Having experience with other local parks, I would say this is the least expensive quality park in the area. Arrived in mid-afternoon with no reservation. Got a decent site, though a little short for a 40' coach with tow. Typical dirt/gravel with relatively wide streets. Good utilities, power/water/sewer. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Nice place for an overnight. The campground is level on gravel. We barely fit in w/o unhooking our toad. Sites are close together, park was not crowded, but we had neighbors. Hookups all worked OK. Seems to be a well managed park. We would stay here again. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Nice place to stay for an overnight. The campground is level on gravel. We barely fit in length with toad, w/o unhooking out Jeep from 40-f0ot RV. While sites are close together, park was not crowded, so we had no immediate neighbors. Hookups all worked OK. Seems to be a well-managed park, not heavily advertised, so not crowded with customers. We would stay here again. What the others said about this campground is still true almost a year later, same sweet old man, same price, gravel, sites close together, quiet, convenient. Laundry facilities ($1 per wash and dry, 2 sets) and bathroom facilities are in good condition. Some loose dogs, but not a single issue with my dogs. It is about 1/2 mile walk down the access road to the Cadillac Ranch. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

- There is a new brewery about 6 miles away called Long Wooden Spoon (LWS) Brewery. - Take a left out of the parking lot on Hope, when you get to the stop sign, take another left. There is a whole variety of animals in the yard. They are super friendly; the bison was smitten with one of my dogs. - Palo Duro Canyon (30 miles away) is freakin' amazing.

Very neat entrance and easy to access. Right off the freeway.

It was past office hours, but the elderly gentleman who managed the place came right over in his golf cart and checked us in. Nicest guy you could ever meet...could've been my grandpa. Price was fair.

Park was fairly full mostly permanents or monthlies (some need cleaned out, but overall not bad). Roads were gravel. Sights were gravel. Our sight was NOT level. Utilities were perfectly located. Very easy to get situated. Gentleman helped me get straight and even in the back. Barely fit and had to unhook (although he said staying hooked up wasn't an issue if I was comfortable with it).

We are actually in West Amarillo which may be an issue for 'walkers'. You will have to drive to town, but not far. Freeway noise is there, but not bad. Nice privacy fence along frontage road. Some trees and some shade.

I felt the value was good.

Pleasant stay and would come again. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed a week, clean, convenient. Biggest issue is that they allow tourists or passersby to use the restrooms. It's constant so when you are in the shower anyone can walk in. Kinda scary, also with the gift shop (aimed at tourists, no camping equipment or food sold.), tourists come in and photograph the campers! They were taking pictures of us like we were on display lol. Bottom line, if you stay here, ask for a spot in the back. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Believe this park has recently changed owners/name - no web site but phone number was good. Called ahead same day and was able to get site with late arrival (manager even came around to see that we found the site). The sites are close together and looked to be older. No problem leveling our rig and hooking up. There were several long-term residents. The car display and large cowboy statue are a nice touch. This park just east of the Cadillac ranch outside of Amarillo. Easy access to I-40 and there was some road noise (didn't keep us up at night though). A good choice for our overnight stay. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has become so run down since we last stayed here. Price hasn't changed but there is no cable TV and no Wi-Fi. Spaces are so dirty with weeds not controlled. So many permanents with no care at their spaces. We won't stay here again. Sad, as this was such a convenient park to the freeway. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park was an excellent stop for the night. There appear to be quite a few full timers here, but that didn't bother us. The manager was very friendly. The parking spots are tight, but that didn't bother us either. We were going to stay at the park across the interstate. However, they wanted more then double the price, of this place, for our group. We left there, and came over here, and like the place. Most of the sites are pull through. We have a 45' rig, and didn't have a problem. Overall, I would say the park is clean. The restrooms were newly remodelled, and clean. Bottom line? Yes, we would stay here again in the future. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We were in site #43. The majority of sites are pull-throughs with the outside edge back-ins and the more permanent RV's. This was a good stop to rest, which is all we did. Sites are all gravel and the road is dirt with some potholes in it, make sure you go slow. Site has nothing in it since they mostly get overnighters. Size was ok, but we only deployed our bedroom slide to sleep. There were bushes and trees between many sites. But the sites are quite close together. There is a laundry and the bathrooms were clean. They have cable TV, but we didn't use it. It is 1 exit east of the Cadillac Ranch, and a Love's Gas station. Easy in and out on the frontage roads. Shopping is nearby in Amarillo. The road noise was loud, so hopefully you are so tired it doesn't bother you. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This is a perfectly nice parking lot-type campground, close to the interstate. The Wi-Fi no longer works (canceled contract). The bathrooms are spotless and modern. There is a lot of road noise, but it's fine for a night. It's right by the Cadillac Ranch. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This park is for a quick pull-off from the freeway, just to spend a night. Park Roads are bad and permanent campers are not that tidy. Park could use a good clean-up. Freeway noise is loud. Park is pet friendly but no place to walk pet. WiFi was good. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Small park. No frills. Inexpensive. Park on gravel. Friendly staff. Close to town. Great for 1-4 nights. It's not a "destination" park, but I would stay there again if I were passing through. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Pull-thrus are 16'x60'. Great for a one night stop, especially if you have a long rig as we do, (54'). The new Gander Mountain store is also at this exit. (I-40 and Hope Road, Exit 72 or 70, on south service road) Next door to Sundown which is also reviewed on this list. We have stayed at both, but most of the Sundown sites are only 50'. TL rating in 2000 was "park: 4. 5, Restroom: 5. 5, scenic: 5" Phone 806-352-8567. Open all rear. It appears that the 2000 Trailer Life was the last year that this CG and Sundown were listed. We camped at Cadillac Ranch RV Park (formerly Amarillo West View RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.
