Park has fair amount of long-termers, and their rigs are well maintained. Main drive to sites is concrete, and concrete pads are fairly level. However, the side drive lanes are gravel/road base and desperately need to be bladed--watch for potholes. Park is immaculate, otherwise well maintained, clean and exceptionally friendly staff. Restrooms are fully ADA compliant and pristine. Cable TV reception was terrible, so we used OTA batwing and got major network local channels and a few extras. Wi-Fi worked well at our site. Good water, sewer (must use 90 degree sealed connection) and electricity hookups. Will definitely stay again! We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Convenient access to I-20, east of Weatherford, and about 20 minutes from downtown Ft Worth. Good eateries (Railhead BBQ and Fish Creek) and Walmart each within 15 min drive. Grocery at next exit. Verizon worked well. Don't miss Museum of the Americas (Weatherford) and Ft Worth Botanical Gardens.

We stayed here two nights on our way to NM. We used this RV park as our base for exploring Ft. Worth. This was a good place to stay, as it was convenient to Ft. Worth and close to shopping. Staff was very helpful; they provided us maps and information on Ft. Worth attractions. Glad to see another RV with concrete pads that make leveling so easy. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've stayed at Cowtown several times. The rate shown is the nightly rate. If you stay longer you pay a lot less. The month-long rate is $325-400 plus electric, depending on the site. There are three sets of bathrooms and laundry rooms. All are kept clean and are reasonably modern and attractive. The staff is very helpful, but not necessarily overly friendly. They have 2 playgrounds that are in need of some repair. Also, we did not use the cable TV, and the wifi is in-and-out. The signal is strong but there are times it can be painfully slow. Overall a nice park with a limited number of reasonable rules. Our campsite was pretty muddy. Most are not. Most have good grass. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is the weekly rate. The campground is well maintained. Most of the sites are filled with permanent residents. The staff is not all that friendly and strictly enforce the campground rules, which is not a problem. The cable tv is a total joke….. I had them check it but for the duration of my stay it did not work well. I finally just used my regular antenna w/ very limited channels. The restrooms were well maintained and all the other utilities work OK except for the WIFI. In this case, the signal showed to be strong but was extremely slow. I’m not sure I would highly recommend this place and would only stay here again if there were no other options. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Surprisingly quiet because parked in the back part away from highway. Nice sites. Really friendly and efficient check in. Very helpful what to do in Fort Worth. Only two toilet/shower rooms. Sometimes a wait. Very nice facility. We stay there again. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Motorhome.
