East end of Amarillo. Run down. Choose your site well. We set up in site 21 and while setting up the electric kept going out. We moved to site 25 and everything was fine, There are sounds of trains, planes, and automobiles in the distance, but you have to listen for them, they are not really a problem. Can't beat the price, Passport America is $14 a night. Pay at the "office" with money in an envelope. Cash or check only. Or pay at the convenience store across the street. A major storm hit when we were there but no electrical issues. We have a 35 ft. Motorhome and found the site we took was fairly level. 5 bar excellent WiFi. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

A great place to overnight while on the road. All pull through sites that are very long and angled. Interior roads are easy to get around even with a long 5th wheel toy hauler. Utilities are good except I saw some sewer pipes where way to high for an easy flow from an rv. It is not a resort but for $14 who cares it is easy off the interstate easy to get in your site and back out. I felt completely safe here some noise but again who cares I slept like a log. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Just a place to overnight. No frills. Jets overhead coming in for landing at nearby airport but that seemed to stop after midnight. Lots of freeway noise. Convenience store across the street is all there is in the near area. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

SHOTS FIRED At 3AM on a cold windy rainy night, the cops knocked on my bedroom window and said there was a complaint of shots fired from my site. I said there were none and they went away. PROS: $14 with Passport America, convenient to I40, good water, 60ft pull through site, level, convenience store next door. CONS: Trash all over, noise from I40, store has bars on windows, derelict RVs at campground, barbed wire fences We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This would be a nicer park if the trash was picked up by management. We were surprised being a Passport America referral that it would be better managed There is no office the only contact I had with mgt was over the phone There is a box with pay envelopes but I paid at the store across the street They accept cash or credit cards Sites are gravel and pretty much level, water pressure was good. All sites are pull thru and full hookups 20/30/50 Long enough to accommodate my tow vehicle without unhooking. No cable but 20 channels of OTA WiFi was sporadic as I kept getting notices on my laptop that range was to far away from connection The password given on the notice board was not correct and I informed mgt but they didn't seem to be concerned Seemed to be many long termers and old trailers scattered about Roads in park could use grader support Would be a nice park if some TLC were applied Sufficient for an overnite stay is the best I can advise. We stayed here in a 32ft Travel Trailer. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park located on exit spur 228 east of Amarillo ( north about .5 mi from freeway.) Easy access on & off Hwy 40. About 10 min from Amarillo Convenience store, gas & propane refill across street from park. Closes at 9pm You can pay park fees here also

Internal roads are rough gravel, sites are gravel, mostly level pull-thrus, facilities worked well, but are located way to the side of the site, so you will need longer cords/hoses. Site was satellite friendly.

There is a self serve pay spot in the park, or to use a credit card you have to go across the street to check in after you set up. Staff was friendly. Park WiFi is free and worked well most of the time. T-Mobile cell service was fair to good 4G. The park is close to the interstate but tolerable. We would stay here again. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great over night RV Camp with FUH 50 amp for the price of $13.50 we are boondocking animal's and love this place for the price with FHU, there's no bathrooms showers laundry or swimming pool but you're not paying for them either, we have a 38' coach and a 4-Door Jeep JK towed and had no problem maneuvering around camp or spot, we will stay again. Not perfectly level spots but flat, and for the price Great Spots! Nothing fancy but agian your not paying for it. This is a great RV Camp for a night or two, if you want fancy look for a higher priced place. 50 amp service, water and sewer located perfectly. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Great value; good location, water pressure and electricity. Resident llamas, burro and emu. Excellent Verizon coverage; dozens of OTA channels. Site 11 needed levelers on the passenger side. Road noise can be a problem; best turn on a sound machine. We will stay here again on our next trip thru the area. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kwahadi Museum of the American Indian is an active and beautiful heritage center as well as a museum. In addition to exhibits on Native American culture & art, the center offers traditional dance performances, and serves as the meeting hall for Boy and Girl Scout troops. Many of the scouts earn merit badges for learning and performing traditional dances, art and crafts. Hours vary by season, check before you go.

Your basic PA stopover RV Park with full hookups. Gravel drive with grass between the sites. No amenities. Just off the freeway so there is a little highway noise and close to the airport with some airplane noise, but not objectionable. Took in the Big Texan Steak House which is worth the meal. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Quick on/off IH 40. Everything worked. Great for an overnight stop. AOK has a split personality with older trailers/long term residents on one side and newer rvs on the other. I'll probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Travel Trailer.

There was an ostrich and alpaca grazing just outside the park. OK, it might have been a llama and emu, I don't know the difference.

No amenities and just east of Amarillo. Cash price. Sites on on dirt, so if it has rained it can get muddy. There are some long term, but kept neat. If no one is around gen use the honor system. The older gentleman that owns the place is friendly. Beats paying Forty dollars for just passing through. Good for night. May stay here again. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Convenient to I-40, basic park. Easy to navigate, pull thru's. Turn in and continue straight between two small buildings, the one on the left is office but no one was there when we arrived. Envelopes and a mail slot are available. Fine for overnight, no amenities but if you're traveling and need a spot, works great. We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is indeed a no frills park but a great economical place for a few days while seeing Amarillo. (especially for Passport Am. members) They have recently added 15 sites along the north edge of the park. Long level pull-throughs with full hook ups including 30/50 amp service. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful with info about finding the park and how to pay, etc. The biggest problem was road noise but with the windows closed it did not disturb our sleep. The price you pay for easy on/off the interstate. Would stay again when in the area! We camped at AOK Camper Park in a Motorhome.
